All roads lead back to the mysterious mob boss known only as La Bestia, but under his violent reputation there may just be more than meets the eye. Not to mention what could happen when the ruby’s curse comes into play…

Mulan: A story of espionage & intrigue set in Japanese-occupied Shanghai during WWII. After building a life for herself as a woman, Mulan returns home following her twin brother’s disappearance, where she discovers he used his role as a member of the puppet government to spy for the resistance. Sharing his loyalties to their homeland, Mulan vows to complete his mission–even if it means the risk and burden of once again presenting as a man. With a friendly-if-inept forger and his chipper mute assistant on her side, Mulan uses her brother’s identity papers to report for duty as a double agent. Now if only she can keep her many identities a secret.

Pocahontas: As her father leads the protest against an illegal oil pipeline on tribal land, Pocahontas, the only P.I. on the rez, takes it upon herself to investigate Jamestown Energy’s criminal dealings. She finds an unlikely ally in the form of a (tall, blond) Jamestown geologist beginning to question his employer’s orders. Throw in mysterious digging appearing overnight, vandalized excavation sites, and corrupt oil executives willing to destroy communities & families in the hunt for black gold. Remember, things aren’t always as they seem–when it comes to corporate greed, they are often much worse.
