I have said it before and I will say it again: I LOVE the Hollow Cousins/ Brothers bond. Deacon being so protective of Chase when learning the truth, but also being supportive of Chaseās decision to understand and trust Nox is just so touching.
Deaconās growth in being more confident and vocal has been great this season and I personally love how most of his change has come from his bond with Chase. Chase pushing him to talk to his parents, being supportive about his writing career and Deaconās more heroic actions all being to protect his baby brother.
I have a feeling we will see more of Deaconās heroic nature come into play when Ex Libris inevitably targets Chase.

Ryker doesn't think he's seen Viggo look more angry at someone in his entire life, other than right now with the way his brother is looking at Stoick The Vast. Ryker has never seen him lose his composure this badly in front of anyone, Viggo is physically holding himself back from killing the other Chief.
Just walking in on whatever was currently going on, Ryker surveyed the scene in front of him to see if he could figure out what exactly had made his brother down right pissed. Viggo and Stoick where having a stare down both had their hands on their weapons as more of a warning. Though by the looks of things he wouldn't be surprised if things got violent, the thought shocked Ryker because Viggo preferred his words to his weapons. Hiccup was sitting on, surprisingly, Viggo's side of the table that was in-between the two chiefs, both of their chairs had been knocked to the ground. He had a look of pure shock mixed with relief maybe, Ryker wasn't sure, on his face as he stared down at the table. And that's when he saw it, sitting innocently in the middle of the table was a necklace, the chain looked new, obviously replaced, but the pendant was well worn. Ryker couldn't stop his eyes widening as he noticed that it was their tribe's symbol engraved onto the metal. It was a birth necklace, he realised with a growing horror as everything slowly clicked into place. It was tradition that every newborn got a necklace with their tribe's symbol, a way of protection, to help the child remember who home was.
If there was one thing Ryker knew about his little brother, it was that ever since he could remember he had always wanted to be a father. Viggo had no care or desire to be a husband but a father he was desperate to be. So he had gone and made it happen. The poor lass died in childbirth, the babe coming into the world too early, but managing to survive. Ryker remembers rushing into the room, instantly stilling as he saw Viggo with the newborn tucked close to his bare chest, gently rocking them. Skin to skin for at least the first hour of the child's life, was an incredibly important tradition within their tribe, said to establish an everlasting bond. Ryker doesn't think he'd ever seen Viggo so at peace, so content, so happy, then in that moment. He remembers figuratively fighting tooth and nail to get to hold his nephew after the hour was up. Ryker didn't think it was possible to produce a babe that small or with any greener eyes, but his nephew proved him wrong.
Ryker remembers watching Viggo place the birth necklace around his nephew and declaring his name as Hiccup. A strong name among their people, meaning resilience, stubbornness and a long journey ahead. Hiccup Grimborn, a future Chief in the making. Ryker also remembers their grandfather believing that Viggo wasn't ready, that he shouldn't have a child in his life.
Hiccup went missing not even 24 hours later.
It was the only time Ryker had seen such darkness within his little brother, as their grandfather openly admitted to selling the child off to another tribe. That it was a deal made months in advance. Viggo spent the next 3 years clouded in darkness as he overthrew their grandfather and ruthlessly ran their empire, they had never been more profitable than in those first few years of Viggo's reign as he reestablished the strength, reach and dominance of the dragon hunters as they searched. For the child Viggo silently never stopped looking for, and the child Ryker subconsciously never stopped looking for.
It seemed so glaringly obvious now, looking at this boy, because that's really all he is, with bright green eyes, the same name and intelligence to rival his father. And now a birth necklace to boot.

Ok so I reread the first Chapter of my fic Hollow Pages and Prints and noticed a bunch of errors and corrections that were needed- so Iāve edited the chapter and it should be better to read now.

My Bookstore Cinderella Boy Au, has finally got its first chapter published.
Itās a fluffy rekindling love story- featuring both love lives of the stressed out Hollow cousins trying to make this shop a success.
Featuring Stargoth, FreckledCoffee (Deacon/Cene) and the fun shenanigans of Stripes.
Synopsis:
Deacon and Chase have recently opened their bookstore āHollow Pages and Printsā. Business has so far been tricky, with the second floor still needing renovations and the major influx of customers who are curious to see what has become of the once deteriorated building, Chase and Deacon find themselves needing help.
Chase ends up hiring a college student named Stride, who recently moved in with his successful Investment Banker brother. However emotions begins to stir, when said brother turns out to be a very awkward and very old crush of Chaseās, one he hadnāt thought about in years, though whoās seemed to never have forgotten him. Added with the previous inheritor starting to visit the shop spontaneously, and the mystery of Chaseās rushed agreement into dropping his travels and coming back to help Deacon, collectively bringing more melodrama than either cousin needs- and happily enjoyed by Stride who is more than happy to watch chaos about to unfold.
(And for anyone wondering, yes I will be posting my CB fashion AU fic soon as well- the prologue is just taking longer than I thought).
