Here’s my piece for my Alcoholphabet zine, and illustrated celebration of Alcohol (coming soon)! Irish coffee became popular in the 1940′s when it was used to warm up travelers crossing the Atlantic in flying boats, and regular coffee just wouldn’t quite do it.

My piece for the Falmouth University 'Wunderkammer' book Dogū are Japanese clay figurines, all between 2,300 and 10,000 years old, and most are found deliberately broken. Nobody knows why they were made, but theories include: depictions of a fertility goddess; an effigy to cute illness; a commemoration of a visit from aliens; or simply toys.

2016 is the Year of the Monkey, and since I’m one of those I wanted to make something to celebrate!

Over the summer I got into making these little plant pots. Then in December they got featured in Miel Magazine! More to come.
