It's so painful in watching Felix obviously pull out phrases that he knows Locus is weak to, how he gets less and less subtle every time. He can see Locus wavering, but a mention of "the mission" or "our orders" is enough to get his partner back on his side (for a little while, at least). In the end, his downfall was his burning desire for revenge against the Reds and Blues. Locus already had doubts about Felix because of everything that went down with the temple, and suddenly Felix is openly admitting that he doesn't even give a fuck about their mission anymore. When Locus turns on him, Felix tries to bring up their orders again, but it's too late. Locus has already realized that Felix's motivations no longer apply to him, that their partnership is built on manipulation. If Felix had just done the logical thing and cut and run, he and Locus could have gone on to commit war crimes another day. The Reds and Blues were gonna take out Hargrove, they didn't need to worry about his men tracking them down to tie up loose ends. But no, Felix let his hatred of Tucker overpower his fear of Locus, and it got him killed.
