No one to reach out to

No one to care

No one to hug me and soften my fears

So i sit here in silence and feel my heart ache

He is out there, they are out there

But there’s a wall in between

i put it there.  So thick and so murky

i built it for their sake, to protect from the cold.

i imagine a me that is fearless and free

But she doesn’t associate with people like me

i hate that i can’t and i hate that i won’t

break free from this pull that is pulling so hard

so I sit here in silence, don’t pick up that phone

a person is there, who doesn’t deserve this.

Ashamed that the strength to converse is too much

And the pull pulls me harder and is too much to bear.

I imagine the comfort I’m so desperate to feel

Strong arms to surround me and make me feel  REAL

A soul that I see and can also see me

But I sit here in silence that I have put there
