Today you are 6 years old! You’re in kindergarten at Bowie Elementary. You have some behavioral issues but nothing out of the ordinary for a child your age. You’re smart but it’s hard for you to stay focused. NBD, really. You’re beautiful and TALL as ever! I have no doubt you’ll be much taller than me by the time you’re like 12. You love Gabby’s Dollhouse, Jack Hartmann, ForeverNenaa, and CoryXKenshin. You’re a little more advanced than I’d like in the way that you’re absolutely absorbed by YT and gaming. You love Roblox but I’m super glad you can’t read well or spell well yet so you don’t really talk to anyone crazy on the internet just yet lol but I’m keeping an eye on it, believe me. You love playing games on your tablet that are like animal crossing or dress up. You like to eat pizza and pasta and pickles and burgers and fries. You love soda but I try not to let you have too much. You’ve developed a little attitude, as most girls do, but it’s nothing crazy. I think you’re mature for your age tbh. You’re ahead in ways that other’s wouldn’t even consider ahead probably but I think you’re doing just fine. I’m amazed by you everyday. I love watching and listening to you read and do math even though I know it probably doesn’t seem that way. I hope in the future you can understand where my frustration came from when we did homework. Lol, the issue is that I KNOW you KNOW the material. You just seem to be very distracted or in a hurry to get the work done. But I know you are intelligent. You love ART too so I think maybe you’re art minded. You’re incredibly artistic, especially on your tablet. We live with grandma and papa again and you love it, of course. Sometimes you miss your daddy bc he lives at Nana’s right now, but he always comes to visit us! Literally like every weekend lol. I love you so much, Leilei. And I hope when you get to read all these things that that is what comes through to you the most. That I love you so very much and that I’m so proud of you. I hope you never feel the opposite and I’ll always do my best to make sure you don’t, but in adolescence it’s hard to feel these things. I’m getting ahead of myself here though lol. I wish there were enough words in all the dialects of all the languages to even begin to explain how much I love you. And I wish you could understand them. Lol My first born. I feel like we’ve been through everything together and I know right now sometimes you might feel lonely or forgotten but you will never lose the place you hold in my heart. I love you very much and there aren’t enough numbers in the universe to count the ways. You are so full of happiness and energy and good intentions and I hope you stay that way forever. You are such a blessing to everyone in your life. You’re such a good big sister even though sometimes you can be a little rough. I know you love to make people laugh and smile and even when I’m mad at you I can’t help myself. You’re so smart! Even though we can’t get potty training down just yet, but I know if that that is mostly my fault. You know so much and it surprises me everyday. The colors, the numbers, the letters, you’ve always known that stuff but now I’m talking about the attitude and the words and the expressions and the love and care you show everyone in your life! It is unbelievable. I’m so excited to see what the years will bring us and I hope in the future I can relay this message in just the same way and that you will take it to heart. You mean everything to me and without you, I could not be me.

The year is 2020. You are 3 this year. We are in the middle of a pandemic. Which means things we can do outside of th house are very limited. When we are home we like to play hide and seek and pretend with toys. You still love to watch your YouTube but have picked up a few new shows like Scooby Doo and We Barr Bears! You talk a mile a minute and I have to use context clues to figure out what you’re trying to tell me. I love to listen to you tell stories. We’re trying to potty train but it’s really hard bc we don’t have a good schedule rn. You started daycare!!! Which you LOVE. You have a friend named Delilah who you can Lilah and you have a teacher named Ms. Tae. I always have a hard time getting you out of bed but once we get the ball rolling you’re okay. But bc of the pandemic you only went for one or two full weeks, bc we’ve decided to keep you at home to be safe. You’re such a good big sister even though sometimes I can tell you’re vying for attention but that’s normal and it’s okay. I always try to give you as much as I can! You love your grandma and papa and idk how you’ll feel if we ever move out lol but hopefully we can someday and hopefully by then I will be in a career and be able to support you and Tia. But for right now we are all doing fine. Everyone is happy and healthy and loved and that’s all I want :)

Leilei my big beautiful baby, you will be 3 next Thursday :) This year we are going to Tyler and your Nana has planned your party at Urban Air trampoline park! I’m so excited and I cannot wait to see how much fun you’ll have there!! Here’s what you’ve been up to since I last wrote lol we brought in the new year together watching a movie in Diltons room, you’ve been acting especially crazy (just normal terrible 2 business) you’re favorite word to say is NO and you love to make everyone mad lol, you love your baby sister very much but sometimes you are just a little rough. You still love to sing and to color (I’m very impressed w your coloring idk if it’s bc I’m your mom or if it’s bc you’re actually really good at it haha), you love to eat snacks but you rarely eat real food, if I ask you your name you say “I Leilei” and If I ask how old you are you say “I Leilei” again hahaha. You’re not potty trained yet but it’s a little difficult to do with my morning work schedule and when I put you on the toilet you wait until I take you off to do your business 🙄. You speak so well now and you really know how to communicate how you’re feeling or what you want. You tell me when you’re hurt and when I’m hurt you comfort me. You run to your sister when you hear her crying and you’re always eager to help. Everyday I find something to be proud of in you, even when we have bad days I can’t help but laugh at you. I hope I can cultivate a love for curiosity and caring in you forever. I know you are so smart and I can’t wait to see where life takes you. I love you forever, Leilei ❤️

My big baby, you’re over 2 and a half years old now and you’re growing every single day! You’re such a good big sister to our baby Tia and you love her so much. You love to run around and sing songs and color and watch tv. Your favorite songs to sing are Let It Go, Hush Little Baby, and the birthday song!lol you seem to hate eating but you when you do eat something it’s usually noodles or chips. You love candy the most and Halloween is your favorite holiday. You love zombies and skeletons and vampires. Lol I love watching you grow up even though sometimes it makes me sad. I’m sorry if sometimes it feels like we don’t have time for you anymore or if it seems like all we ever do is yell at you. I want to do better with you bc I want you to feel loved and be happy. The last thing I want to do is force you to grow up. I love you forever and I’ll like you for always ❤️

Halloween is clearly your favorite holiday! You watch Halloween YouTube videos and you love talking about skeletons and zombies and ghosts and spiders! Lol you’re really weird, like your daddy. But you had a good time today. We went downtown (which sucked), to first baptist trunk or treat (also kinda sucked, 45 min line), and we went to Kristas house and Taylor’s house and a few other houses too! You got a lot of candy and you loved trick or treating :) I can’t wait til next year so maybe we can take Atiyah and daddy too! You were a really great Wonder Woman and you had fans everywhere you went lol ❤️💛💙

Leilei you’re a little more than 2 and a half now and you’re growing so fast I just can’t keep up! You lip sync songs and dance around and you’re on GO all day long! You have so much energy and I wish I had energy to match. You love your baby sister so much and you’re not even jealous at all! We’re still working on potty training right now and it’s a little difficult bc we have Tia now and it’s hard to get a good routine going, I wish I’d started trying much earlier. Grandma and papa are still your very favorite people and you’re really starting to get used to going to Nanas house! You’re so smart and so beautiful. Your nana says everywhere you go, you have fans. We all love you so much, Leilei ❤️ I can’t wait to see what your future will be like!

You hang the moon and light the stars. You keep me here every single day. One day I hope I can find the words to thank you. I love you so much, Leilei. Idk what I would do in this Earth without you. ❤️

You’re not 2 yet, but you’re already terrible. From the minute you get up to the second you lay down you are running and jumping and screaming and playing and laughing and singing. I love to watch you do things. You’re really good at figuring things out, your dad thinks you might be an engineer, but we will see. I will support you no matter what you decide to do with your life anyway. The last appointment we went to, you weighed 29 pounds and were 33′’ tall! You are the complete length of my leg and you’re only 1! Some people say you’ll probably stop growing early but I think you’ll be tall and skinny like your daddy. You can count in your own way lol you know daddy and baba and nana and mommy. You can show us your nose, your eyes, your ears, your teeth, and a lot more! You sing songs you’ve heard a million times and you can recognize animals and objects. You are so smart already and you will only get smarter!! I can’t wait to discuss things with you and hear your opinions on things happening around you. Watching you grow everyday is one of the only things that makes me truly happy <3
