Four Years @ Augustana

In summary, it all has been a very exciting past weeks here at Augustana, and there will many more great memories where that came from! 

Rushing was so much fun!!! My best friend and I had a blast!!!

After a relaxing fall break, my new winter term classes are off to a great start.  I’ve also had the privilege to participate in a lot of fun activities, most notably Vikathon, where I got to eat food, take a zumba class, socialize with a lot of others students, and much more all while raising money for charity.  I am really enjoying my sophomore year at Augie! :) 

With the Saturday’s football game tied at 20, Danny intercepted a North Park pass at the Augustana 1-yard line on the opening play of the fourth quarter. Less than 3 minutes later, the Vikings scored the decisive touchdown in the 26-20 win. (full story)

This term has been going by very very very fast. already week 4, and also into our third game for football. So far everything has been smooth with classes, scheduling, and athletics. That doesn’t mean that it has taken a lot out of me. I’ve been very tired from my hectic schedule. But all in all I am loving my sophomore year so far! 

Hey everyone, fall term is flying by! Sophomore year is treating me well. I am always busy with my classes, band, work (in the Reading/Writing Center!), and my fraternity. And yes, I mean frat…Sigma Alpha Iota is a fraternity! Anyways, there is even a commuter club being formed and so there will be more to hear about that in the future! Happy week 4! 

It’s amazing how different I feel compared to how I felt this time last year. Last year I was in my room a lot because I hadn’t mad many friends yet and I was extremely home sick. Now I am barely ever in my room and I have a single this year, which I am very ecstatic about, by the way. I’m not home sick either. I know I’ll see my family for breaks so right about now I feel amazing. Hoping for a year filled with fun, laughter, and many memories!!!

After spending my first week here at Augie I can honestly say that I am glad to be back.  I am taking two classes for my major, Psych States and Adolescent Development, and already learning a lot.  I am also enjoying my new residence hall Erickson (and the air conditioning :P) I’m sure things will only continue to get better from here!
