Stay Alive

So I just went on a two week long road trip to see my favorite band twenty one pilots live 6 times. I got home about a week ago and I miss them so much. Anyways I always knew I was gonna get a tøp tattoo eventually but I've really been in my feelings since the trip and I was just like alright today's the day. These boys have changed my life and I just need to express that. It didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted. I've had a lot of ideas but I wanted something that means something special to me and something a lot of other people wouldn't understand and something I feel is underrated. So I decided on the line "I don't know if I am dying or living" and I got it in the same font that Fall Away is written in on the back of self titled. These lyrics have always resided with me ever since I heard them. I think about them every single day and I'm not exaggerating at all. To me this line represents all of the questions about life I have. Like what am I doing, why am I here, etc. It's one of those things that really makes you think about your purpose. We're all simultaneously dying and living but the choice to "die or live" within that is ultimately up to me. I get to decide whether I want to live my life or just let it pass me by. My tattoo is a constant reminder of that choice. It also reminds me that it's okay that I don't know, it's reassurance to me that it's okay for me to be confused about my life and my purpose because I know Tyler and Josh and probably so many other people feel the exact same way. Also when they used to play Fall Away live josh wore super short shorts so that's also a HUGE factor 😂 no but seriously these boys mean so much to me I can't even put it into words. I feel like it's only fair to make them my first tattoo in return for how happy they make me. To the boys if you read this. Thank you so much for everything you've done for me. I know you hear this a lot but you have honestly changed my life. I really have no idea where I'd be if your music wasn't in my life. So thank you thank you thank you. It's so weird that I have a tattoo now. I always thought I'd get a tattoo and have second thoughts or some sort of regret but I genuinely feel 100% content with my decision. It's like all of your words and lyrics are already inside me now there's just some outside of me too 😁 anyways I hope you guys know how grateful I am for you. Please never change.
