people of colour deserve to be able to enjoy fluff and escapism and transformative media and silly fandom stuff the same way that everyone else is allowed to, i think. there’s a lot of unexamined hostility toward anyone who isn’t white; sometimes it’s subtle, and sometimes it’s not. there needs to be far more love and support for poc, and far less defensiveness and tolerance regarding racism in spaces like these.
when taking in a redeemed villain, it's important to give them lots of monologuing opportunities. a few will eventually settle out of that habit, but for the vast majority, it continues to be their most important social behavior, and even a major form of stress relief. it's also completely harmless, unlike some other behaviors that they may struggle to drop, so be sure to encourage them by presenting them with either large audiences (digital is ok — they love to be on screens), or potentially, a more intimate, one-on-one monologuing opportunity with a trusted confidant, depending on their prior villainous preferences. they may show signs of aggression during their monologue, but remember that it's just a performance — and if you play along in kind, your redeemed villain will develop a burning desire to protect you at any cost before you know it <3

There are elaborate designs on the center front of the boned bodice and also on the skirt hem. This dress is gathered at the back and has a train. Features that indicate this is an 1890s dress are the monobosom and the standing collar.
This dress was created by Julius Barnes & Co. and was part of the Miss May Godfrey Collection.”

Toilettes pour villas et châteaux. — Robe vert mousse, en foulard imprimé et satin merveilleux uni; jupe courte plissée à gros plis creux et garnie au bas d'un plissé fin en satin, découpé en dents rondes. Tunique drapée à gauche par quel-ques plis serrés; à droite, elle forme écharpe en satin relevée sous la draperie derrière. Cette draperie est la continuation de la tunique de foulard, elle retombe sur la jupe. Corsage à basque en pointe bordée d'une draperie à plis plats en satin; derrière, pouf plissé double; le haut, ouvert en cœur, est encadré d'un revers uni drapé à plat; froncé derrière le cou. Manches presque longues à revers uni croisé et drapé plat. Plissé de tulle de soie à l'encolure et aux manches.
