Rain || Frederick and Cordelia
Clouds rolled across the sky, closer to where Cordelia and Frederick stood. The pegasus settled down a little bit after Frederick soothed her, but Cordelia didn’t think the calm would last long. Thunder began to rumble and the two friends continued on.
Then Cordelia realized that Frederick had addressed her.
"Er… I’ve just been busy around camp is all."
Frederick nodded knowingly. He expected no less from Cordelia, as the two of them were always known to keep busy. Whether it be chores around camp or keeping look out, they were both reliable members of the army.
Frederick opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off as he flinched at the sudden feeling of a cool rain droplet landing upon his face not far from his eye. He raised a hand to wipe his face, letting out a chuckle at his partially embarrassing reaction.
"Well... It seems the rain is arriving even quicker than I could have suspected." He turned, his horse following his head.
"Why don't we bring our horses under some shelter? Then we can head to the mess tent to continue our conversation. I'm certain our meal will have finished being prepared in that time."
