Actually, don't get your child into reading. One day, that child will have to move across the country, or state, or 30 minutes down the road, and they will have to laboriously haul their collection of literature small box load by small box load.

I'm pet-sitting in a wealthy, gated community with nothing but multi-million dollar homes. And these people have chosen to have their "backyard" be a GOLF COURSE. There literally isn't even a "yard" it's a screened in porch that's maybe 100 feet from the nearest hole. Men in cargo shorts are walking past your windows every 5 minutes because they can't hit a ball to save their life and you've CHOSEN THIS FOR YOURSELF???
