Hey yâall Itâs been a minute since I last posted writing and I fell off the planet for a while and Iâm sorry about that.
I was just in a bit of a writing burnout and I couldnât make anything that I liked and wanted to post so I just took a break and stopped trying to force any writing.
And here we are Iâm back and hopefully Iâll be able to put out more writing in a timely fashion.
Hereâs the second part to that rock request itâs a bit short I hope you donât mind.

âToday was nice.â
You and Enji stood outside of your apartment after just having been out on a date.
He gently held your hands in his.
âYes it was, thank you for convincing me to come.â
âWell someone has to get you out of your office and away from hero work for a while.â
A small smile tugged at Enjiâs lips.
You had come to his home unannounced and dragged him out of his office claiming it was date night and that he has 30 minutes to get dressed.
He would never let anyone come into his home and issue orders to him but when it came to you he just couldnât say no.
âWell, itâs getting rather late now, and I must get going.â
Enji leaned in and pressed his lips to your forehead.
âHave a good night now y/n.â
He gave your hands a firm squeeze before pulling back and beginning to walk away.
He made it a few feet before your voice called out to him.
âWait, Enji!â
Enji paused and turned to see you walking towards him while rummaging through your pockets.
You stopped in front of him and continued checking your pockets until you felt something solid at the bottom of your back pocket.
âAha, here!â
You grabbed his hand and placed something in his palm.
He raised a brow and looked down at what you put in his hand and was confused.
You gave him a small matte red stone.
âThank you but what is this?â
âItâs a rock, I saw it on our walk and it reminded me of you so I picked it up.â
Enji felt his face heat up as you gave him a sheepish smile.
âYou donât have to keep it, I know how silly it is.â
Enji closed his fist around the rock and put it in his coat pocket.
âNo, Iâll cherish it forever, thank you.â
Enji took your hand and pressed a kiss onto the back of your hand before turning and exiting.
You thought when he said he would cherish it you thought he was going to just put it in his desk drawer or something.
But what he had done instead was to have the rock professionally detailed and placed inside of a small glass box that sat on his desk at his agency on full display.
And if anyone tried to ask where it came from they were simply brushed off and the subject was changed.
He always gave it a glance when nights at the agency ran late and when heâs exhausted from his duty.
It always seemed to give him a small kick to keep going and try his best.
Although if you asked him about it heâll just tell you that itâs a gift from you so of course heâd keep it and show it off.

Ryoko who is a really intimidating hero doesnât have many young fans and usually causes younger kids to cower away when he looks at them.
He was on his usual patrol route by the local park when he felt something tug at his pant leg.
He turned and saw a small boy staring back at him holding something behind his back.
He glanced around and saw a nervous looking woman who he assumed was the childâs mother watching him.
âUm, mister hero?â
Ryoko kneeled down to the childâs height.
The kid looked embarrassed, face turning pink.
âMy mommy and my friends think youâre scary b-but I think youâre really cool when you fight villains and stuff so I made this for you so I hope you like it.â
He pulled a piece of paper out from behind his back and held it out to Ryoko.
Ryoko took the paper and looked at it.
The contents warmed his heart.
On the paper was a messily made drawing of Ryokoâs most recent heroic deed he was wearing a cape in front of some knocked out villains in front of a bank.
On the left side was a drawing of the kid with a speech bubble saying *âso cool!!!â*
âThe cape was my idea because I thought it was cool.â
Ryoko looked up from the drawing at the kid.
He looked nervous.
âDo you like it?â
Ryoko couldnât fight off the small smile that made its way onto his face.
He reached up and ruffled the kids hair.
âI love it, thank you, Iâll be sure to keep it forever.â
The kid smiled wide and threw himself onto Ryoko giving him a hug.
Ryoko was shocked but quickly got over it gently hugging him back.
The kid pulled away and grinned at Ryoko.
âIâm glad you like it, Iâll let you go back to doing your hero job bye!â
He ran back towards the nervous woman from before but this time her nervous expression was replaced with a relieved one instead.
She looked at Ryoko and gave him a grateful smile and he nodded back.
Ryoko stood up again and looked at the drawing in his hands.
He was going to treasure it forever.
Getting home to his apartment Ryoko immediately went to his room and gently placed the plastic bag he was holding onto the bed.
Reaching inside he pulled out a brand new picture frame.
He reached inside his pocket and pulled out the drawing and gently unfolded it, smoothing it out as much as possible before placing it inside of the frame.
He closed it up and walked up to an empty space on his wall and hung it up.
He took a step back.
The completely barren wall was now populated by the single framed drawing that the child had given him.

You were sleeping peacefully in your bed.
It was the weekend and training had been tough that week so you took the chance to sleep in late.
But not all things go according to plan.
Suddenly you were woken up by someone shaking you.
âHm?â
You barely opened your eye when you were picked up and set into your feet, extremely confused as to what was happening.
You looked around with your bleary eyes and saw Tenya.
He was saying something, doing his usual air chopping and digging into your drawers but with your sleep-muddled brain, you didnât understand any of what he said.
The only thing you could make out was to get ready.
You were ushered out of your room, downstairs, and into the boysâ dorm bathrooms to get ready by Tenya.
You didnât understand what was going on and just did what you were told still half asleep and dosing off every couple of seconds.
You only really snapped out of your sleep-deprived haze when you stepped outside.
Tenya had dragged you into yet another early morning jog.
You turned to Tenya who was doing stretches.
âTenyaaa itâs too early for this, I just want to sleep.â
He straightened up.
âNonsense, itâs important to not slack off from doing your daily exercise!â
You groaned knowing thereâs nothing you could say thatâll stop him from dragging you out.
âNow, (Y/n) no more complaining, come on weâll start off easy with a mile!â
He took your hand in his and began dragging you along with him as he started running.
An hour had gone by full of just running, well for Tenya at least.
The hour for you was filled with slow jogging and getting passed by Tenya several times.
You were slumped against a nearby bench groaning from how tired you were.
âTenya can we go back now?â
He looked at your pouting face and sighed.
âI suppose we can end early, but that means we will have to train extra hard to make up for it.â
You cheered just ready to go back and take the worldâs longest nap.
âJust let me go get us something to drink itâs important to stay hydrated after all.â
You gave him a thumbs up in response.
Tenya stood at the nearby vending machine holding his can of orange juice rubbing his chin and debating on what to get for you.
âI shouldâve asked him what he wanted before I left.â
He was about to press the button on the machine when your voice called out to him.
âTenya!â
Said boy jumped and spun around seeing you running towards him.
You never run willingly so something must be wrong.
Tenya immediately revved his engines and met you halfway, skidding to a stop just before you and placing his hands on your shoulders.
âWhatâs wrong, are you okay, are you hurt?!â
âLook!â
He watched as you brought your hands up they were cupping something.
You opened your hands and he saw a silver palm-sized stone.
It was smooth and slightly glossy.
âIt reminded me of you so I picked it up and wanted to give it to you, here!â
You placed the stone in his hands.
He stared at the stone lying in his palm and felt touched that you thought of him, even if it was something as silly as a rock.
âAs touching as this sentiment is, I was worried about you I thought you were hurt!â
You just laughed as he began ranting, air chopping, and robotic movements as he went on about how unsanitary it was to pick up a rock off the ground without washing it first.
âNow, come letâs go back and get cleaned up.â
He took your hand in his and began dragging you once again back towards the dorms.
But what you couldnât see was the pink tint on his cheeks and the way he slipped the rock into his pocket.

Enji has freckles.
Theyâre normally very light, almost invisible, but after a long day of hero work, having his flames turned on almost every second of the day and being out in the sun they become darker and more defined.
They fade again after a few hours until he returns to hero work and turns his flames on again.
The first time you had seen them was the first night after the two of you had moved in together.
Enji had walked out of the bathroom, freshly showered with no shirt, and laid himself down on your shared bed and let out an exhausted sigh.
He closed his eyes and let himself relax in the quiet room.
He started to doze off until he heard the door open and close, footsteps leading to the bed and the mattress next to him dip down before he could feel you press yourself into his side.
Something warm touched his face.
His eyes slowly opened and he saw you there hand up, gently stroking his cheekbone with your fingers.
âYou never told me you had freckles.â
Enji reached up and put his hand on yours you can feel the skin beneath your fingertips starting to warm up.
âIt never came up.â
You shifted, letting go of his face and maneuvering yourself above Enji straddling his waist being able to see all of him.
His freckles are most prominent across his cheekbones and on his nose except for the rough skin of the scar on the left side of his face, they thinned out down his neck before appearing at full density again along his broad muscled shoulders and down his chest.
Enji blushed and squirmed as you just sat and admired him.
âWhat are you doing?â
You reached up and began softly tracing your fingers over the freckles on his shoulders.
âYour freckles are so pretty.â
His face burned hotter, his cheeks beginning to turn brighter red causing his freckles to stand out even more.
âTheyâre nothing special, just some bothersome dots marking my skin.â
You leaned down cupping the sides of Enjiâs face brushing your lips against his and kissed the corner of his mouth.
âThatâs not true, theyâre plenty special.â
You pressed kisses along his jaw then up on the apple of his cheek where the freckles were the most dense.
âThey look amazing on you.â
You kept pressing soft kisses on his skin where his freckles were and whispering soft praises.
Enji felt his heart swell with warmth at the affirmation whispered to him along with the tender touches.
He didnât know what to do except to accept your affection.

He watched you stand up and rush out of the booth towards the restrooms.
Enji ran his hand over his face and sighed.
He felt so stupid. Maybe he shouldnât have brought up such a serious proposition on what you thought was supposed to be just a simple date.
âI need to apologize to him.â
You paced back and forth in the bathroom.
You meeting his family?
More specifically his kids.

You silenced him by covering his mouth with your hands. You moved your hands from his mouth and placed them gently on his shoulders.

âWell, itâs understandable to be nervous when meeting a loved one's family.â
You sighed and lightly patted his shoulders.
âItâs not just nervousness Enji.â
He looked at you confused.
âIâm also afraid that if I met them that they wouldnât approve of our relationship because I mean, look at us, weâre not exactly what people would call a normal couple.â
Your grip on his shoulders tightened
âBecause paired with your past thereâs also the fact that Iâm almost half your age, I look like I should be Fuyumiâs boyfriend insteadâ
You sighed.
âI just donât want them to hate me before they can get a chance to really know me because Iâm honored that you want me to meet your family but Iâm scared.â
Enji reached up and placed his hand on your chin gently turning your head to face him. He leaned down and softly pressed his lips to yours.
The kiss lasted for a minute and he could feel you start to relax against him.
Breaking the kiss he pressed his forehead against yours and cupped your face with his much larger hands stroking your cheeks with his thumbs.
âYou donât have to meet them now thereâs no need to rush, weâll do it whenever youâre ready however long it takes.â
The two of you stood there in each otherâs embrace.
Until the sound of a toilet flushing interrupted the silence.
Both of you jumped apart and watched as one of the doors to one of the stalls opened and a man walked out, stiff, and avoiding eye contact with either of you.
Oh right, you were standing in the bathroom.
The silence was almost unbearable as the man quickly washed his hands, you and Enji standing sheepishly by the door.
When the man finished he nervously walked closer to you guys.
âU-Um excuse me.â
Both of you quickly stepped out of the way.
âSorry.â
The man quickly rushed out of the restroom.
You and Enji stood there in silence for a moment before you snorted.
He looked up in time to see you double over with laughter, he couldnât help the smile creeping onto his face and the chuckle he let out.
When you finished laughing and caught your breath you leaned against Enji using him as an armrest.
âWhew, that was great.â
You went back into silence for a moment before to took a deep breath.
You stepping towards Enji and wrapped your arms around his neck.
âWhat do you say we, uh, grab the check and you can walk me home hm?â
He placed his hands on your waist and nodded.
Smiling you gave him a quick peck to his cheek before pulling away.
âAlright, well I donât know about you but I would rather not spend the rest of my day off standing around in a public restroom.â
You opened the door.
âSee ya.â
You waved and stepped out.
Enji again watched you go but his time with a smile on his face.
Chuckling he followed suit.
âWait for me you brat!â
âHurry and keep up then old man!â
He no doubt wanted you to be the one to meet his family.
