Endless Forms Most Curious

However! A snippet of Constantine, my a5 plain hobo commonplace book. Due to my obsession with index cards, I've not brought over all of the tidbits to weave into him but they're coming slowly. As my larger books are for archival purposes, I want them to be at least a little more neat than my average chicken scratch (´∀｀) and what is currently in him is a mix of older books I tried to start but had a lot of issues getting the format that I wanted? I also had issues with the books themselves being printed incorrectly, which drove me insane not being able to get a single straight line no matter how hard I tried- and now I'll never use dot grid again. Graph or regular lines for me.

Again, thank you @petite-gloom! The marginated aspect is genius, as some of my previous entries only had tiny margines for sourcing and the coded dots. Or maybe a single tiny thought. Now I can place smaller entries (or in depth thoughts) while making the page come together more nicely. It reminds me of composition books I used in middle and high school, to use it in regular journaling is brilliant. It isn't my intention to copy anyone else, but I won't deny the inspiration/structure I've taken from Megan! She's a very creative soul and I'm happy to have found her work as it is both comforting and interesting. I hope as time goes on my own creativity will shine through the inspiration I've taken.

That said, Constantine is my more plain book (exo), since the subjects I insert into him are more "huh, I'm happy to know this" kind of topics, whereas Agharta is much more..."spooky" in subject matter (eso), so the decorating is more "me" in that it's themed like a creative journal that just so happens to be filled with archival information. I do also have creative journals but as they are deeply personal, I may not share much of them here. I am very particular about the books having themes and subjects that do not often overlap, the only exceptions being Constantine and Agharta (as sometimes you can have an interesting surface level tidbit that has much deeper interconnectedness that should be researched).

I'm still sticking to my index cards as they're so simple to get the information onto and put away quickly, but when I have time to be slow and methodical- I work in my books themselves and try to present them in a way that future me will look back on and think, "Nice."

Still working out the kinks in photo editing, these looked a lot nicer on my phone and a bit washed out on the computer but I'm sure I'll get better over time. Thank you for reading, whoever you are- and may you have a blessed day. (I tried updating the photos, I hope they look less washed out now)
