(There’s a reason why I headcanon this, unlike Frieza who's main goal is to have a iron fist to his empire, I feel like Cell doesn't have life purpose for himself and often has existential crisis. Meeting Frieza is what fills the void within him. Also dating Frieza has made him anxiously attached especially now that he feels behind since everyone has improved. Frieza, of course is the avoidant type. Frieza when it comes to romantic relationships, he is still very unfamiliar and ignorant about it. Frieza is the type of partner to reject feelings and emotions but Cell doesn't reject them, instead feels very confused when interacting with them. Love is a very big emotion and something towards Cell and sometimes he doesn't know how to control it while Frieza is just used to repressed his feelings and emotions and still feels very uncomfortable in feeling love towards Cell, so he tries to keep it hidden. Either way, both are struggling to be vulnerable)
