     Though he’d recognised the scent of another fox, there had been no way for him to distinguish that of a kitsune like himself or your average fox. Not that it mattered anyway - Yuki would make himself feel at home wherever he so desired.      ‘Ah, I’d love to join you!’ Yuki replied brightly (perhaps too brightly for one who had just awoken). ‘It feels like I haven’t eaten in forever.’ That was definitely far from the truth; Yuki would hunt and steal food whenever he required; it had probably been but a few hours since he last ate, but he’s never going to turn down a meal.

The yokai stepped aside and gesture for him to head in. ❝ After you then. ❞ Tomoe doesn’t admit to enjoying most things, but cooking was one of them he did. And it pleased him deep inside when Yuki agreed to join, a company he enjoys normally he wouldn’t.

she plops onto her knees,  tails gathering around herself as a means of maintaining any sliver of warmth.  amethyst gaze is cast toward the clouding skies after;  strange,  how moody the weather was.  hands collect in brocaded lap,  fingers loosely laced to refrain from habits of fidgeting.  “. . what you said before  -  i believe that there will always be some ribbon of loneliness within myself,  so i suppose to answer . . yes,  you do get use to it.  how long that takes,  however,  depends on you.”

Eyes went from her ears to the ground then back to her, he trying to distract himself from his mind but wondering why she was out this way in the first place. Not many come to the shrine anymore, there was no reason too, there was no god. And normally he hated anyone that would visit but today, perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad, though he would never admit it outwardly.

Tomoe wasn’t sure if that was the answered he wanted but it was the answered he would have to accept. ❝ Sometimes I wonder if I ever will..., get use to it. The answer is probably no. ❞ He sighed, his tail flicking against the wind before he murmurs to himself. ❝ I need sake... ❞ A slightly rumble erupted from the clouds and down came the rain in a gentle tickle, he looking over at the kitsune.

so. you got worse. and i'm not entirely sure i can blame you for it. maybe it was in you all along, hidden and waiting, or maybe someone planted it in you and watched it grow. either way, it's there now and you hold it in your fist like a second heart - this blood, this hunger, this thrill of having teeth and using them. perhaps you are right to. you are a mirror for the hardness of the world, and a mirror that we could all stand to look in more often. it's hard to watch the bleeding bring about more blood, but it is undeniable that you are very good at wounding.
