Youâre one of the good things in this world.
@igcttabe
--- about a week had passed since CELLA had spent her free weekend with him at bear island. he was realizing now that he missed her terribly, even if only a night had passed since heâd last seen her. it had pleased him, to hear the delight in her tone over the telephone, when he asked his girlfriend if she would be interested in going apple-picking with him. the man hoped to learn of every little thing that made her exclaim with such unadulterated JOY. the air was crisp on this day, as THEON took his ladyâs hand, and guided her through an open field that was dotted with fruit trees. there appeared to be several couples in attendance on this morning, a few of whom brought along their little children. a tiny smile curved the greyjoyâs mouth, as his eyes fixated on a young father with his son atop his shoulders. the boy reached for a green apple. his giggle continued to ring in theonâs ear long after the sound had concluded. his blue eyes flitted warmly over myrcellaâs face, as he squeezed her hand in his lightly. âdo you think that will be US one day, my lady?â it was the first time that he was contemplating an authentically HAPPY future for himself. and SHE was part of this jubilant vision. âi can see it,â theon continued warmly. âour son, with my eyes, throwing mud pies at our daughter, with your smile, as she picks at FLOWERS instead of a p p l e s.âÂ

âthey also happen to be a bunch of bores. i donât want them. i want you.â lucifer couldnât have been any more honest than that. he was quite surprised that he had gone searching for another therapist at all but he did therapy because deep down he knew it helped and he needed it. he was very aware of the conversations heâd had with lawrence and that was purely because they interested him, it may have also had something to do with the fact that he didnât mind the man sat before him. he was much more tolerable than others heâd met during his time here. despite being aware of his connection with jigsaw it hadnât clicked that amanda was very much a part of that connection too. for some strange reason he hadnât put the two of them together. âah, adam. yes.â nodding because he did remember. âwe never got to experiment ourselves, did we? that elena snatched you up before i had the chance.â he was being serious despite the carefree chuckle that escaped him. of course, he wouldnât try anything now but back then? it may have crossed his mind. it wouldnât have been him if it hadnât. âwhy thank you.â when the doctor seemed truly happy for him. âi feel it. you know? but when she said those three little words i⌠i couldnât say it back.â that was the first problem of the day that he needed help with. âyes, excellent. see youâre not half bad at this! perhaps telling you about her might help.â nodding his head enthusiastically at the doctorâs suggestion, even though it seemed like a fairly normal place to start it hadnât occurred to him till the doctor had mentioned it. âher name is amanda. amanda young. i truly believe she is the first person iâve met thatâŚâ trying to give her the justice she deserved. âthat sees⌠well, me. all of me. the good, the bad⌠not the ugly. i donât do ugly but you get my drift? the darkness⌠the parts of me that most people run from. she⌠she runs too.â when he mentioned that lucifer wouldnât ruin things that was when the true frown appeared. âhow can you be so sure?â
--- the doctor hadnât spoken about ADAM to many people. ELENA included. the younger male was a large part of a chapter of his life that he seldom returned to. in part, it was because he didnât know how to return to those times. heâd changed so much since then, and as a result, it often felt pointless to resurrect memories that heâd long since dealt with. or had BURIED. he sometimes wondered what ELENA would think of the man. or of the fact that heâd been attracted to him, at least for a short while. before heâd been transported to another land. unable to investigate what couldâve been. needless to say, lawrence was beyond happy NOW. he was beyond happy with her. and as a result, heâd put most of these matters to bed. now, he missed his DAUGHTER most of all. but so long as DIANA and adam were s a f e, wherever in the world the pair might be, then that was all that mattered to him. the blonde-headed male darkened in the RED color of his complexion once he heard luciferâs prod. âplease,â he dismissed sheepishly, as if what the devil was proposing was preposterous. dr. gordon had not considered SEX with the man explicitly. but at the same time, he had not neglected to notice how handsome he was. it still bothered him, to some extent, finding another man attractive. chalk that up to years of engrained homophobia and a personal insecurity of his own. âyou wouldâve learned of my baggage and headed right out the door,â he suggested, managing a weak grin in his friendâs direction. âso itâs best that nothing did happen.â plus, ELENA was much more his type. nodding, lawrence asked carefully-- with genuine CARE in his eyes-- âwhy do you think that you werenât able to say those three words back?â everyone had their reasons. it could be a frightening thing-- to be vulnerable to another. to admit their LOVE for them. but once lawrence heard THAT name.... once it returned, in a new world, to grip him... a cold shiver seized his spine, and for the briefest of moments, the man visibly shook. âamanda?â he began, shaking his head slightly. âyou said her name is amanda YOUNG, right?â it couldâve been a common name, right? it wasnât like her name was crystal rivers, or something unique like that. âwhatâs she....â lawrence swallowed at the thick lump that was forming in his throat. âwhatâs she like?â he didnât want to jump to conclusions. but he needed to hear something that would confirm or refute this growing FEAR of his.Â
âwhat did you do? sleep with their wives?â a rather direct question to ask someone she hadnât even said hello to yet as she moved to sit in the empty seat opposite him. "although all of them?â turning her head to glance at the people who seemed to be staring before focusing her eyes back on him. âthat would be impressive.â a bold smirk falling onto her lips as she folded her one leg over the other. this place wasnât murderville for her like lakewood had been but it was hardly the life of the party either. brooke knew what it was like to have people glare and whisper behind your back. ever since the parade in lakewood where sheâd stood up on stage in front of the entire town drunk and told them their town was a lie. their lives were a lie. well, she hadnât been golden girl after that. not that she ever was. it sounded bad and perhaps it was seen as her father had been the mayor but her boyfriend had just died and there was everyone throwing a celebration. ignoring the fact that it had happened at all. it hadnât been acceptable and seen as no one else was going to say it⌠she had. brooke pulled herself from her thoughts as she brought her attention back to the male she had decided to sit with. âiâve been there.â her tone genuine; showing signs of who she really was as she smiled slightly. âlet them hate. it doesnât look good on them whereas this ââ gesturing to whatever look he had going on. âbrings out the colour in your eyes.â another smile but a smaller one. a real one. âiâm brooke.â
@forgedofironâ for jaime
--- âwhat gave me away?â SER JAIME repeated, flashing the other a twin, amused smile at her question. âall on the same night, actually. it was incredibly impressive. the men tried to catch me, but....â shaking his head, in further demonstration of his current theatrics, the lion concluded, â...iâm a difficult man to CATCH.â no, it had nothing to do with bedding the menâs maidens, but he had noticed-- and rather QUICKLY-- that most sets of eyes in the room were glued to him. the knight could not have guessed WHY they were glaring at him. none of them had known him from his previous world. at least, he didnât RECOGNIZE any of them, if they had. none of them would refer to him as the kingslayer. oathbreaker. man without honor. still, it perturbed him. it was challenging enough-- being hated in ONE world. he did not desire for the pattern to continue here. especially when he could finally be a father to his daughter. like heâd always wanted to be. âyouâve been there?â the older male repeated, a sparkle of DOUBT shining across his eyes, but it did not reach his tone. at least, it didnât yet. he tried his best not to judge a book by its cover, but to ERR was h u m a n. and jaime had erred too many times as it was. âhowâs that? you slept with these menâs wives, too?â jaime teased, offering an upturn of his eyebrows. ânot that iâm one to JUDGE. to each their own.â after all, heâd been involved with his own SISTER, for most of his life. people were complex. jaime actually laughed at what sounded like a compliment pulling from brookeâs lips. clearing his throat a bit before he replied, all jaime said was, âwhy thank you. but who says that iâm not similarly driven? by HATE, i mean?â she wouldnât know it. he WASNâT, of course. he was driven by a lot more. âbrooke,â he repeated, his smirk turning into a more genuine grin as he extended his FLESH hand out to her. his GOLDEN one was masked inside of a winter glove. âyours is a nice name. âtis a pleasure to meet you. you can call me JAIME.âÂ

âyou count on that smile to say it for you.â her own smile warming just at the sight of his because his smile was one of her favorite things in the world. âiâm trying. okay?â a playful frown on her features, not being able to hide the humor in the situation either as a chuckle fell from her lips. âitâs not my fault your so good at this.â gesturing to the mess sheâd left behind her as she turned to face him again. âum,â she had no idea what this even was at this point. âiâm going to say the second one?â shaking her head as another chuckle escaped her because only she could be cooking with no real direction of what she was making. âhi you.â her fond greeting for him which she never wanted to change. elena wrapped her arms around his shoulders when he pulled her close to him, not resisting and if anything pulling herself as close as she could to him. âwhat was that for?â her tone playful because of course, he didnât need a reason to kiss her like that as she leaned forward to press another kiss to his lips because it had felt so good the first time. she had missed him⌠hence the terrible idea to try and cook for him. âyou donât think it can be saved?â turning to look at the food that clearly had no way of being saveable as she flashed him a bigger smile. âtake out sounds perfect. i can get the wine?â that contribution felt safer than cooking anything.Â
--- âyouâre right. it isnât your fault that i was born with impeccable recipes in my brain and a sharpened spatula in my hand,â lawrence said teasingly, his mouth producing the famous, lopsided smirk of his, that he knew ELENA loved. the man laughed easily at his girlfriendâs hesitation to identify the mystery meat that sheâd torched. âmaybe it doesnât matter, dear,â the man said more kindly this time. âis this how the lessons with your knight friend go, out of curiosity?â the doctor had yet to meet the infamous SER JORAH, but he sounded like he was a good man. after all, elena kept good company, and she selected her friends carefully. âdo you miss LINDSEY being around?â he asked her then, not wanting to open any wounds or breach any painful subjects, but they hadnât discussed their unexpected change in location to the fullest extent yet. it seemed to be worth talking about, even if the transition was not entirely bumpy. HI YOU. this greeting of elenaâs never failed to warm up his heart. only she could have such an effect on him. she made him feel loved. she made him feel agile and younger and HAPPY. she could only bring out the very best in a man who had not so long ago thought that his good days were behind him. that things could only become WORSE with the passage of time. âthat was for smoking up my kitchen,â he said teasingly, leaning down once more to offer her lips are more tender peck. âno, but really. it was for being such a wonderful girlfriend. you never fail to amaze me, my sweet.â chuckling slightly, lawrence shook his head. âno, love, i think itâs safe to say that your burnt chicken strips must meet the trash.â he was quite looking forward to a restful night, spent dining and chatting with his partner. âand wine sounds lovely. what do we have around? barefoot? yellow tail?â whatever SHE preferred, the man was happy with.Â

âsorry, a bit late. i know.â not that heâd scheduled an appointment in but this talk felt very much overdue. lucifer was so wrapped up in what he was feeling and what amanda was feeling for him in return it didnât occur to him how lawrence would feel about it. the connection there hadnât clicked yet and perhaps it wouldnât until it was much too late. whoops. it was a long time ago now, right? people⌠moved on from these things or so heâd hope later. âdonât mind if i do.â taking a seat on the chair in front of his desk as he folded his one leg over the other naturally. âwell done you for giving me the option of both. iâm flattered.â lucifer was very open about his sexuality, he didnât see any reason to be shy about it. âbut this is a lady and youâll be pleased to know itâs just the one. sheâs quite the handful.â his old therapist linda hadnât been quite so lucky when it came to luciferâs endeavors but that was before washington, before france⌠before all of it actually. âi thinkâŚâ his voice quieter now which showed he was being more serious. âbollocks to that. i know that iâm in love and weâll get back to how bloody terrifying that is in a minute but first⌠i need help in not ruining it. are you up for the challenge? itâs a full-time commitment just so you know.â his smile perhaps made him his words not sound quite as serious as they were.Â
--- âwell, i am not as antiquated as many of the so-called professionals here,â dr. gordon responded politely, and with a co-occurring rise and fall of his shoulders. prior to his ordeal with the JIGSAW KILLER, he had been rather rigid in his disposition, and unwavering in his view of the world. heâd judged othersâ acceptable and normal relationships while he maintained his own which SHOULD have been judged. not to mention, it had shocked him to his core, once heâd realized that what he felt for ADAM STANHEIGHT was not perfectly platonic. in fact, he knew for a fact that heâd been attracted-- sexually and romantically-- to the younger man. he hadnât known what to do with this reality, and it didnât matter much now. but it remained to be a TRUTH of his life, and it was one that heâd shared with lucifer in the past, too. âand you knew about ADAM as it is.â lawrenceâs blue eyes lit up happily once lucifer mentioned that his romantic interest was THE ONE. it was a sweet sentiment for any man to speak, but for the devil? well, she must have been one special person for him to be speaking of her in this way. âiâm happy for you, luce. thatâs fantastic.â LOVE was a beautiful thing, the oncologist thought. the world needed more of it. âi would have been surprised if a well-behaved lady became your spouse of choice,â the doctor teased good-naturedly. âbut regardless, youâve got to tell me all about her. donât leave a single detail unspoken.â as a PROD, lawrence shrugged his shoulders, and asked, âiâm not sure. how much do you PAY?â before he said afterwards, âof course, my friend. iâm happy to help. although iâm sure youâre being hard on yourself. you wonât RUIN things.âÂ
igcttabe¡:Â
lucifer could be shallow. he was the devil. looks, glamour, the finer things in life always took his fancy and simply because they were his take if he wanted them. amanda was beautiful, she may have had a different fashion style to him seen as he practically lived in suits but he didnât care. in fact, he didnât notice to care because it didnât matter what she was wearing. she was beautiful regardless of the fact. she was beautiful in so many ways and he wanted her to know that. he wanted to show her that. lucifer leaned into her kiss, his arm naturally curling around her so that he could keep her close as his lips pressed firmly against hers. he didnât feel the need to be gentle. not that he would ever want to hurt her but he could kiss her roughly, he could grip her clothes without the worry of offending her and he liked that. in all honesty, it excited him. she excited him. it was easy to get carried away, especially when he wasnât particularly trying to hold back his urges as his fingers tightened in the material of her dress. his eyes sparkling when she took a moment from the kiss. âas you know. you are more than welcome.â thanks were not necessary, he didnât need nor want to hear them from her which showed in ways she was different. now sheâd taken her step back his eyes could address her properly, his smirk growing the longer they rested on her. âdonât tempt me, darling. you are clearly the most edible in this place.â it was true and he wouldnât be shy in putting his thoughts across either. dresses suited her and they were highly convenient too. âweâre in france. all there bloody is is wine.â he teased with a grin. âwe can raid the bar? see what else we find?â there wasnât anyone to tell then no and anyone who had dared had been⌠disposed of. perhaps not murdered which was what first came to his mind but he had different ways of keeping people busy. lucifer pulled the chair out for her, moving to his own as he folded his leg over the other. a natural position for him as he brought his wine to his lips to distract himself from wanting to kiss her all over again.Â
--- it was bizarre, how amanda could operate as both totally expert and inexpert when it came to RELATIONSHIPS. on the one hand, she understood others to an extent that few others could. she didnât know if sheâd been gifted a suspicious mind at birth, or if hers had been honed over years of trauma, but either way, she was able to scrutinize people to an impressive degree, based on this unique quality of hers. she was able to assess their fears and insecurities. hopes and dreams. strengths and weaknesses. all with very little previous information. but on the other hand, she had little background experience when it came to functional, healthy relationships. the woman had no blueprint for how parents were supposed to love their children. she struggled to understand what romance and friendship should manifest into. hell, even casual connections, she had a hard time deciphering. how to trust doctors, how to thank the mailman. but with LUCIFER, things fell into place rather naturally. she did not have to will herself to understand him, because so much of what made him HIM was what made her HER. she did not peer into the eyes of a stranger when their dark orbs connected. instead, she was returning to a familiar place. to a HOME. to someone whom she could trust with all that she was. biting at his bottom lip slightly, amanda smirked as she disconnected their mouths, and stared back up at him. it was tempting, to get lost into the less socially appropriate acts of the night, which she anticipated might come along on this night. but heâd booked out an entire restaurant for her! the least that she could do was to enjoy the evening over some dinner and wine. not to mention, she rather craved to do so. âyouâre right about that. i am quite edible.â his words might be forward for some, but not to her. she was accustomed to far raunchier in general, and with him? she only hoped to hear more of his profanities. she wanted to taste them on his tongue each night, because otherwise, she may feel deprived. âbut iâll be dining on YOU before you get to dine on ME.â he didnât get to win all of the time. and torturing him sounded absolutely delightful, in her mind. âyou read my mind,â amanda agreed, her pace already headed in the direction of the bar. âdid you have to KILL anyone to make this magical evening happen?â the woman asked, having a feeling that she may be speaking to some of his thoughts. after all, the pair was so similar that she was often able to do this with impressive accuracy. âbecause if you killed them without me, i may feel a little bit HURT.â with a large bottle of scotch and another of vodka, amanda returned to where lucifer was seated at their table, and she flashed him another one of her famous smiles. âthese will make the night even better,â she suggested, mirroring how he crossed his legs in a similar manner with her own. âsoooo...â she mused, a playful look betwixt her expression then. âwhat are we to talk about, LUCI?âÂ
igcttabe¡:
âwhat was it like?â her voice quieter as she tilted her head slightly. âyour life⌠before all this.â by all this she meant france, she meant the changes⌠they hadnât talked much about their previous life. elena knew that she had been particularly quiet about her own but where would she even start? looking back even she knew it had been crazy. âitâs a joy for me too, by the way. having someone i can talk too.â her smile stretching slightly as she agreed with him. elena waited for him to finish what he was saying, wondering what phrase he was going to come out with as she chuckled. âser jorah a sucker. it does have a ring too it.â she teased, still chuckling as she shook her head slowly. âso behind all the muscle your actually a cuddly bear?â her smile still present. âiâll be sure to remember that.â chuckling once more and not because it was funny but because it was nice. hugs were great, she never turned her back on one. âyou were a soldier?â it wasnât that much of a surprise but there was a part of her that wanted to stand in front of him and shield him from that. not that he needed protecting but after being in what felt like a supernatural war, she knew the kind of things it could do to people⌠the kinds of terrible things it made people do and see. âwar changes people. iâve seen it.â elena knew that would sound strange coming from her and although her war wasnât on a battlefield. there had still been too many losses. âand i know i didnât know you before but your still goodâŚ. your still a good guy and iâm so relieved you were able to hold onto that.â her smile sad but present. âi think you deserve to be happy.â her smile growing out of the sadness and back into the warmth it usually had when she was with him. âthey say cooking is the first step to becoming domestic.â nudging him gently as she smiled. âthe next is gardening. maybe that can be our next course?â elena joked because she actually knew a thing or two about gardening, she could probably teach him the basics. âiâm not sure what iâm good at.â her tone wasnât sad because she was okay with it. this was life. normal life. she had her job and all the coursework that came with it because she was still training. âi forget your old school.â elena teased him with a warm smile. âcheesy isâŚâ crinkling her nose as she tried to think of it. âitâs like when youâre being overly nice about something.â it probably wasnât the best description but she couldnât think of another way to explain without using other new words he might not know the meaning of yet. ânervous? maybe of burning the place down.â she teased quietly gently. âare you?â
--- what was his life like before all of this? ââtis a difficult feat-- to put my life into words,â jorah admitted, a sheepish smile taking to his face and turning his handsome features. heâd been told by many that AGE suited him, but their opinions mattered not to him. only DANYâS conceptions did. âit was arduous. it tested the core of everyoneâs strength. it tested the extent of men and womenâs COURAGE.â it was a painful concession to make, but most people failed to hold up under the severities of his previous universe. âkingdoms warred against one another. rulers vied for recognized leadership positions.â shaking his head, the knight continued. âbastards were born aplenty, most of them thrown into the sea or left to fend for themselves. if one was not born rich or managed to acquire power, then they were left at the mercy of whomever was above them.â did elena truly wish to hear all of this? jorah caught himself wondering. âi was afforded many privileges. i was born into a respected house. i was anointed by a KING, and i became a knight.â he paused, wetting his lips slightly before he continued. âbut through my own mistakes, i brought shame onto my house. i was disgraced by my father, and exiled, forced to leave my country. AWAY from what had been my home-- it was called BEAR ISLAND-- i met my beloved.â the older male chuckled to himself slightly. âforgive me for speaking so much, elena. if i am to speak another word of what my life was, you may think of me as MAD.â not to mention, he would much prefer to hear about HER life. âwhat of you, my lady? you had mentioned mystic falls to me once and briefly. but i would enjoy to hear more about your life. your family. your HOME.â he nodded his confirmation that heâd been a soldier. âaye, i was. i believe that i always will be. i aimed to forever serve the rightful QUEEN. i lived and i DIED for her.â heâd do it all again in a heartbeat, too. âdid you live in a time and context of warfare as well, my friend?â ser jorah asked then, his blue eyes filling with concern for the woman beside him. had she lost people? had she lost herself? âi have become happy in our new place,â he shared with elena contently. â...and i always intended to be a GOOD man. i do hope that i have been successful.â he hadnât always been. heâd made mistakes. HORRIBLE ones, at that. âgardening would be splendid,â jorah replied, the brightness filling his eyes immediately. âdaenerys does love her lemon trees.â his silver-haired beloved adored flowers, too. âof burning the place down, NO,â ser jorah replied with a grin, before he added, âof tasting your cooking? indeed!â an easy laugh left his mouth then, as the man looked at his friend. he was JOKING. how perverse! heâd never been able to joke freely in his old world. what a welcome change all of this was.Â

ânot back home maybe but here? donât want you thinkinâ itâs any different. mean, not for me. still got yaâ back.â people pitched in back home, people understood what it was like and it was more of a community⌠even if he hadnât always chosen to be a direct part of it. here though? it was different. it was back to the days of everyone being out for themselves and not giving a shit. daryl didnât doubt her for a second, he figured if he wasnât here sheâd still make it just fine alone but he had to make the point known sheâd never have to do that as long as he was around â not unless she wanted too. daryl would put them before himself, he tended to do that with certain people but for her and hershel it went without saying at this point. he didnât for one second think that she wouldnât do the same for him but he wouldnât let her. nah, she deserved this much more than he did. âcourse not.â when she managed he would never let that happen and if he did it wouldnât be out of not doing everything to try and prevent it first. âwhat gave me away? my breathtakinâ smile?â daryl teased lightly letting out a gentle scoff as he let his eyes rest on her. it was the truth though, he really was doing much better than he had been in a while and that had started months before arriving here. âalright then.â nodding when she mentioned she liked it here because as long as she and hershel were happy then they could make it work. well, they were making it work. âmy god.â he joked. âthatâs why your smilinâ so damn much? nâ there was me thinkinâ it was âcause of me.â his voice light to show he was just continuing the joke to as he smirked softly. daryl knew the sudden mood change was because of his reaction and he was silently cursing himself. his eyes flashed to her hand that was on his as he gently took her hand in his â welcoming the embrace rather than shying from it. when she said she could tell him all he could think was fuck. actually, there were a lot of fucks that he didnât say out loud as he sat in silence deliberating internally with himself as to what he should do. this didnât come naturally to him. it never really had. âyou.â his word a whisper like heâd had to fight within himself to be able to say the word out loud. âbeen thinkinâ about you.â his words still quiet⌠the usual gravel to his voice as he added quickly. âus.â
--- âi know that youâd have my back anywhere, daryl.â maggie wanted the firmness of her assertion to be known to her companion. at the start of the END, maggie had not believed in the dead revving back into life. and after the apocalypse both persisted and worsened, she began to believe in less and less. what little she did retain her faith in was challenged after countless tragedies and traumas, but the survivor was grateful that she had a reliable number of family members who helped to keep her optimistic. DARYL was certainly one of them. plus, she could also count on him not to patronize her. and not to give her false hope where hope was often lost. sheâd loved RICK deeply. sheâd admired him, and sheâd learn many of her admirable leadership qualities from the man. but at the wrong times, he often wore his rose-colored glasses. as did GLENN, for that matter. âhey,â maggie continued dismissively, but her tone remained WARM. âbe gentle with yourself,â she said then, often not realizing that the words of her blonde-headed sister were pulling from her lips. âyouâve got a handsome smile.â there were several attractive qualities that daryl possessed, in maggieâs mind. besides the clear integrity of his character, as well as his other compelling personality traits, the male was broad-shouldered. he was strong. he possessed handsome features, and yes-- a glowing smile, when he rarely elected to show it off to the world. or rather, to maggie and her son. âiâm already always smilinâ âcause of you, dixon,â maggie continued, good humor and happiness swimming in her brightening eyes as she spoke. âi mentioned the WEED âcause itâs n e w.â of course, she was teasing. she hadnât smoked weed since high school. not that she wasnât tempted to numb out from time to time. and she had been, over the years. maggieâs grin softened, but did not disappear, as the mood shifted, and she unknowingly began to rub the back of his forearm with one of her thumbs, once contact had been made between their skins. at his word-- YOU-- maggie felt her heart leap into her throat. this was a long time coming, she thought to herself. how long had she hoped that he would speak of what she knew was there? there would be time for the processing of more complex emotions and ideas. but now, all maggie wanted was this confirmation. this MUTUAL confirmation. both members of the pair deserved that much, and then some, too. âiâve been thinkinâ about you, and about US, too,â she decided to respond. there were a thousand of things that maggie could have elected to say. but these words felt the safest. she knew that he would not run away, or be overly frightened, by a confession that heâd shared himself. âin fact, iâve been thinkinâ about us for some time now.â brown hues connected with brown hues. maggie had nerves, but they did not flash across her expression. âdoes that frighten you?âÂ
