I was thinking of Flippy x Flaky and I thought of swapping their lore in which Flaky is the one that kills people while Flippy doesn't

The lore for Flaky would be that she would have DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) in which her other personality is a serial killer on the loose. Flaky's name definition is "someone who is unreliable, undependable, or inconsistent. They frequently cancel plans at the last minute, forget commitments, or fail to follow through on their promises, which often leaves others feeling disappointed or frustrated" So I tried to find a word that's the opposite of the definition and I found one that makes sense.

The name is Hardy, and it means "someone or something that is robust, resilient, and capable of enduring difficult conditions, fatigue, or harsh environments"

Because in Flaky's lore is that she had abusive parents, however one night, she had enough and killed her parents as a teenager, which gave birth to Hardy. Because Flaky was considered mentally insane, she was taken to a mental asylum where the abuse and torture would continue. Hardy would take over when Flaky was very overwhelmed in dealing with reality and wanted to disappear. Hardy is the reason why Flaky would never get her freedom and often hates her other personality. Hardy resents Flaky for being so weak and often demands the anxious porcupine to be grateful towards her. Hardy believes she's the reason why Flaky has come so far because Hardy always deals with the difficult stuff while Flaky runs away.

One day, Hardy took over and after years of planning, she killed the guards and managed to successfully run away from the mental asylum. Flaky moves in and lives in the Happy Tree Friends town. Flaky is still dealing with major anxiety and paranoia since everyone dies here. Flaky does die and so does Hardy BUT unlike Flaky, Hardy adapt. Everytime she dies, she learns not to repeat the mistakes. As time goes one, Hardy doesn't get killed so easily as before.

Hardy is a silent killer, she almost doesn't even react, she just has this creepy emotionless face. Basically she's Michael Myers if you think about it. She has fully dilated pupils, it looks like as if she's a terrifying demon. Hardy kills because she's nihilistic, she sees everything meaningless and feels killing isn't immoral, she sees killing as dominance over others, where she can do whatever she wants to do without someone restricting her. She kills because is what makes her alive.

Flaky's and Flippy would be the same dynamic except Flaky desperately distances herself from Flippy because she's terrified of him finding out who she really is and might turn her in. Flippy is really into Flaky but gets heartbroken when the porcupine wants nothing to do with him. Since this a swap au, Fliqpy doesn't exist because Flippy didn't develop major PTSD.

Flaky does act a bit more aggressive compared to her Canon counterpart, while feeling anxious, she still manages to get angry however it's very awkward or uncomfortable to see it. Like if Nutty does something stupid, Flaky would stutter and whimper but you can hear the anger and spite in her tone. She sometimes acts aggressive towards Flippy, so he can forget about her but the soldier beat is determined to win her heart.

There's a theory that Flaky is well aware of the deaths after "Without a Hitch" and perhaps in this one, Flippy is well aware HOWEVER he doesn't who's the serial killer. When Hardy comes out, she doesn't show her identity, she hides in case to avoid authorities. So Hardy has killed Flippy a couple of times but she doesn't show herself to the bear. So Flippy is unaware of Flaky's second transformation but knows there's a serial killer on the loose. Flaky greatly desires to accept Flippy's romantic intentions but she's very pessimistic and believes she will ruined the relationship.

Now when it comes to Hardy x Flippy, it's similar to Flaky x Fliqpy, the aggressive personality hates the other. Hardy detests Flippy, she feels he gets in the way and needs to be get rid of. Flaky has tried to convince Hardy that Flippy means no harm but she doesn't care, Flippy can be a potential threat. If Flippy ever encounters Hardy, at first, Flippy wouldn't like her, probably think she's a monster but later times passes and then gets sympathetic towards her.

The fact she was born because Flaky's brain needed a coping mechanism is really tragic. Flippy would try to emotionally connect with her but Hardy would be stubborn. Hardy doesn't believe anyone can love her and she sees the concept of love as something meaningless. But perhaps there was one moment where Flippy showed absolute care and love and it made her feel different for once in her lifetime.

Now if this wasn't a swap au where Fliqpy does exist, it would be major chaos, now we have two murderers on the loose. When Fliqpy was trying to kill someone, he clashes with another murderer. This murderer's face was covered up, and immediately leaves the scene making the war soldier to go after them but alas the other murderer was smarter and uses whatever means to slowed him down which often leads Fliqpy to die. Suddenly Fliqpy feels the other murderer is his rival and his goal is to kill them and unmask them. He becomes so obsessed with the other murderer he often ignores others and tries to find the mysterious murderer. Fliqpy is sort of fonded with his rival, the idea that someone can put up a challenge against him relieves his boredom.

Hardy on the other hand, absolutely hates Fliqpy, everytime she's about to kill someone, he's there to interrupt and now she is forced to run away. Hardy knows that Fliqpy can overpower her due to his military experience but she's confident enough to defeat him. She has killed Fliqpy by using the death curse, so she never had to combat the soldier. So because of Fliqpy, Hardy wastes no time in killing Flippy, she doesn't need the soldier bear to go rogue while she's hunting.

Finally, Fliqpy takes Hardy off guard one day and she dies, Fliqpy unmasks her and is flabbergasted that the murderer he was after was the pathetic wimp porcupine who couldn't even hurt a fly. Fliqpy doesn't know how to process. However after this, Fliqpy would be obsessed with Flaky, he demands answers but Flaky would stay quiet and tried to play it off. Fliqpy tried to force Flaky to act like murderer which she fails and ends up crying. Fliqpy is greatly frustrated but got close to Flaky because he for once doesn't feel alone. Flaky would also start to see Fliqpy in a different light and slowly becomes less scared of him. Flaky is still unsure to tell Fliqpy the truth.

Unfortunately Fliqpy finds our the hard way as he's about to open up his vulnerability to Flaky, he gets stabbed and realized the porcupine in front of him wasn't the sweet and timid person he knows but a demon. Hardy takes her time in torturing Fliqpy and makes sure she doesn't hurt him enough so he can be alive longer. Hardy would grin sadistically which is a very rare thing to do but something you should be horrified, her showing emotions is a major bad sign. Hardy explains that Flaky wasn't the murderer, she was and was waiting for Fliqpy to let his guard down. She wanted revenge since her ego hurt immensely when Fliqpy took her down. She's practically mocking him for choosing to be weak towards the enemy. For the first in years, Fliqpy wanted to cry.

After this traumatic encounter, Fliqpy would have mixed feelings towards Flaky. Although Flaky was innocent, he can’t help but to resent her because of Hardy. Hardy not only physically torture him but psychologically too, tearing the soldiers piece by piece. Fliqpy would stop killing Flaky but he wants nothing to do with Flaky, making the Porcupine be more depressed. Now if Fliqpy ever had to encounter Hardy again, it would be because he's ready to face her. The two face in a combat leading the two be missing limbs a open wounds.

Surprisingly, Fliqpy is the one trying to do the connection, Hardy deeply hates it. She finds it disgusting and would rather die now. But Fliqpy doesn't make it easy for her, their vulnerable encounter didn't have words but rather actions. Fliqpy would instead try to heal her wounds, Hardy was shocked, she expected he would make her pay from last time. The insane bear feels found the comfort feeling again in not being alone. Besides he knows affection hurts the cruel porcupine more than malicious actions.

Ignoring the grotesque details of the comic, the concept, the plot, and the characters would have been great had the author didn't have a MAJOR hate boner to superheros.

I mean think about it, in a capitalist society, it makes sense powerful business companies would think to make superheros as their famous products, ignoring the consequences. It explores the dark side of celebrities, it reminds the reader why Uncle Ben from Spiderman's states, "With great power comes with great responsibility" and The Boys comic shows what happens when it doesn't follow Uncle Ben's advice

The Boys comic would have a very dark and yet powerful message of society yet the author instead throw it away just to satisfy his ego in proving that Superheroes like Marvel or DC suck and are "unrealistic"

That's what ruined the comic for me, he didn’t go beyond the message and the philosophy, and just focus in giving an edgy nihilistic view of superheroes

So basically, the problem is that it's not edgy because it has grotesque themes, no, it's edgy because it's a fantasy of him beating up the mainstream view of superheros

Basically the sigma Punisher fans that state superheros like Superman or Captain America don't know how the real world works and someone has to do the dirty job hur hur

Berserk is a media that does have grotesque themes and yet it has a meaningful message that leaves the audience feel very emotional and touched but The Boys comic doesn't have that because the authors intentions were instead to make the reader agree with his view on superheros, making the reader feel disgusted and traumatized, this is why many hate the comic because his intentions were so shallow

It's like if Kirkman made Invisible soley because he hates the depiction of super powerful aliens like Goku from Dragon Ball or Superman from DC and created the Viltrumites as the "realistic" super powerful aliens.

Not to mention the execution of the story. The plot twist could have been good but it wasn't saved. Butcher is obviously the author's projections especially how OP butcher is when fighting superheros that's it's lowkey corny. I can comprehend where the author was trying to do with Butcher but he does it so bad. Butcher's writing reminds me of how Viziepop writes Stolas from Hellavuv boss, and no, I'm not saying that just to hate but because both writers tried to make their favorite oc be "THE" character of the series.

If you asked me to give you an example of a complete bastard but with complex feelings, it would Walter White. When it comes to dark characters that only wanted for the best yet turns out they actually thrive in the violence, it would be Breaking Bad. Not The Boys comic.

You see, in Breaking Bad, it shows you how Walter broke Jessie, making you realize that Walter is a horrible person. While in The Boys comic, after Butcher dies, it doesn't show the damage that Butcher did to Hughie (Yes, Hughie had a happy ending but still he should have been traumatized after seeing his own friends be killed by someone they trusted). I BELIEVE (again I'm not right or wrong) that The Boys comic tried to sympathize with Butcher because all of this happened due to Rebecca's death BUT Walter White isn't given sympathy but rather the series told the audience he deserves to pay for his actions. Like I said, Butcher's writing reminds me of Stolas cause Stolas does A LOT of wrong things too but Viziepop wants us to be reminded that he's a complex character with a sad backstory.

Griffith is someone like Butcher except his betrayal to the Band of the Falcon made sense whereas Butcher killing his own team didn't. Comparing Butcher to Griffith makes me realize, if you're going to write a complex bad person character, make sure the execution is right

Bojack Horsemen is the worst person ever and the execution of his character is very well done while Butcher doesn't, it feel like lazy writing

The point of this post was that I am kind of tired of people thinking that "The Boys Comic is bad" is a gospel made by PointlessHub but I disagree cause there's so much flaws in The Boys Comic

I recently made a quote but I'll say this again, just cause you didn't like a genuine well-written piece of media, it doesn't mean it's bad. And just cause you like a badly written piece of media, it doesn't mean it's good either

I have watched Terrifier and I fucking love the series but I can even admit it's really mid, the story is just whatever. I love Demon Slayer and I can see the series is mid also and the characters do need more polishing. I love tmnt 2012 but even I can even admit the fuck ass romance in that series was horrible.

So yeah, The Boys comic could have been a peak series if the author didn't make the comic to justify his edgy outlook to superheros
