They nod sympathetically at her complaints, frowning dramatically at her stories.

Bree would have kept complaining until something sparked in her mind.

"O-Oh, right... I wanted to ask you sssomething... You k-know Kiran, don't you?"

At the question, they tense, but relax almost immediately after.

“Kiran? I… know of him. Why do you ask?”

Jester walks around and tilts their head at Bree, amused that she couldn’t make eye contact. What nervous wreck.

“Wouldn’t say I hang out with her the most out of everyone, he happens to be there when I am. Nothing more.”

They shrug offhandedly, shoulders rising and falling with a certain elegant grace that only they could achieve.

They think of the cheerful flowers, the color of sun and their buds open. Overall, a flower of joy and excitement. They fail to make the connection with… this sad, frightened girl. How could daffodils reflect her at all? Curious, she says. Hm.

“Yarrow. I like yarrow flowers,” they reply, not seeing an issue with being honest with their answer. What could you get out of people with their favorite flower?

Bree slightly got carried away in her memories... Small flower shop with wind chimes on the entrance... They sounded so nice and relaxing...

As soon she hears the small compliment from Fool, she blinks twice, looking at them, before starts giggling.

"W-Why thank you... You a-almost remind me of... someone..."

“Hey, Bree?” They call, poking her gently in the shoulder, “you alright?”

They wait for a moment, before shaking her slightly, mock face of concern almost fading into annoyance.

Bree looked at Fool. Her vision was blurry from sudden tears, which appeared under her eyes. She quickly rubbed them away, this time they successfully dissappeared.

"My sincerest apologies, I z-zoned out again, didn't I?... goodness, what is wrong with me... I'm fine... It's all fine..."

Bree sniffed, rubbing her eyes... She held her own hand, just to calm herself.

She chuckles softly, rubbing the back of her neck.

Bree looks at Kiran, trying her best to smile normally... Well, that was something very close to a smile, but still wasn't it. At least, she kept the eye contact, which was a progress.

"I appreciate it, but I don't want you to waste your only lifeline in this place on me, okay? And of course, you can ask me anything."

Bree almost screamed, trying to prove herself right... After a moment, she blinked twice and realised what she said, becoming embarrassed and even more emotional.

Kiran glances over at the nervous person in front of her and tilts her head. She chuckles, softening his voice,

"Hey, there. I'm doing alright, nothing bad has happened."

Bree looks away in embarrassment, her face turning slightly pink.

"Y-Yeah, I'm good... Just have been a bit overwhelmed with t-this whole show... Really hope, you are not offended by my n-nervousness, because if you are, I'm rrreally sorry."

"H- hey, none of that's needed, it's okay. We're chill."

She resumes speaking once Bree is standing straight once more,

"Don't worry, really. Tell me, you been up to anything interesting? Who have you been hanging out with?"

Bree seemed a bit less nervous with the physical contact, yet she avoided eye contact...

Kiran hums in thought at the list of contestants, pulling his hands back and crossing his arms.

"Just making sure you're hanging out with the right people, and not people like..." She scowls just thinking about him.

"Ugh, Vick, or someone, but it's good that you're with them instead. I talk to them sometimes."

She gives a sympathetic look.

As Bree gets reminded of that group, she sighs heavily...

"Ughh... i didn't like them fffrom the start... Especially the ssssmall one, Nonsensical Jokester... My head still rings whenever I h-hear their voice..."

She rubs her forehead, trying to brush off that voice...

She hums in thought at the question.

"No one in particular, just been kinda bouncing around people. I did make a..."

Gods, she was still unsure how to label their relationship...

Her cheeks went a little pink.

Bree almost whispers her request, trying her best not to look at Kiran. Her face started to get sligthly pink, turning from bright one to very dark, almost resembling red. She wasn't embarrassed, she was ashamed of herself. She soon realised she worded not so specific as she firstly thought.

A surprised an amused snort leaves him, but he shoots her a smile.

"Sure, and don't worry I didn't think you meant anything else."

"Hey, don't do that. It's fine, I should have some tissues... stole some from the bar."

She digs in her jacket pocket and pulls out a few tissues before handing them over.

Kiran sighs, gently pulling away from Bree.
