Icon Tutorial by quirkyresources Hi! A sweet anon asked me to make a tutorial on how I make my icons. So here it is! Please like/reblog if this helped at all! I use Photoshop CC, but I think any version of PS will do. This tutorial is in English.

Find screencaps/photos
Open in Photoshop
Cut the background out (I’ll show multiple methods)
Use the eraser tool to clean it up
Crop
Add a PSD or color it yourself
Make hair/clothes/etc. more vibrant with the paintbrush tool
Sharpen and add blurred outline
Add a solid color background(s)
Optional: add gradient
Optional: add texture
Save as PNG
