-can you give more details on albus’ role on being voldemorts wand breaker and how that fell onto him?

- How did Albus and Scorpius come up with the idea of running away? Who purposed it and was one reluctant?or both?

- How did Delphi react/feel to them running away? Especially towards Albus?

- Do Delphi and Voldemort have a strained relationship? Who is Delphi closest to, her mother or father?

- Did Ginny only live long enough to give birth to Albus? Or was there a period of time where she was raising him in hiding before Delphi took him and raised him herself?

- If so, why did they decide to spare Albus? and how old was he?

- why does the order not trust Albus? Did he give them any reasons that stuck out as strange/not good “vibes” or is it just based off his proximity/potential loyalty to the augurey?

- on the note of scorbus not being healthy in this, does Scorpius feel like Albus can’t make decisions for himself? And that he knows what’s best for him? (I think i remember you posting something like this but i can’t remember too well)

OK firstly I'm SOOO GLAD you like this au so much because it's literally my baby so having an excuse to yap is great and I'd ADORE fanart especially if it's genderbent because I prefer my Scorbus wlw ❤️

OKAY ANSWERING TIME I go into detail with alot of these because again... I'm obsessed with my sillys

- So the wand breaker was an idea that came to me when I first ever thought of this au and it kind of just stuck through it all. In canon, it fell to Albus because Voldemort wanted a way to check on him and to see if there's any hesitance around the idea of "harming" someone in a way (I imagine wands as something so connected to their wielder that breaking it is the same as crippling them). Also, Albus isn't allowed to use magic, so it's another kind of way to torment him. My best summary of the role is that when "court" is being held Albus would stand off to the side and if they decide the crime justifies it, he'd snap the respective wand infront of the criminal. (Wand snapping is allowed for crimes such as: Being a Blood Traitor, being a Muggle Sympathiser, and most crimes committed by Halfbloods) The punishment is usually never death, because likely they will get killed when they leave anyway.

- Albus and Scorpius talk about leaving for majority of their relationship (so the ages 16 to 18). Mostly it was Scorpius fighting against it that stopped them from running away earlier than 18, but Albus was also very reluctant on it. Scorpius would have been able to leave with ease, he'd just have to say he wanted to explore the wizarding world and that he'd eventually come back to take over as Lord Malfoy (a lie obviously). Albus was the one they'd struggle with. At the point of them leaving, he had free reign from whatever time Delphi got up to whatever time she went to bed. However there was still alot of eyes on him and he had more duties than Scorpius. I haven't fully decided how they escaped yet, but I'm almost certain they eventually settle in Australia and live as muggles until their eventual return to help the order.

- Delphi feels towards Albus a type of possesive anger alongside an actual twisted form of love. As she got older she began to hate what Albus represents and how he was a reminder of the fact she was inherently weak (because she can feel pity or compassion towards him at times). When Albus runs away, she bears the grunt of the punishment from her father. She doesn't get much time to process it before that point. This leads to Delphi having a strong, burning resentment towards Albus (and Scorpius), but she's also left a little heartbroken. Imagine having a calm dog and thinking how lucky you are he never causes any issues and always does everything he's asked, then you leave the door open for a second and he runs away. She thinks Albus is ungrateful and also she hates that she could've been caught so off guard. Unfortunately for everyone but Scorbus, Delphi becomes 10x crueler in every possible way. Poor house elfs.

- Delphis one weakness is her ability to feel love. It isn't something you want to have when you're in her position. I imagine when she was born, Voldemort had little to do with her. Mostly she spent time with Bellatrix, or whoever was nursing her. Delphi idolises both of her parents but she prefers Voldemort. Maybe it's because he was neglectful until she got old enough he could teach her things. Maybe it's because he never shows her parental affection unless it's as a reward. I'd say she's closer to Bellatrix because they've spent more time together, but her relationship is strained with both of them. I similarly think Bellatrix eventually has a sort of jealousy surrounding Delphi because Voldemort pays their daughter more attention. Nobody is happy here. (Bellatrix and Voldemort aren't in a relationship in this au, I think Bellatrix was used as a womb and she jumped at the idea of it, but when the baby came Voldemort had little care for her besides allowing her to live in his Manor.)

- This is a great question that I have hardly spoken about even though its important to understanding Albus's character. Ginny had given birth to all of her children years before they were caught by Voldemort. All three were mistakes, but they were well loved even by the remaining order.

- Albus's "adoption" went as such: When they were found, Harry and Ginny sent all 3 of their children upstairs to hide. They'd fought Death Eaters before, they didn't think they'd lose this battle nor did they know Voldemort was present. Obviously they are killed, and James automatic reaction is to run and "save" them. Lily decides this is a wonderful idea and joins her brother. Albus... hides. He goes into his parents room and hides in a worn down cupboard. He covers his ears with his hands and thankfully doesn't hear the sound of his siblings getting murdered downstairs (they didn't use the killing spell, ofcourse). When he's found by Delphi, she is hit with an overwhelming feeling of pity, alongside her actual excitement over getting to watch her dad work. This is why she asks to keep him, and Voldemort agrees because he sees an opportunity to torture the remaining order. Delphi was 14, Albus was 7.

- The order don't trust Albus because they are aware of how manipulative Voldemort is. Sure they knew Albus since he was a baby, but Snape also knows what activities Albus does for the Augurey/Lord Voldemort, such as passing information, wand breaking, note taking, etc. Ron and Hermione are paranoid, it's easy for them to jump to the conclusion that perhaps he's joined the other side. They've watched it happen to their classmates who helped them during the war, and every other good soul who wasn't killed during the war, so of course they get worried around Albus. Especially since he's so close to Scorpius, they're just incredibly cautious. So let's say their first correspondence was when he was 12, They only began fully trusting him when he was 16, and he only ever attended one meeting at 18 before he ran away.

- Yes, a big issue with Scorbus in this au is that Scorpius never quite gets over his prejudices and he views Albus as lesser than him, and that he's stupid so he needs Scorpius's guidance. Alot of their friendship was Scorpius trying to teach Albus pureblood customs even though Albus already knew them, and then trying to teach him magic even though he didnt have a wand. They both do truly love eachother which is why they ran away in the first place, but Scorpius is cruel even when he doesn't mean to be. It takes several years of them living together before Albus even has the courage to bring this up to him, and more time after that before they get as close to their canon relationship as possible. Realistically, Albus should've left him the moment his use for getting him out of Britain was done, but we all know Albus is codependent and in this au atleast incredibly desperate.

- OK So firstly, Snape starts their correspondence by having his most trusted pupil pass an anonymous letter to Albus while he's on his way to talk to Headmistress Umbridge. The letter just tells Albus that he knew his father, asked if he wanted to know more, and they kept this exchange of letters up until Albus eventually mentions something that signals Snape to mention The Order. From then on they exchange letters a little differently, by placing them in discussed areas around Hogwarts for the other to find. Albus doesn't know who he's talking to at first but he figures it out on his own and keeps the information to himself until Snape reveals it in person when hes 16. Anyway for the actual question, they talk about a range of things. Every letter from Snape has a certain format: He says hello and asks how Albus is, he discusses false information surrounding the Order, he let's Hermione/Ron write something, then he says goodbye. The letters really dont do much. It's mostly the order trying to get information from Albus while also figuring out if he's trustworthy or not. And they worry, so they like reading about how he is and writing notes for him to know more about Harry.

I haven't talked about the Dark World au in a hot minute and while going through some of my posts I've noticed alot of inconsistencies in the story that I'm gonna clear up in this post alongside yk.. some fun stuff!!! Scorbus, Delphi, the Order, more about Halfblood pets., Etc!!!!!!!!!

CC DARK WORLD AU INFODUMP

- Albus was raised by Delphi, and has very little contact with the big man himself outside of seeing him in the Manor and being at meetings. Additionally, Albus is Voldemorts Wand breaker.

- Delphi doesn't like letting him out of his room unless she wants him to run a task, or she's in a good enough mood she lets him free roam. When Albus gets older, she begins to let him out the room at all times so long as he is back before she is in bed.

- Delphi likes to set up playdates with Albus and her cousin Scorpius. She does it to both be condescending towards Scorpius who she sees as weak and soft despite being infamously cruel, and also because it helps her pet learn pureblood etiquette since she is too lazy to train him now that she's actually working under Voldemort

- They're kinda of like a kid and the dog they got for Christmas that they stop caring about eventually but will throw a tantrum if you try get rid of it.

- Severus has never spoken to Albus face to face, despite seeing him in person several times. They have only communicated through letters that are passed to eachother in the most discreet way they can. This is to avoid being intercepted, since Voldemort has a close eye on Albus' owl.

- The Order don't fully trust Albus but they try to hide it since he is Harrys son. Hermione is the first to mention how she's worried about when he eventually manages to come to a meeting, and that they should find a way to feed him false information atleast for the first few times just to make sure he isn't passing it on to Delphi.

- Adults refer to him as Albus, but Delphi and the Hogwarts students all refer to him as Munin. He doesn't like either name .

- Scorpius is not a good person, but he isn't inherently evil. He believes in what he has been raised to believe in, but his Mother's gentle touch while he was younger stopped him from falling so deep that he'd be irrational.

- Scorpius and Albus run away together at 18, and they constantly jump from place to place because there's always someone on their tail. They eventually return to Scotland when they are older to help The Order, but are in hiding with Ron and Hermione.

- Scorpius secretly loves muggle things, but he is so deeply ashamed of it even after years of being 'reformed' that he never indulges.

- Scorbus is not a healthy relationship, and is built strongly on ignoring what they don't want to talk about. For example, Albus never mentions that Scorpius has tortured Muggleborns, and Scorpius doesn't use Mudblood infront of him (well on purpose, sometimes it slips out. Albus wouldnt mention it anyway.).

- Delphi is evil, but not too far gone. Her ability to love and feel empathy hinders her from fulfilling the expectations she thinks Voldemort has for her. This doesn't mean she is redeemed, but I wanted to mention it so her situation with Albus makes more sense.

- Having Halfbloods as pets is the norm for richer pureblood families. Some find them dirty, but they are a symbol of money and power and having one makes you respectable. Typically, they should be in similar rags to a house elf, but with a richer fabric that has the family crest stitched onto it. It isn't common, but you can also find some that are wearing so much jewelery around their neck that they slouch. This is another way to flaunt your wealth.

- Never have two Halfbloods. It's uncouth and grounds for breeding

- Albus is odd for a Pet, because he's always dressed in beautiful feathery robes and he's well washed and has no bruises on him. Unlike most Halfbloods who are locked in a room until its time to show them off, Albus runs Delphis errands for her and has a way to his walk that makes you think he's important. His speech is clear and he has the accent you'd hear from other purebloods. If he wasn't so clearly branded in Augurey fashion, nobody would assume he was Harry Potters son

- On that note, people are aware he is a Potter, but nobody is allowed to mention it.

- Halfblood pets can be bought, but sometimes they are caught and "trained" by the family themselves. Rare, because mostly they get put down.

- Really quick. Not all Halfbloods are pets, however they have alot more laws put on them and breaking any of those laws no matter how small can have you sent to be trained and then sold.

- The Malfoys don't have a pet, which has brought backlash, but Draco is firm on his decision of it being "too dirty" (he thinks it's a horrible practice)

- Draco eventually joins The Order. This is in the gap where Scorbus have ran away, and he is so concerned for his son and the witch hunt they are setting on him that he goes to Snape and begs for help, and voila.

- Hermione and Ron are strongly against this decision, and that opinion never goes away even when he proves himself. At most, it sithers into them begrudgingly dealing with his presence.

- I'm still unsure of the ending to this au, but right now it's turning out to be hopeful.
