How the Sardinian People feel about Catalunya and the Algherese dialect in Alghero? And how they feel about Aragon?

Catalan colonization of Alghero in the XIV century left a huge mark and contributed in large part to create the identity and the charm of the city we know and love today. Catalan is widely used in Alghero and it’s officially considered as one of Sardinia’s minor languages: it was (and is) used only within the city, while people living in the surroundings kept speaking Sardinian.
Aragonese domination also left a lot of influences which are now part of our identity: centuries of domination, plus centuries of commercial and cultural relationships before the domination, influenced our language (it’s very easy for a sardinian to learn Spanish), marked our land (tens of aragonese defense towers are still part of our coastal landscape) and our culture (for instance, religious rituals during the Holy Week show a lot of spanish influences, in some towns they even use that creepy KKK-like outfit XD).
I think sardinians visiting Spain today can still feel a strong connection. I definitely felt it, and I’ve been there A LOT (first as an erasmus student in Madrid, then several years living in Valencia).
