ah, yes. another day, another fanfiction where i attempt to do a little ~something~ spicy for the fans (also known as my 3 internet friends who insist that i'm somewhat good at this writing thing). anyway, here's another nsfw one-shot !!

me, writing about NED NICKERSON? in this economy? IN HIS POV? more likely than you think. anyway, i wrote this one-shot tonight and felt like i should share, since i'm trying to be better about writing fanfic. enjoy 2k words of ned in his feels <3

UNTIL I FIND YOU AGAIN –– a nancy drew/hardy boys crossover fanfiction introduction by @frankhardys​ 

Chief McGinnis was the first one to exit his vehicle and make his way through the Drew’s polished lawn to where Nancy was sitting. The other officers remained on the street, answering questions and keeping the crowd at bay. 

“Tell me what happened,” he said without greeting. 

Nancy met his slate gray eyes. “I don’t know,” she said, trying to swallow the lump in her throat, “but he’s gone.”

River Heights holds tight to its secrets. When Ned is kidnapped after a series of strange phone calls, Nancy is more than sure that her luck as an amateur detective has finally run out. With no choice left, she calls the one person that she know would drop everything to help –– the same person who’d nearly confessed his love for her several months prior. But when the death threats begin to surface and things take a turn for the worst, Nancy is forced to confront the feelings she’d long forgotten existed.

i was talking with @bayports and some other folks in my server and thought it would be a good [subjective] idea to bring back the NDAE project that i started a long time ago ... just for funsies !! 

if you weren’t around back then, or simply don’t remember, project NDAE [nancy drew alternate endings] was a collection of short stories in the form of alternate endings from ANY of the 33 nancy drew games. this was hugely popular on the herinteractive community boards and i used to have a lot of fun putting my fun spin on the games and the characters. so, why not bring it here?

the “rules” or guidelines are fairly simple:

choose ONE of the nancy drew games and write an alternate ending of your choosing. word count, ratings, subject content, etc. does NOT matter as long as you use appropriate tagging/flagging systems as appropriate. 

only use CANON characters (as in, no made up or original characters, or characters from another fandom/universe) and locations featured in the games and/or canon world (as in, don’t send them to the jakku or something).

that’s it !! we can revive the old hashtag #projectNDAE and when people are finished, i can comprise a list of the completed AEs so they’re all in one place.
