Do NOT send me AI art. If I wanted AI art, I would have just sent my prompt to ChatGPT on my own. I am looking for a real artist to work on this project with me. If I wanted AI art, I have plenty of avenues I could use to get it without offering to pay someone. Send me REAL authentic art or get blocked. This account is NOT a safe space for AI anything. 

Do NOT give me vague responses. Your application will get deleted if you give me replies such as “depends,” or “varies on ___.” Everything you need to know about my expectations for your art can be found in the form. If you cannot give me solid and concrete answers after viewing the form, do not apply. I will not entertain anyone who cannot give me a straight answer. This is not a safe place for sliding scales. You will tell me you have a set flat rate or you will not be taken seriously. I don’t have the time or patience to deal with someone who cannot be transparent with me. Vague replies are not transparent. 

NOW, here is the post: 

I am working on a novel for school. I graduate in November and I’m looking for an artist to work with to bring my characters and scenes to life for the sake of my portfolio for school. I had an artist I worked closely with for about two years but we amicably split ways in June of last year due to scheduling differences. I am looking to replace her as my artist and find someone who can pick up where she left off. 

The novel I’m writing is a crime thriller. It follows a main character who was sucked into a crime ring and now has to play dangerous games to earn product and money for his boss. There are themes of science fiction, death, LGBTQ+ (specifically M-M), crime, and psychological issues. If you are not comfortable with working around these themes, this is not the project for you. 

As a disclaimer, I will say: I will not ever ask you to draw anything NSFW or graphic. There will never be drawn out murders, sex, or whatever. That is not what this project is meant for. I simply am looking for someone who can provide art of my characters within simplistic scenes. When you open my form to fill out the application, you will come across art from my previous artist that showcases what exactly I’m looking for. 

I am looking for rough sketches, both colored and uncolored, no backgrounds necessary.

I understand I have a lot of rules and I’m kind of demanding, however finding an artist on Tumblr is extremely difficult. I get spammed, people are pushy and rude, I’m sent stolen and/or AI art, and it’s just generally very stressful to open Tumblr to that mess. I am not okay with getting several “hello??? Are you there??? Did you pick yet???” type messages. I will be blocking everyone who messages me. I’m not sorry about it. I stated very clearly that I do not accept messages and you are directly violating this request when you message me anyways.

I used Pinterest for inspiration for this painting. I had never painted before so I wanted to kind of copy another painting to get the feel for things. He is not great. He's very ugly. Lol! I messed him up a bit. The red splooge was supposed to be a little twirly piece of confetti but the paintbrush I used was too thick. I wiped it off as best as possible and went over it with white.

Overall: 3/10. He's ugly and a little ruined but he's trying his best! Lol!
