Too many people close to us have been affected by the horrible COVID-19. Yesterday, we lost my great friend and Mayra's brother Kike Lopez Cortez. He always called us on our birthdays; loved to fly in from Peru to spend Thanksgiving with us, a holiday that isnt even celebrated there; We made plans of adventures in Peru that I was looking forward to; And you said you would be here for the birth of my son, your nephew in April. My brother, I know you fought for your life til the end but unfortunately your body couldnt take anymore. The load you left in our hearts is heavy but i have to be strong for your sister and newborn nephew. I only wish i can take her pain right now for the sake of our child.
