• i hid the story of this AU in the tags of my other post, but for clarification, here's the synopsis:

around a week after the events of the game, Siffrin, missing Loop dearly, makes a small wish to see them again.

meanwhile, in a set of loops that turned out very differently, the world is ending.

this time, Siffrin managed to loop back during the final fight, and ends up giving up completely. Loop, seeing it all fall apart, makes one last wish- a wish that it never ended this way, that things turned out better.

and so, the Universe, being as efficient as it is, puts these two wishes together and gives both wishers what they want. Loop gets to experience a world where they all won, and Siffrin gets to see Loop again! surely this will turn out fine and not cause any issues!

• there is no multiple timelines at play here, technically, the "Bad end" happened first, and with Loop's wish, the world was 'reset' in a sense. Loop essentially got put to the side while the canonical events of the game occurred, and then brought back in after Siffrin wished to see them again. of course, to them, it all happened at once. one moment- it's the end of the world, the next- they're back like nothing happened.

• Loop gets put back in Dormont, while the party is on their way to Bambouche, so Loop ends up having to travel after them, experiencing a world they missed out on firsthand.

• Loop also becomes mortal. i imagine that they didn't need to eat, drink, or sleep during the loops, but now, they do. this development is very strange for them.

• but, since they have no money, and no intention of letting other people see them, Loop ends up just,, stealing food and clothes that have been left out. this may or may not end up spawning a rumour about a mysterious thief who steals unguarded items. and this rumour may or may not eventually reach a certain travelling party...

the meat and bones of this AU are still being formed, and this is very much just the skin layer of what i've been thinking of. Loop meeting back up with the party is going to be the main focus of this story, along with the conflict of having a Loop that hails from the worst-case-scenario seeing a Siffrin that 'got it right'.

of course, im still in the process of coming up with this AU, so i'll be adding and changing things as i go along

i'm also trying to pick a name for this AU... i'm thinking 'wrong number AU' but it feels a little different from what im going for,, we'll see,,, anyway, thank you so much for asking!! and thank you to everyone who has been liking and reblogging my og post (600+ notes in less than 48 hours is INSANE??)

prepare to see more on this AU in the future. it may take a little while, but i will definitely be posting some more stuff on it :)
