For the future.

I was scared to see this movie. I didn’t enjoy Season 3, the High Speed! movie was a monumental disappointment, and I hadn’t been active in the fandom for a long while. Maybe I was over it. Maybe there was no getting back that heart-pounding excitement and adrenaline rush of watching these episodes week after week with a server full of equally excited friends.

But I knew I wouldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t see this. If I didn’t at least close this chapter of my life. I needed to see how they wrapped everything up. Even though I knew it was going to be a train wreck, it was a train wreck I needed to see.

So I bought my ticket, double-masked, and waited for the lights to go down.

When they came back up, after it was said and done….I wanted to cry. I wanted to cry real big fat tears of happiness because this was what i had been waiting for and missing. This. THIS WAS SO GOOD. This was SO FULFILLING. And even though it ends on a spectacular emotionally gut-wrenching cliffhanger, I WAS GLAD FOR IT.
