Yasuhiro had been having strange dreams, where he was a talking cat with a sword, and his spouse was a little white cat with green ears and red eyes like a mochi rabbit. Discussing it with a stranger was an unintentional consequence of training the sense for too long.

            “Um.. Nya?”

This was difficult to comprehend, Yasuhiro was trying his best to figure it all out, but the other’s words eluded him. It was very complicated English, something he had never gotten the hang of, even with his spouse’s help.

He felt strange and foreign here, though this region was not much different from his home. Yuki had told him of the wonders of each individual place, and despite being from a rural village in Unova, Yasuhiro felt better here than he had on the urban streets of his home region.

He hisses at the hand, reaching for a sword that was missing from it’s hilt. When Yasuhiro realized this, he was on his paws, baring his teeth.

He really hated getting pet like he was some sort of cute object, rather than a rōnin. It was awkward and annoying, especially when the people petting him carried knives on them. Yasuhiro’s narrowed eyes squinted at the girl’s habit of bringing knives to wherever she went for the day. Yes, it was nice to have time to visit his snowy spouse, but it would be even better to live there.

Why did every human he met seem to want to pet him? It was annoying- Not every cat enjoyed ear scritches, and not every cat wanted belly rubs. Besides, Yasuhiro’s stomach was covered for a reason. If only his sword was in his paws- It was a shame that he had left it at home.

Meows were directed at the child, followed by a hiss. Yasuhiro’s sword was drawn, pointed in the direction of the boy before him, who had (intentionally or not) gotten water all over the rōnin cat. Not only were his clothes and fur ruined, but a gift for his spouse had nearly fallen into a nearby storm drain. He needed to avoid human sidewalks after this.
