you know, like hate but really hate, the kind of he couldn't look at you without feeling disgusted.
you were the sister of the suffering of toys, of painful experiments, you were the sister of the executioner, an accomplice of pain.
that's what he thought until you became a supervisor, you were endearing, kind to a certain extent and naive, but only a little.
you were the strangest and nicest supervisor he had ever had, you were pretty, quite cheerful to be in a dark place like that.
your kind nature allowed you to connect with toys, even the most hostile ones like catnap.
catnap had a strange attachment to you, he didn't show it and sometimes he seemed upset but the prototype knew how his tail moved when your steps came and how sad he was after you left.
so he decided to thank you, in his own way, with letters with a name: ollie.
he started calmly, although his handwriting was terrible, but he knew that you could recognize the written words.
he was very grateful for the sweets you left in the place, he wasn't capable of feeling hungry but a sweet dessert or two wasn't bad at all.
he enjoyed bothering you, taking advantage of the fact that you didn't know who he was, stealing things or documents from your desk, watching you at night, scaring you with strange sounds, imitating voices to confuse you.
they were little pranks for him, dedicated to the dear supervisor, he wasn't really trying to hurt you, it was just fun to see your face frustrated by not finding your pen or scared by the sounds.
he was always at a distance, but he was still there, monitoring you to know your habits, your friends, which toys you preferred to be with.
that was good, he seemed to enjoy seeing you as if you were something unattainable.
until it started not to be.
your smile dedicated to everyone except him began to be irritating, everything became annoying when you talked to the other toys, when you played with mommy, when you fed kissy, when you were with huggy, when dogday hugged you, when doey made you laugh even more than the prototype with his cards.
catnap noticed this, but he didn't move away from you, even if it was subtle, the prototype could notice it, even his greatest subordinate preferred to be with you.
everything was starting to get irritating.
he hated your look of compassion towards everyone except ollie, whom you had in the background, he hated that you still asked about dr. harley sawyer, the factory's executioner, worried about him, like the good sister that you were.
your love started to become irritating when it wasn't directed at him.
his pranks increased, only now they genuinely affected your work, before he stole unimportant documents, such as reminders, but now he directly stole your research that was directed to your brother.
before he bothered you with strange sounds, now he made you hallucinate from so many voices you heard, before he was kinder in his letters, now they were full of hatred and jealousy.
he didn't know what that feeling was, it's similar to what he felt with poppy, but it wasn't as strong as what he felt with you.
no, it was something else, worse than the pain of betrayal he felt for poppy, worse than the hatred he had for harley sawyer, it was stronger, more...
intense, heartbreaking and painful.
that was it, he couldn't name it.
you were the definition of it, your entire being, he couldn't say what it was, because it was so strong that if he gave it a name I limited it.
he didn't come to a conclusion quickly, in fact, he remained quite quiet, subdued, trying to figure out what was going through his damaged mind.
but there was no rush, it was fine, he had always been patient.
until he noticed that lately you were being watched, by something that wasn't him, it seemed to be a subordinate of harley, everyone called him a "player".
he was responsible for giving you some instructions, but he never really approached you, although the prototype could hear his voice informing your brother what you were doing.
he made sure they didn't discover much, he can't stand seeing others around you.
and that was noticeable in his letters, he no longer sent them as frequently but they had poison in them, loaded with jealousy and the need for you to recognize him.
he soon discovered something, his feelings, he studied himself, looking for the root of all the mess of emotions he had.
everything agreed with what all the lower humans said about their families, friends, partners, what they loved.
he still didn't know what kind of love he felt for you.
in fact, he believes that you are the concept of love, someone kind, sweet, who does things without any malice but is usually intelligent and cunning.
but he couldn't really define you, as he had thought before, because to define is to limit...
and love has no limits, right?
the prototype was busy discovering what player appeared on the scene again.
he wasn't important to you, a cold but kind coworker, like everyone else there, but by order of harley, who cared so much about you, he gave you a cup of coffee every day.
player left it on your desk with a "drink it" note, you thought it was cute that your brother did that, at that moment you thought he was really worried.
although you saw player becoming more and more anxious, because of his nerves, he always shuddered at the mere sight of a strand of yours in his vision.
player was pale most of the time, almost yellowish, you joked about it sometimes, not understanding why he looked so sick, until you got sick too.
the prototype hated player, he was suspicious of him, something was wrong with harley's supposed concern for you.
and well, it seems that when he was careless, harley exceeded his expectations.
you disappeared from his sight, as if you had not existed on his radar, to say that the prototype, ollie, was upset was an understatement.
harley literally disappeared from you, you were nowhere to be found, it seemed as if you had vanished.
he was going to lose his mind if he didn't see you, he would really go crazy.
and the other toys were not far from going seriously crazy.
huggy had attacked more employees, they had to put him to sleep with many chemicals so they could transport him, they locked him in his room until they could figure out what to do with him.
he was desperate to find you, you didn't know where you had gone, why had you abandoned him?
and kissy, well, they had to force her out of her room, she wasn't usually violent but she didn't let her, she fought to stay in her room and not go anywhere, she didn't eat either, she just lay on the floor and did nothing, she seemed to wither over time, she was like a dog waiting for its owner, but instead of an owner it was waiting for you.
mommy... it was a completely unsustainable case, she was quite aggressive, almost to the level of huggy, she couldn't sit still when the employees arrived, she always tried to hurt them and "play with them", trying to get you to come.
you liked mommy! it's not fair that you leave her like this! you know she's not going to wait long for you, so you have to come back quickly!
or she'll apply a little more force to her arms and overstretch those dirty scientists—
oh, and the smiling critters were more than anxious, a little more restless and above all worried.
you had not arrived at the usual time, neither today, nor yesterday, nor in the entire week, that week becoming a long, long time.
every day that passed they felt more overwhelmed, especially dogday.
what had happened to you? was there any reason you would have left? why did you stop visiting them? did they perhaps do something wrong—?
they couldn't disobey, but they seemed more distracted and scared without your presence. dogday tried to calm them down, with extreme positivism, but it didn't seem to work.
not even dogday itself could really calm down.
dogday missed the aroma of your clothes, your lap where he rested half the time, your face that appears blurry in his memories, your soft hair, your melodious voice and the meticulous steps when you arrived at his room.
he stared intently at everything you had ever given him, touching and sometimes hugging the objects, thinking about you.
the depressing atmosphere could be felt in the air, in the corner where the smiling critters, the smallest ones, sat sadly and in the center, where dogday, still devastated by your unexpected disappearance.
and still trying to keep the atmosphere calm and happy, they couldn't disobey even if you were gone, they had to be strong (and wait for you)...
everyone missed you, you were their angel.
they thought that you had really come to give them peace, after the rain comes the rainbow, they say.
they really thought it could be something like that, that they could allow themselves to dream of something, someone like you.
catnap would feel sorry for them, but with him being in the same situation, he couldn't allow it.
ypu didn't visit him anymore, nor did you visit other toys (that thought made him filled with happiness, but it wasn't the time), you simply got lost.
his first thought was that you got sick, or were with another toy even though that would make him upset, when you didn't visit his room.
at that moment he didn't think much of it, he felt a little anxious, but you would probably reward him, like you always did.
you would eventually arrive and bring him something of yours or with your scent (which only he could smell), or some food made by you, even toys —non-living, obviously— so that he could "amuse himself."
so that day he just slept all day, waiting for your arrival.
and so a day passed, then two, then three...
it had been two weeks since you arrived.
your existence had been erased, even when he asked (not at all aggressively) the other workers, no one knew where you really were.
catnap wanted to ask the prototype, but how could he dare to bother his god with these things...
he was internally glad that the prototype also cared about you, so it would be easier to find out your whereabouts without having to disobey his savior.
catnap paid more attention to everything, although he paid no attention and always seemed threatening to the scientists—
the prototype had said to look especially at him, there was something... strange in the way he acted.
his god didn't give him much information, but apparently player had made him angry and doubtful for some reason, so he was a suspect.
and the pale, almost yellowish complexion that he always had—ugh.
anyway, catnap was going to bring you back, wherever you snuck away from.
and then there's doey... doey, doey, doey... the big dough man.
since you left, there have been several, several, affected, especially scientists, making it almost impossible to handle doey in that state.
kevin was out of control, he hated you, he hated you, he HATED you—...
how COULD you do this to him? why did you leave? did you get tired of their denials? didn't you love him?
why did you leave now after fighting so much for him?
was anything you did real?
kevin could only feel anger seeping into his soft skin, taking more control of doey.
he vented to employees or scientists, fortunately, thanks to mattew, there were no deaths.
that they know, of course.
mattew was... disappointed, he had really thought you were going to stay longer, much longer.
if he had known that you were going to leave, he would have taken the opportunity to tell you more things, to record your laughter even more, to value the time you spent with him.
it's not that he didn't do it, but he really would have tried even harder.
he could do more and he hated that he had become so overconfident, he hated that he had let his guard down too much.
and jack... oh, jack, he was devastated.
he barely took control of doey, he cried and sobbed whenever he could, mumbling your name.
he was too sad, feeling too weak.
where had you gone? he missed you a lot, he couldn't remain stable without you.
the few times he took control of doey, all you could hear was his wailing and sobbing, trying to be comforted by mattew.
jack had grown fond of you, you were a good adult, kind, pretty, soft with him, you shared his hobbies and you gave him things, much more things for being the youngest.
it felt good to be cared for and hugged after a while, it felt good to be listened to and not to be hurt, it felt good to be able to be loved and love.
so why did you abandon him?
he doesn't know what he did wrong, what they did wrong, but he could reward you, as he always did, by being obedient, but he didn't have the strength to do so, he could only lament and ignore everything around him.
he clings tighter to mattew now, who was the more “laid back” of doey, hoping for some comfort similar to yours.
now he could only wait for you to come back, or for mattew or kevin to find you, even if they had to get out of here to do so.
“open your mouth, sister, you have to eat…” harley pushed some food into your mouth, careful not to damage your porcelain skin. "soon i will see a way to make it so that you cannot feel hunger or thirst, like another creation of mine."
it gave you chills as you stood motionless, chained to the wall, artificial hair over your eyes, or what are now your eyes.
"you will become something better, you will be more perfect than you are, sister... aren't you happy?" harley's smile made you tremble under his touch, feeling fear in your body.
you opened your mouth with vomit rising up your throat, to which your brother seemed satisfied, feeding you more quickly.
you didn't want to make him angry, now you were weaker than ever and you didn't want to expose yourself to getting hurt or him doing something to you.
your best option now was to obey him, even if it made you nauseous to look at his face or hear his voice.
harley gave you the slightest smile, waiting for you to finish chewing after each bite.
eating his food felt like chewing glass.
your brother patted your head as you finished the plate, satisfied that he had fed you himself.
"you need to be strong for the upcoming tests, and try not to attack the employees, otherwise you'll turn into one of those... monsters over there, you don't want that, do you?"
you nodded as you looked at the ground, you didn't want to see his face right now, you were going to throw up.
harley stopped her caressing and squeezed a handful of your locks, pulling up, taking you by surprise. "do you?"
you nodded faster, looking at his face, he was probably upset that you couldn't see his face, that's how proud he was.
harley smiled again and let you go abruptly, making you almost fall on your face, luckily you have reflexes and you didn't hurt anything.
your dear brother hummed a goodbye, standing up as he took slow steps, giving you one last look.
and so you are locked in this room again.
this is your routine, see harley most of the time, eat him food, drink the water he gave you and stay still.
at the beginning you tried to fight, you attacked a single employee, who apparently was new and harley got angry with you, leaving you on the ground, dying of hunger.
the employee was fired, obviously, but you were suffering for a long time.
harley's punishments were painful and manipulative, he forced you to follow and obey him.
you were trapped, just like the dolls, just like the toys...
is this how they felt? so alone and sick?
you laughed bitterly, you really thought that you could bring their some happiness, because deep inside you knew that it was not okay, that they were suffering, but you preferred harley, your dear and beloved brother over them, innocent and unstable.
you assume that you deserve it, you deserve to live, literally, in the shoes of the innocent lives that your brother, whom you protected and were an accomplice, tortured to the point of exhaustion.
and so your days go by, trying not to lose your mind, harley being aggressive and then kind, loving and then cold, and being injected with various unknown substances.
at every moment you suffered, but when he caressed your head or gave you a compliment, your heart jumped slightly with happiness, reminding you that perhaps, the harley you knew, your real brother, was still there, in some dark corner.
so that later harley himself destroyed that theory with his aggressive and cold attitudes.
you wish you didn't have expectations of him, didn't have hopes for him, maybe then you wouldn't be so disappointed.
ha, you really are doomed.
but... from one moment to the next, harley stopped appearing from your sight, the last time he did what he always did, you don't remember making him angry in any way, otherwise you would have punished yourself right there.
but no, it just disappeared, and with it your food and water.
you were starting to miss him as more and more days passed, locked up and hungry.
you hated missing him but he was your only source of life in this situation, your only company.
you no longer had the toys (experiments), nor your friends, much less a solid human body.
the only thing you had left was your brother, but even he was leaving you.
the hunger was killing you, the hunger for affection, for contact, for love... for food.
your throat hurt from dehydration, your stomach growled for something to eat.
you were starting to lose your mind.
until you stopped sleeping every now and then, you felt like you were really dying.
one day you just wake up to screams, high-pitched, painful screams— almost like... a human.
a human? here? in this hidden room?
you stayed still, you couldn't move not only because of the shock, but because of the chains on your legs, which prevented you from moving.
you heard more noises, bangs and you could only stay silent, internally praying that this was just another hallucination.
yes, it's another hallucination... it's not like you hear glass breaking behind you and heartbreaking screams for help, not at all.
everything will be and will be fine—
"help me!! i know there's someone there!! c-can you... listen to me?"
you don't listen to anyone
"they're ALL dying!! those—... those monsters!! they're eating them!"
you take a deep breath, to take a nap because of the calmness of this day..
"damn it! get out of there and help us! damn supervisor of—!!"
they are just voices in your head blaming you, because no one knows that you are... well, you were that.
harley had taken good care of hiding you from the world, so it was impossible for anyone other than the few employees who helped your dear brother to know beyond.
and those employees hadn't shown up in a long, long time...
although you didn't really remember them, you were drugged almost all the time and weakened by pills and injected chemicals.
you could only remember harley, only harley—
it made you sick but it was the only thing that kept you sane, until now.
you were almost going to fall asleep, looking at the ground, like another day waiting for your execution.
you jumped at the sound of something falling hard, seeing glass all over your room, you took a quick look at the door... it was smashed.
and in front of you, halfway, with guts and intestines loose, the thick blood staining the floor and the expression of horror on the face of—... a body, a human body.
you vomited right there, you struggled with your heads as you fought not to drown in your vomit, your body trembled in disgust, throwing your head down, avoiding seeing the thing next to you, closing your eyes tightly and forcing your poor throat to throw out what little it had left.
your body shook as you tried to catch your breath.
you shuddered at the thought, feeling electric shocks through your body, you took a deep breath and tried to move.
useless efforts because you kept yourself chained to this thing..
you looked in all directions, looking for something that could help you, you had to get out of here— something was outside, something was about to attack.
you couldn't find anything, but you couldn't help but think about the corpse next to you... maybe he...
you choked out a cry of despair as you moved your head towards your body with obligation.
your porcelain hand, somewhat dusty and cracked, slid gently, trying to reach the shoulder, without looking at the employee's face.
you held your breath until you managed to drag the body closer to you, while your legs trembled you could only look for one thing.
you needed a hairpin or anything to help you take off these chains.
you're sure this random guy wouldn't have the keys but...
you could try it, couldn't you?
your desperation grew stronger when you saw that this man didn't have nothing more important.
you searched through the mud for what was left of the body, you felt like you were going to vomit on it but you endured your nausea and did the job.
but nothing, there was nothing.
nothing, not even something you could feed yourself with, absolutely nothing.
you started to laugh, it felt almost bitter, you clutched the vest around your body, staggering slightly.
every laugh that came out of your system seemed to mock you, everyone was against you, against your freedom.
you thought you could change something, make everyone live happily for a while longer, you wanted to feel loved—…
but this seems like a cruel joke.
lou let out a heartbreaking scream as you hit the corpse, but you didn't care to see how your delicate hands began to get dirty with blood and have small cracks.
you took his face and disfigured it with blows, scratches, whatever, exchanging between laughter and screams.
heh, you're crazy, you've really lost your mind this time.
you looked at your hands with thick, warm blood, smiling slightly as clarity came to your head.
it felt good to vent, but this poor man who had begged you for help... ha, that hurts.
you leaned against the wall, the door to your room was broken, you could see how there was more blood in the hallways but no one had arrived yet.
ylu suspect what is happening but you don't think about it much.
it's not your problem right now.
with a sigh you curled up into a ball and cried silently, you had already exhausted all your energy when you screamed, now you only had tears left to shed.
how did you end up like this?
you couldn't be this thing any longer.
you stopped smiling and looked at the ceiling, feeling light, inhaling heavily.
you are very sleepy, very sleepy—
your eyes begin to see red as you feel light, letting your shoulders relax.
you hear footsteps but you are too asleep to pay attention, red fills the room while you now feel that your feet are loose.
a voice—... familiar, you hear it, you know who it is, but you let yourself go, you can't fight anyway.
you close your eyes, leaving your body at the mercy of the thing that is helping you.
you feel warm, you want to sleep forever—...
"i told you that the prototype would save us, dear supervisor."
