indefinite hiatus

     ❝ i didn’t know you had a brother, ‘tebane. ❞ a soft blink, staring utterly lost and confused at the other uzumaki. what could he have meant? nonetheless, she’s here to support! ❝ .. whoever they are, would you like me to hit them with my trusted frying pan? ❞

     ❝ well, i guess i should’ve known better than to try and sneak something past you. ❞ a hand rubs the back of his neck, his usual dorkish smile sprawled across the blonde’s face. 

     ❝ it’s a surprise, for our anniversary.. you don’t wanna ruin it, do you? ❞

🌶 “I’m absolutely not implying that you forgot!” 🌶  Kushina insists, answering a little too fast to come off as entirely truthful.

She giggles a little, slightly giddy at his blatant confession of affection, 🌶 “You’re silly ‘ttebane.  I may be your wife but the village is a bigger responsibility” 🌶

🌶 “I kind of want to get out of the village for our anniversary, but I don’t think that’s possible for us, ‘ttebane” 🌶

     ❝ have a little faith in me, hm? ❞ he’s grateful to have a wife that understands his responsibilities as hokage --- but she’s important to him too. he became the hokage for BOTH of them. not just himself. 

     leaning over, a gentle kiss is pressed against her lips. letting his forehead come to rest against hers. while gentle blue eyes gaze affectionately into her own. 

     ❝ neji nii-san! ❞ an overexcited hanabi rushes up to the elder hyuga. not hesitating to fling her arms around him for a firm embrace. it feels like FOREVER since she’s gotten a chance to see him! ❝ did you miss me?? did you?? ❞

🌶 “Our anniversary is coming up ‘ttebane” 🌶 she murmured softly, setting down Minato’s dinner plate in front of him.  Kushina then took her seat to his right and squeezed his hand over the table.

Violet eyes watched him curiously, 🌶 “Do you want to make plans?  If you are busy in the office, I understand.  We can always do something on a day when you are not busy.” 🌶

     ❝ is this your way of implying i’ve forgotten, kushina? ❞ he teases, lips tugging upwards into a playful smile. minato’s soft, ocean hues follow her as she moves around the room. admiring the warm, loving aura she radiates ever so constantly. ❝ -- because i couldn’t forget one of the most important moments of my life. ❞

          “sakura-san!” jogs up beside her, but he’s on his hands rather than feet. just a normal lee thing, honestly, “i am due for my yearly physical and wellness check-up. perhaps you would like to be my examiner? i cannot think of a more talented medical jutsu user than you!”

     ❝ eh -- ? ❞ the audible sound of feet against the ground growing closer prompted the pinkette to pause in her tracks, head turning to catch sight of lee rushing up to meet with her. sakura’s lips pull into a warm smile at his flattery.. how could she say no after hearing that ??

    ❝ mama..-- ❞ as best she could not to smile, her mother’s hands squishing her face was too much. a helpless little smiles curves upwards on the uchiha’s lips, her own hands coming to rest against the back of sakura’s.❝ see? i’m fine, i promise.❞
