insane the way these stories always ask is it worse to be betrayed by god or by your father. is it worse to be hurt by the devil or by your father. is it worse to be abandoned by the angels or by your father. but it doesn’t actually matter how you answer, because there is no god or devil or angels, it’s only your father in disguise, and even if they were real, they wouldn’t save you anyways

just minding my own business watering my plants and the enormity of dean winchester hit me again

he lost his home when he was four years old and from then on he did everything in service of keeping his family together and making sure his loved ones were safe, even when they hated him for it, even when they left him (and they all did), and he put himself on the line and put his dream of having just a little tiny slice of happiness for himself in a locked safe and threw away the key because his happiness was not important compared to that of everyone around him. and he tried not to complain and tried to keep up a brave face for everyone else and i can count on one hand how many times someone asked how he was and actually wanted to hear the answer. but he kept going. through all of it he kept going. and then they killed him rather than let him be happy.

One time when I was younger I was refusing to take headache medicine and my mom said “the person who invented that medicine is probably so sad you won’t let them help you” and now every time I find myself denying medicine I just imagine the saddest scientist making those big wet eyes like “why won’t you let me help” and whoop then I take the medicine
