Not surprised to see posts commenting on criticisms of the speed of ancient releases with āthis is what you wanted, why are you complaining nowā and I think thereās a pretty big difference with the discussions of the five year difference between the most recent modern breeds and the current discussion about ancients.
The pattern on the auraboas wing genes is (as other people have pointed out) a stylistic decision more than it is a smaller āgene errorā. This is the kind of decision that should be made during development, before finalizing the genes, and certainly before the release of the breed. In short, it looks like the breed was released unfinished. Auraboa genes arenāt isolated examples, either. We have other examples with other breeds, enough to cause concern.
Also, I think itās worth mentioning that when ancients were first released, there was about a year between each release. We had three breeds released in 2023. Thatās a pretty sizable increase in rate, and itās not unreasonable to comment on it.
The players donāt have the information to speculate on why this keeps happening, but itās pretty clear that there is an issue with breeds being released and then needing these big corrections that would make sense to have happened well before they were finalized. I donāt think itās āwhiningā or ācomplaining about getting what you asked forā to notice that.

Methinks I am going to make my fr stuff a sideblog of my normal tumblr (it is detrimental being separate. detrimental to me. I can't check on my notifications for both tumblrs at once and I'm bothered.)
