🔥   90TH   ANNIVERSARY   BONFIRE   —   EVENT   SUMMARY   🔥

the   fire   burned   high   on   the   shore,   sparks   drifting   up   into   the   dark.   it   was   supposed   to   be   a   celebration   —   ninety   years   since   the   old   treaty,   a   tradition   wrapped   in   stories   so   worn   they   almost   sounded   like   folklore.   humans,   shapeshifters,   and   vampires   all   stood   within   the   same   circle   of   light,   pretending   the   history   between   them   was   something   they   could   fold   away   for   one   night.

but   even   in   the   warmth   of   the   flames,   there   were   shadows.

🩸   one   vampire   swore   they   caught   the   scent   of   an   unknown   vampire   on   the   wind   —   not   from   either   coven,   but   strangely   familiar,   like   a   memory   they   couldn’t   quite   place.   there   was   no   proof,   only   the   way   it   clung   to   the   back   of   their   mind. 🐺   one   shapeshifter   couldn’t   shake   the   feeling   of   eyes   in   the   treeline   —   something   that   didn’t   belong   to   any group there.   they   mentioned   it   once,   but   the   others   laughed,   and   the   subject   was   dropped. 🎯   one   hunter   left   certain   the   night   had   been   touched   by   something   unnatural.   they   couldn’t   prove   it,   but   their   suspicion   landed   squarely   on   the   nahuelthé   and   their   land. after all, it's their woods, right? 👀   one   human   saw   movement   —   too   fast,   too   sharp,   just   on   the   edge   of   their   vision.   a   vampire?   a   wolf?   not that they'd know... or   the   thing   that   took   hannah?   if   anything   took   hannah   at   all.

by   the   end   of   the   night,   the   tide   had   come   in   and   the   fire   burned   low,   leaving   only   embers   and   the   quiet   churn   of   rumor.   every   person   who   had   been   there   walked   away   with   their   own   version   of   the   truth,   and   none   of   them   matched.
