"Alright, little pup. Ready to hear my escape plan for you..?"

Jason had taken to pulling his mattress over towards the edge of his cage, dragging it bit by bit towards Seer as they'd spoken.. It felt a bit nicer having someone in view, even if she couldn't see him back... He'd kept his void fed, to the point that it was starting to become a little uncomfortable to compress it inside himself again.. He'd bare it easily as he had before.

He was half asleep by the time they'd gotten around to it, sitting up in the bed with a yawn..

It's going to die.

It tried desperately to stand, the surge of pain shooting all the way up it's hip. It was to have such a high pain tolerance, but it's been so long since it's been hurt.

"WHY..."

Seer managed to stand before the drone did- and she had been the one in worse shape.

"Where... where does your guardian usually stay, Jason..? Any places he frequents...?"

His attention quickly turned to Seer though, distracted by her sudden recovery.. She really did heal quick... Faster than he was recovering, too... He was a bit jealous.. Jason needed more sugar to get something like that.

She ended up stumbling forward, catching herself by gripping Jason's shoulder. Everything is going to keep feeling like hellfire until she gets even more soulmatter, but this isn't a safe spot to just sit and do it...

Seer shot a multi-eyed glare towards the drone.

"Azmos.... I think I remember that place.... it's been a long time, but if it's still in the same spot, then we can probably just mooch around for a bit... Newton's always been kind to-"

She furrowed her brows, squinting her eyes- seeing into it.

"It.. It's always been like that..."

He shifted a little to hold her up better...

"You can take more soulmatter if you want it.. I uh.. Maybe they'll let me put it on a tab... And I can get something for us..? "

She stayed still for a bit- stupid... why would she have expected that the world would stay still for her? She was in there for so long, of course things would change...

"....we'll need to get out of the open first. This place isn't frequented often since it's the gateway to the lightside, but... I... don't like being near the opening. Angels like to take potshots sometimes."

She glared back at the drone, which had stayed bitterly quiet for now. It still wouldn't take it's hand off its leg, but it wasn't crying as much- it maybe ran out of fluid, or finally tired itself out..

"I uh.. there's clothes somewhere... ugh-" he reached into his chest, rooting around in there before he managed to pull out an intact set of clothes... The same he'd been wearing before his form had shifted.

"They're pretty big um.. Maybe we could get a jacket later or something... They'd be fine for rags too-" he offered the drone his shirt and pants with a half grin, at least.. trying to be nice-

It's decided atleast to try to communicate with the other. If it can get into a good predicament maybe it could find a way home. This can't be how it gets cast out forever...

"I DONT NEED TO CONSUME RIGHT NOW."

He turned back to Seer again, and then turned his head away...

The Seer focussed in on that name as they talked, and then instantly brought her hand to her face with a groan.

"A pornstar. A FAMOUS pornstar. That's the only contact you have down here?"

Seer sighed quietly- this was so difficult... she almost thought it'd be a homestretch after freedom. She forgot there's no where else for her to go to...

"I um.. we didn't even have sex- I.. I just.. um.. We met once-" he mumbled..

"Security.. Right.. I uh.. you're- " he seemed to click two pieces together in his mind in that instant.

Seer rubs her head bitterly, trying to think.

He seemed a bit down at that news, but not as mad as someone normal might be. He was used to being treated badly enough... It was expected. Jason looked up again as Seer continued.

"Home..? No- I.. He'd go home once it was over- Seege was with him... He wouldn't do that to the kid... He's a good.. uh.. guardian- he's just not... that kind of person I don't think.. It's usually pretty permanent it seemed... "

Jason scratched at his jaw, taking a deep breath..

"Alright, little pup. Ready to hear my escape plan for you..?"

She smiled, pressing a finger against her bandaging.

"You remember how I told you... that I also seem to lack the ability to die..? I believe I mentioned... that I am also able to heal most injuries rather quickly. Alas, They have been borderline starving me here to prevent that... If my eyes were to regenerate, they would have no chance. Ahah.... So here comes to my plan.."

She tilts her head.

"I don't think I've ever seen the end of it.. Sy- My.. guardian eats his fill and then.. the other takes theirs.. "

He sized up the barriers between them.. Bars he could stick his hand through. It might be better to try a tendril first, perhaps..

She sighed as she showed the other her palms- They were covered in thick scar tissue and calluses.

He stuck at first a finger through the barrier, acclimating himself before he went any further.. Once he'd determined exactly how much it was going to hurt, he stuck his entire arm through, reaching across with no more than a small hiss in his breath..

Seer also stuck her arm out, grimacing just a little once it passed where she usually burnt. She had her arm up to her shoulder to finally make contact with the guy. She interlocked fingers, bristling with the contact.

The fed a whole lot quicker than Sylvester did, that's for sure. His feeding always was slow and loving, paced out so he didn't take too much at once and minimized any discomfort. This was not one of those lovey dovey moments between lovers. This was a transaction, and it had to be made quickly before they were seen.

It was a bit exhilarating really, like a tightening in his chest. It wasn't too bad though, just a bit more desperate than Sylvester did, or even Seege for that matter.

Once she got enough to complete the job, she slumped back, giving a soft shaky laugh and a low groan.

"F-felt nice- um.. hhaha..." he trailed off awkwardly, trying to pretend that it wasn't maybe the best thing he'd felt since being thrown in here... He was starting to get a little desperate for stimuli after so long...

"I'll figure things out once I've got a bit more of my strength back... You just sit back and-"

The door opens to the cellblock.

Seer quiets up, sitting back a bit further in her cell. The other darksiders did the same..

Jason could see a familiar figure walking into the room, pushing a cart covered in a little white tarp. It was a drone- the same kind of drone that attacked him back in the darkside. The same type of drone that seperated him from his guardian.

He was glad he hadn't fully recovered yet, knowing exactly what time it was would've gotten his void agitated.. And a wagging tail wasn't what he wanted right now... He did very much so want sugar though. It was a constant craving when he'd gotten out of a lethal injury.

Since Jason was the closest to the cellblock door, he just happened to be first.

The thing bent down, craning it's head forward to get a good look at who had been inside. It's slightly messied wings stayed pinned to its back- duller in color than the other drones had been.

".... Jason :)"

"Ah.." He looked down at the bowl, realizing there was just one... It wasn't enough at all to fill him up, just to maintain his insides from eating him alive. The spoon was kinda nice though. He could chew on that and at least pretend he had food... Maybe this one could be reasoned with..

"Were you..... Supposed.... to get another bowl :( ?"

"I uh... It's probably not your fault..."

Was it fucking crying..?

The thing brought it's wing up to quickly wipe the ichor from it's hull, a tremble in it's hand.

"Right. Yes. Foolish of me. Of.. course you would get the regular stuff too."

And so instead of continuing it's way down the cellblock, it rushed out the way it came, shutting the barrier behind it and going to presumably get him a bowl of the usual darksider feed.

It was silent for a few seconds...

"I.. I uh.. I think so- I didn't really mean to... just.. I uh-"

A sense of dread crept over his shoulder.. He'd just wanted to not starve.. It wasn't the drones fault..

She sat against the wall a bit, head tilted quietly to the side

"It might get yelled at later for taking more food then it was told, but that's about it. For some reason they never kill off Drones themselves... they don't want to send that one out though since it'd be easier for the darksiders to learn a weakness. So its.... just on food duty."

A gentle sigh escaped her lips.

He still remembered being burned.. He'd sort of thought that was just how.. bright they were. It was at least kind of comforting that it wasn't just his body being freakishly easy to injure.

"No uh.. no ichor though... I don't know what they think I'm doing with this... tiny amount of sugar... I'm still at least kind of human..." he mumbled the last part, obviously a sore point for the mutt.. He really, really wanted to believe that he was... somewhere, maybe deeper down than most people, but somewhere.

Seer seems to be staying a bit further away from the bars than usual. She's perhaps saving her strength, keeping as much of that soulmatter as possible directed to healing instead of movement.

"....Try not to keep that sentiment, okay? The only reason it's not out there killing more of us every Hellfrost is because of that hull injury it got. If a weakened drone got sent out that we could kill easier, more of us would learn how to do it. I can't imagine how many it's probably killed of us.."

"Yeah.. yeah I guess so..."

He took a glance at the drone as it arrived, all too happy for the distraction.. Jason would take advantage of the doubling food situation as long as he could-

"... My designation is 202."

Jason took his time eating now, trying not to gag on the texture... It was really all he had to do with himself though, he wanted to make it last. Even if it wasn't good.

But the blood on.her bandaging was already gone- years worth of old crusted over blood rejuvenated and added back to her form. Regaining her eyes and vision would probably take a while...

Before 202 left, it walked up to Seer's cell. It crouched down, looking into it intently. It outstretched a palm to her, and she reluctantly returned her plastic spoon once she was done eating.

They don't even trust her with that...

Once it was gone, she chuckled a little.

He held onto his a little defensively when 202 passed him by. Relaxing his shoulders as it didn't ask for it back. He didn't ask for much, did he?

She leans back, quietly sitting against the concrete portion of her cell. And she waited, saving all of her energy into healing.

"Ohh.. Onebowl," he murmured, voice still thick with sleep.. "Thamks..."

He ate his bowl on the mattress, not exactly savoring, but analyzing each bite. It tasted almost exactly the same.. Jason wondered if it was even possible for him to benefit from the soul matter in the food he'd heard so much about. He was pretty close to one, Sylvie had implied...

It followed along quietly, delivering the other meals to the prisoners- when it got to Seer's cell however, it seemed to hesitate.... It... didn't feel right for some reason.

It observed how she looked at it- and... it... it looked as if she were staring right through it. But that had to be possible. It's not like she could see it- not only with her injuries, but the bandages had to keep her from seeing too...

It took a shuddering breath and pushed her food through the bars, moving on.

Seer just pushed her food off to the side, not paying any mind to it.... she wasn't going to need it.

He sat up a little straighter, his heart kicking up a beat. Right. It was time. They were leaving. He tried to look awake, at least.

Seer had done... something, it was rather quick. It looked like she had smacked the drone down with some sort of red burst- and it happened to aim perfectly at that damn remote clipped to his side, sending a signal that opened three cages that were close together, the middle one including Jason's

The next thing Jason knew was he was running down the corridor with Seer leading. At this point in time, she had wripped off those ancient bandaging, and she was sporting 8 mostly healed eyes. They were blurry, but she could see enough in front of her and in front of time to calculate most of what needed to happen.

She didn't calculate it, however, with the addition of the fucking drone that Jason had decided to carry with.

Finally, he could get rid of his weaker form again. He pounced and held the guard in both paws, muffling it's struggles entirely as he manhandled it.

He carried it right along with them, his tail trailing behind him with every bound he took right behind Seer...

But his ears folded backwards, sheepishly looking up at the demon, despite now being again rather taller than his human form...

"I- I couldn't get the keys off! Paws- shapes are hard under pressure!" he tried to defend himself, still holding the struggling drone like it was nothing but a sack of flour.. It did burn though. So much light this close to his void was uncomfortable... He couldn't help that though...

"A-and they're rude to him! Maybe we can use it's uh.. help.. Or something-"

She grunts, bashing the weight of her body into the next door as hard as she could, centered into her shoulder blade.

"KILLING US." She huffed out, keeping forward on foot.

The thing tried desperately to flap it's dull wings, a caged bird with dripping ichor from it's hull in fear. It didn't seem like it meant to be hurting Jason, but it can't control it's oversensitive core.

"IS THIS BECAUSE OF. MY FEEDING? YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE FOOD, DID YOU? YOU HATED IT, DIDNT YOU. JAY-SON? :("

"FOCUS!" Seer barked, huffing as she kept up the pace- it's been decades since she's ran. This has to be taking a toll on her.

"There is a guard at the right corridor, You need to turn left. It's coming up. NOW NOW!"

He threw himself left at the last possible minute, almost too busy listening to the drone to hear her warning.. Jason slapped his paw over the drones face to muffle the rest of its sniffling.

"Well I can't just- hha.. I can't just leave it- or let it go!" he whispered in his defense..

She was huffing, her brain running quick and rushed. The woman that was leading this escapade had not used these powers in a long time, and was very rusty- not only had she not predicted this timeline of events with Jason holding a fucking drone, she can't be certain that she could predict the drones actions.. it had suddenly gotten so much more complicated.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If this didn't work she would NEVER have another chance. There would never be another inbetween in the damn cells. She would be put in solitary. She would never-

"DUCK-!"

A sudden blast of light comes down the hallway, catching Seer's shoulder and slicing through it pretty easily. The drone let out a loud clicking noise, the locked up plates of it's head trying to guard itself.

He barely avoided the shot, his heart leaping into his throat as his void pulled him aside before the light could so much as graze him.

"God- I.. I'm sorry- " he whined, squeezing the drone in his arms a little..

"I'm fine, save it for when we're out of here-! Just keep that thing from slowing you down-!"

She kept moving, trying to not let her pain interrupt her momentum. She's experienced worse than this- and the freedom will be sweet. She's just gotta plan this... it's gotta be as good as possible. It's hard enough seeing the future of two peoples escape, let alone three.

It wasn't easy preventing that thing from slowing him down. The drone was flapping around it's wings, and the ichor it was leaking in a panic was not helping... maybe he could knock it out?

Eventually after the winding twists and turns, they made it outside- but it wasn't time to celebrate yet. As soon as they stepped out Seer let out a loud hiss, the bright surrounding area burning her many retinas and the epidermis of her skin

"Fuck-! Keep going, there's gonna be a drop off area, you can't miss it-!"

"C-can you just stay put-! I'm not going to- AGH-" he caught a wing to his muzzle.

"You'll be fine just- stop- squirming-" he finally had enough of this thing in his arms, closing his jaws right over its head.

Jason tilted his head back, opening his throat to let the drone slide right down his gullet until it hit his fake stomach. Just spit, but it still drenched the drone pretty quickly as it was crammed down with a couple of swallows. It felt a lot like swallowing hot oil. Instantly he could feel his insides resist keeping it down.

Jason gagged a few times, pointedly keeping his muzzle shut before he won the fight against his own body.

Seer had quickly stopped barking commands at the thing, her mouth shutting hard and tense as her eyes just tried to focus ahead of herself. They were wide... terrified. Disgusted.

Why the fuck did he do that instead of just dropping it

How did he do that?

Quickly they came up upon what looked to be just... an end. The floor suddenly gave away to something that looked like a cliff- except upon further examination, it was just a giant, perfect sphere of a hole...

His body was far too thick to even show that he'd eaten a single thing, but his face definitely gave away how painful it was- His snout was crinkled and his eyes were watering.

The second he saw the hole he slid to a stop, perched right above the gap in the ground- Jason gave it a once over, peeking behind his back.. Some other way.. there probably was no other way.

Her face was pained against the inertia, eyes burning from the wind against her eyes- but she remained focused just enough..

"THIS IS GONNA HURT..."

She quickly forced her body to spin to the side, leaving her underneath the other- she was planning on taking most of the blow.

The ground was getting closer.

Closer, now they could make out details of the streets below.

The people who looked like ants from her beginning to seem less so.

Seer closed her eyes, braced herself-

His body felt like it was burning from the inside and being shredded from the outside. He couldn't even speak before the air rushing past them took his breath away- Seer was smaller than him- Wasn't she? How was she going to handle him falling on top of her?! He can't get much smaller- Jason was panicking, he could have tanked the falls.. He'd fallen from worse things before- probably... This didn't have to be so-

The wind got knocked right out of him as he hit the ground, feeling parts of his body break and recoil from the shock that dispersed through him. The void kept him safer than Seer had probably known... But his huge body had landed right on top of her-

There was a thick puddle of what looked to be black tar all around, sticking to his back in fact... Blood.

It was a disgusting sight. Her body was warped and twisted, like all the bones in her body had been smashed and pushed around all at once.. it was a straight up miracle she was still breathing...

Then, the bones and viscera began to move in twine, the flesh painfully forcing itself together with sickening crackles and pops. A horrible squelching noise echoed from her form as it tried to put itself back together in a rush. The process took about 10 minutes.

After everything had been put back together, even most of the blood being sucked back into her veins and arteries-

She sat up with wide eyes, choking on fluid in her lungs until she spat up the leftover viscera in her airways.

That must of been what she meant by "save it" when he offered her soulmatter... she planned this from the beginning.

He could feel the snapping of bones back in place, his spine popping with a horrible noise that sent shocks down his body. Finally, just as Seer was recovered, his body shook violently as it tried again in vain to disgorge the drone burning up his insides-

Jason barely had the time to lean against a nearby wall before his paws were against the ground, retching, coughing up dark black blood that smeared against the ground. His body convulsed all over, shaking his body, tightening and recoiling all at once from the poison inside it that he'd forced down his throat-

Finally his throat bulged slightly as he retched again, coughing and sputtering when finally the curled ball of drone was evicted from his insides. It wasn't the end of it though. Jason hacked and heaved, spitting up the ichor, separate and unmixed between the globs of black void that was being shed from his insides as if it had been cleaved straight from his body.

"OH LORD, LIGHT OF LIFE, TRUE GOD ABOVE ALL-" It echoed out in a pained slurry. The man's insides weren't enough to completely cushion it from the fall- evident with the large crack that now spread from it's ankle all the way up it's thigh.

Seer watched him with a horrible wince, her head rushing from lightheadedness and lack of bloodflow, her lungs heaving with strain to get in enough oxygen.

She hated this. It was disgusting, wretched- the area was far too hot to what she was now used to. But she could feel the ground against her barren skin, her fingertips as raw as they are against soft grasses...

She had forgotten all of this. This familiar smell to it all... her raw eyes finally given the darkness they need to recover

"Sorry... I under.. hhg.. stand if you don't want... to stay. Soulmatter here- " he barely got the words out before his throat seemed to buckle a little. There were still tears in his eyes from the pain that was starting now to settle...

It took her a bit to process what she was being told.

"....I pp...promised I'd help you find your guardian..."

She spoke slowly, trying to not let her exhaustion and pain slip into her voice.

The drone kept praying off in the distance, staring up at the light beaming from above that it could no longer reach. It had its hands clasped together, begging to be saved from the pain it's leg was in.

But he needed to. This was his fault anyways...

Jason slowly dredged the will to stand again from his inner body, barely managing to sit down a small distance from the drone... He studied it for a moment.. This was his responsibility now, huh.. He had to at least offer it.. His breath rattled in his throat slightly as he spoke to it..

Did it do something wrong...? No... if it did something wrong, this was way worse of a punishment than it could possibly have deserved...

"IF THIS.... IS OVER MESSING UP YOUR FOOD.. THIS- THIS IS A BIT MUCH."

He cowered slightly, tucking his tail against himself a little tighter.. Jason couldn't exactly come up with a good explanation other than that this was all a huge mistake...

"TAKE ME HOME."

It glances to Jason

"PLEASE."

An impossible request.

The floor where it sat had gotten wet with mucus and drool, along with that golden hue of ichor. It was slowly drying off just due to its heat and brightness...

He rubbed at his ear on one side, apologetically lowering his head.. Jason couldn't do that in a million years.. Not if he wanted to avoid going back to that jail cell again...

"Alright, little pup. Ready to hear my escape plan for you..?"

Jason had taken to pulling his mattress over towards the edge of his cage, dragging it bit by bit towards Seer as they'd spoken.. It felt a bit nicer having someone in view, even if she couldn't see him back... He'd kept his void fed, to the point that it was starting to become a little uncomfortable to compress it inside himself again.. He'd bare it easily as he had before.

He was half asleep by the time they'd gotten around to it, sitting up in the bed with a yawn..

She smiled, pressing a finger against her bandaging.

"You remember how I told you... that I also seem to lack the ability to die..? I believe I mentioned... that I am also able to heal most injuries rather quickly. Alas, They have been borderline starving me here to prevent that... If my eyes were to regenerate, they would have no chance. Ahah.... So here comes to my plan.."

She tilts her head.

"I don't think I've ever seen the end of it.. Sy- My.. guardian eats his fill and then.. the other takes theirs.. "

He sized up the barriers between them.. Bars he could stick his hand through. It might be better to try a tendril first, perhaps..

She sighed as she showed the other her palms- They were covered in thick scar tissue and calluses.

He stuck at first a finger through the barrier, acclimating himself before he went any further.. Once he'd determined exactly how much it was going to hurt, he stuck his entire arm through, reaching across with no more than a small hiss in his breath..

Seer also stuck her arm out, grimacing just a little once it passed where she usually burnt. She had her arm up to her shoulder to finally make contact with the guy. She interlocked fingers, bristling with the contact.

The fed a whole lot quicker than Sylvester did, that's for sure. His feeding always was slow and loving, paced out so he didn't take too much at once and minimized any discomfort. This was not one of those lovey dovey moments between lovers. This was a transaction, and it had to be made quickly before they were seen.

It was a bit exhilarating really, like a tightening in his chest. It wasn't too bad though, just a bit more desperate than Sylvester did, or even Seege for that matter.

Once she got enough to complete the job, she slumped back, giving a soft shaky laugh and a low groan.

"F-felt nice- um.. hhaha..." he trailed off awkwardly, trying to pretend that it wasn't maybe the best thing he'd felt since being thrown in here... He was starting to get a little desperate for stimuli after so long...

"I'll figure things out once I've got a bit more of my strength back... You just sit back and-"

Jason could see a familiar figure walking into the room, pushing a cart covered in a little white tarp. It was a drone- the same kind of drone that attacked him back in the darkside. The same type of drone that seperated him from his guardian.

He was glad he hadn't fully recovered yet, knowing exactly what time it was would've gotten his void agitated.. And a wagging tail wasn't what he wanted right now... He did very much so want sugar though. It was a constant craving when he'd gotten out of a lethal injury.

The second he saw the hole he slid to a stop, perched right above the gap in the ground- Jason gave it a once over, peeking behind his back.. Some other way.. there probably was no other way.

Her face was pained against the inertia, eyes burning from the wind against her eyes- but she remained focused just enough..

The ground was getting closer.

Closer, now they could make out details of the streets below.

The people who looked like ants from her beginning to seem less so.

Seer closed her eyes, braced herself-

His body felt like it was burning from the inside and being shredded from the outside. He couldn't even speak before the air rushing past them took his breath away- Seer was smaller than him- Wasn't she? How was she going to handle him falling on top of her?! He can't get much smaller- Jason was panicking, he could have tanked the falls.. He'd fallen from worse things before- probably... This didn't have to be so-

The wind got knocked right out of him as he hit the ground, feeling parts of his body break and recoil from the shock that dispersed through him. The void kept him safer than Seer had probably known... But his huge body had landed right on top of her-

There was a thick puddle of what looked to be black tar all around, sticking to his back in fact... Blood.

It was a disgusting sight. Her body was warped and twisted, like all the bones in her body had been smashed and pushed around all at once.. it was a straight up miracle she was still breathing...

Then, the bones and viscera began to move in twine, the flesh painfully forcing itself together with sickening crackles and pops. A horrible squelching noise echoed from her form as it tried to put itself back together in a rush. The process took about 10 minutes.

After everything had been put back together, even most of the blood being sucked back into her veins and arteries-

She sat up with wide eyes, choking on fluid in her lungs until she spat up the leftover viscera in her airways.

That must of been what she meant by "save it" when he offered her soulmatter... she planned this from the beginning.

He could feel the snapping of bones back in place, his spine popping with a horrible noise that sent shocks down his body. Finally, just as Seer was recovered, his body shook violently as it tried again in vain to disgorge the drone burning up his insides-

Jason barely had the time to lean against a nearby wall before his paws were against the ground, retching, coughing up dark black blood that smeared against the ground. His body convulsed all over, shaking his body, tightening and recoiling all at once from the poison inside it that he'd forced down his throat-

Finally his throat bulged slightly as he retched again, coughing and sputtering when finally the curled ball of drone was evicted from his insides. It wasn't the end of it though. Jason hacked and heaved, spitting up the ichor, separate and unmixed between the globs of black void that was being shed from his insides as if it had been cleaved straight from his body.

"OH LORD, LIGHT OF LIFE, TRUE GOD ABOVE ALL-" It echoed out in a pained slurry. The man's insides weren't enough to completely cushion it from the fall- evident with the large crack that now spread from it's ankle all the way up it's thigh.

Seer watched him with a horrible wince, her head rushing from lightheadedness and lack of bloodflow, her lungs heaving with strain to get in enough oxygen.

She hated this. It was disgusting, wretched- the area was far too hot to what she was now used to. But she could feel the ground against her barren skin, her fingertips as raw as they are against soft grasses...

She had forgotten all of this. This familiar smell to it all... her raw eyes finally given the darkness they need to recover

"Sorry... I under.. hhg.. stand if you don't want... to stay. Soulmatter here- " he barely got the words out before his throat seemed to buckle a little. There were still tears in his eyes from the pain that was starting now to settle...

It took her a bit to process what she was being told.

"....I pp...promised I'd help you find your guardian..."

She spoke slowly, trying to not let her exhaustion and pain slip into her voice.

The drone kept praying off in the distance, staring up at the light beaming from above that it could no longer reach. It had its hands clasped together, begging to be saved from the pain it's leg was in.

But he needed to. This was his fault anyways...

Jason slowly dredged the will to stand again from his inner body, barely managing to sit down a small distance from the drone... He studied it for a moment.. This was his responsibility now, huh.. He had to at least offer it.. His breath rattled in his throat slightly as he spoke to it..

Did it do something wrong...? No... if it did something wrong, this was way worse of a punishment than it could possibly have deserved...

"IF THIS.... IS OVER MESSING UP YOUR FOOD.. THIS- THIS IS A BIT MUCH."

He cowered slightly, tucking his tail against himself a little tighter.. Jason couldn't exactly come up with a good explanation other than that this was all a huge mistake...

"Alright, little pup. Ready to hear my escape plan for you..?"

Jason had taken to pulling his mattress over towards the edge of his cage, dragging it bit by bit towards Seer as they'd spoken.. It felt a bit nicer having someone in view, even if she couldn't see him back... He'd kept his void fed, to the point that it was starting to become a little uncomfortable to compress it inside himself again.. He'd bare it easily as he had before.

He was half asleep by the time they'd gotten around to it, sitting up in the bed with a yawn..

She smiled, pressing a finger against her bandaging.

"You remember how I told you... that I also seem to lack the ability to die..? I believe I mentioned... that I am also able to heal most injuries rather quickly. Alas, They have been borderline starving me here to prevent that... If my eyes were to regenerate, they would have no chance. Ahah.... So here comes to my plan.."

She tilts her head.

"I don't think I've ever seen the end of it.. Sy- My.. guardian eats his fill and then.. the other takes theirs.. "

He sized up the barriers between them.. Bars he could stick his hand through. It might be better to try a tendril first, perhaps..

She sighed as she showed the other her palms- They were covered in thick scar tissue and calluses.

He stuck at first a finger through the barrier, acclimating himself before he went any further.. Once he'd determined exactly how much it was going to hurt, he stuck his entire arm through, reaching across with no more than a small hiss in his breath..

Seer also stuck her arm out, grimacing just a little once it passed where she usually burnt. She had her arm up to her shoulder to finally make contact with the guy. She interlocked fingers, bristling with the contact.

The fed a whole lot quicker than Sylvester did, that's for sure. His feeding always was slow and loving, paced out so he didn't take too much at once and minimized any discomfort. This was not one of those lovey dovey moments between lovers. This was a transaction, and it had to be made quickly before they were seen.

It was a bit exhilarating really, like a tightening in his chest. It wasn't too bad though, just a bit more desperate than Sylvester did, or even Seege for that matter.

Once she got enough to complete the job, she slumped back, giving a soft shaky laugh and a low groan.

"F-felt nice- um.. hhaha..." he trailed off awkwardly, trying to pretend that it wasn't maybe the best thing he'd felt since being thrown in here... He was starting to get a little desperate for stimuli after so long...

"I'll figure things out once I've got a bit more of my strength back... You just sit back and-"

The door opens to the cellblock.

Seer quiets up, sitting back a bit further in her cell. The other darksiders did the same..

Jason could see a familiar figure walking into the room, pushing a cart covered in a little white tarp. It was a drone- the same kind of drone that attacked him back in the darkside. The same type of drone that seperated him from his guardian.

He was glad he hadn't fully recovered yet, knowing exactly what time it was would've gotten his void agitated.. And a wagging tail wasn't what he wanted right now... He did very much so want sugar though. It was a constant craving when he'd gotten out of a lethal injury.

Since Jason was the closest to the cellblock door, he just happened to be first.

The thing bent down, craning it's head forward to get a good look at who had been inside. It's slightly messied wings stayed pinned to its back- duller in color than the other drones had been.

".... Jason :)"

"Ah.." He looked down at the bowl, realizing there was just one... It wasn't enough at all to fill him up, just to maintain his insides from eating him alive. The spoon was kinda nice though. He could chew on that and at least pretend he had food... Maybe this one could be reasoned with..

"Were you..... Supposed.... to get another bowl :( ?"

"I uh... It's probably not your fault..."

Was it fucking crying..?

The thing brought it's wing up to quickly wipe the ichor from it's hull, a tremble in it's hand.

"Right. Yes. Foolish of me. Of.. course you would get the regular stuff too."

And so instead of continuing it's way down the cellblock, it rushed out the way it came, shutting the barrier behind it and going to presumably get him a bowl of the usual darksider feed.

It was silent for a few seconds...

"I.. I uh.. I think so- I didn't really mean to... just.. I uh-"

A sense of dread crept over his shoulder.. He'd just wanted to not starve.. It wasn't the drones fault..

She sat against the wall a bit, head tilted quietly to the side

"It might get yelled at later for taking more food then it was told, but that's about it. For some reason they never kill off Drones themselves... they don't want to send that one out though since it'd be easier for the darksiders to learn a weakness. So its.... just on food duty."

A gentle sigh escaped her lips.

He still remembered being burned.. He'd sort of thought that was just how.. bright they were. It was at least kind of comforting that it wasn't just his body being freakishly easy to injure.

"No uh.. no ichor though... I don't know what they think I'm doing with this... tiny amount of sugar... I'm still at least kind of human..." he mumbled the last part, obviously a sore point for the mutt.. He really, really wanted to believe that he was... somewhere, maybe deeper down than most people, but somewhere.

Seer seems to be staying a bit further away from the bars than usual. She's perhaps saving her strength, keeping as much of that soulmatter as possible directed to healing instead of movement.

"....Try not to keep that sentiment, okay? The only reason it's not out there killing more of us every Hellfrost is because of that hull injury it got. If a weakened drone got sent out that we could kill easier, more of us would learn how to do it. I can't imagine how many it's probably killed of us.."

"Yeah.. yeah I guess so..."

He took a glance at the drone as it arrived, all too happy for the distraction.. Jason would take advantage of the doubling food situation as long as he could-

"... My designation is 202."

Jason took his time eating now, trying not to gag on the texture... It was really all he had to do with himself though, he wanted to make it last. Even if it wasn't good.

But the blood on.her bandaging was already gone- years worth of old crusted over blood rejuvenated and added back to her form. Regaining her eyes and vision would probably take a while...

Before 202 left, it walked up to Seer's cell. It crouched down, looking into it intently. It outstretched a palm to her, and she reluctantly returned her plastic spoon once she was done eating.

They don't even trust her with that...

Once it was gone, she chuckled a little.

He held onto his a little defensively when 202 passed him by. Relaxing his shoulders as it didn't ask for it back. He didn't ask for much, did he?

She leans back, quietly sitting against the concrete portion of her cell. And she waited, saving all of her energy into healing.

"Ohh.. Onebowl," he murmured, voice still thick with sleep.. "Thamks..."

He ate his bowl on the mattress, not exactly savoring, but analyzing each bite. It tasted almost exactly the same.. Jason wondered if it was even possible for him to benefit from the soul matter in the food he'd heard so much about. He was pretty close to one, Sylvie had implied...

It followed along quietly, delivering the other meals to the prisoners- when it got to Seer's cell however, it seemed to hesitate.... It... didn't feel right for some reason.

It observed how she looked at it- and... it... it looked as if she were staring right through it. But that had to be possible. It's not like she could see it- not only with her injuries, but the bandages had to keep her from seeing too...

It took a shuddering breath and pushed her food through the bars, moving on.

Seer just pushed her food off to the side, not paying any mind to it.... she wasn't going to need it.

He sat up a little straighter, his heart kicking up a beat. Right. It was time. They were leaving. He tried to look awake, at least.

Seer had done... something, it was rather quick. It looked like she had smacked the drone down with some sort of red burst- and it happened to aim perfectly at that damn remote clipped to his side, sending a signal that opened three cages that were close together, the middle one including Jason's

The next thing Jason knew was he was running down the corridor with Seer leading. At this point in time, she had wripped off those ancient bandaging, and she was sporting 8 mostly healed eyes. They were blurry, but she could see enough in front of her and in front of time to calculate most of what needed to happen.

She didn't calculate it, however, with the addition of the fucking drone that Jason had decided to carry with.

Finally, he could get rid of his weaker form again. He pounced and held the guard in both paws, muffling it's struggles entirely as he manhandled it.

He carried it right along with them, his tail trailing behind him with every bound he took right behind Seer...

But his ears folded backwards, sheepishly looking up at the demon, despite now being again rather taller than his human form...

"I- I couldn't get the keys off! Paws- shapes are hard under pressure!" he tried to defend himself, still holding the struggling drone like it was nothing but a sack of flour.. It did burn though. So much light this close to his void was uncomfortable... He couldn't help that though...

"A-and they're rude to him! Maybe we can use it's uh.. help.. Or something-"

She grunts, bashing the weight of her body into the next door as hard as she could, centered into her shoulder blade.

"KILLING US." She huffed out, keeping forward on foot.

The thing tried desperately to flap it's dull wings, a caged bird with dripping ichor from it's hull in fear. It didn't seem like it meant to be hurting Jason, but it can't control it's oversensitive core.

"IS THIS BECAUSE OF. MY FEEDING? YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE FOOD, DID YOU? YOU HATED IT, DIDNT YOU. JAY-SON? :("

"FOCUS!" Seer barked, huffing as she kept up the pace- it's been decades since she's ran. This has to be taking a toll on her.

"There is a guard at the right corridor, You need to turn left. It's coming up. NOW NOW!"

He threw himself left at the last possible minute, almost too busy listening to the drone to hear her warning.. Jason slapped his paw over the drones face to muffle the rest of its sniffling.

"Well I can't just- hha.. I can't just leave it- or let it go!" he whispered in his defense..

She was huffing, her brain running quick and rushed. The woman that was leading this escapade had not used these powers in a long time, and was very rusty- not only had she not predicted this timeline of events with Jason holding a fucking drone, she can't be certain that she could predict the drones actions.. it had suddenly gotten so much more complicated.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If this didn't work she would NEVER have another chance. There would never be another inbetween in the damn cells. She would be put in solitary. She would never-

She kept moving, trying to not let her pain interrupt her momentum. She's experienced worse than this- and the freedom will be sweet. She's just gotta plan this... it's gotta be as good as possible. It's hard enough seeing the future of two peoples escape, let alone three.

"Fuck-! Keep going, there's gonna be a drop off area, you can't miss it-!"

"C-can you just stay put-! I'm not going to- AGH-" he caught a wing to his muzzle.

"You'll be fine just- stop- squirming-" he finally had enough of this thing in his arms, closing his jaws right over its head.

Just spit, but it still drenched the drone pretty quickly as it was crammed down with a couple of swallows. It felt a lot like swallowing hot oil. Instantly he could feel his insides resist keeping it down.

Once it was gone, she chuckled a little.

He held onto his a little defensively when 202 passed him by. Relaxing his shoulders as it didn't ask for it back. He didn't ask for much, did he?

She leans back, quietly sitting against the concrete portion of her cell. And she waited, saving all of her energy into healing.

"Ohh.. Onebowl," he murmured, voice still thick with sleep.. "Thamks..."

He ate his bowl on the mattress, not exactly savoring, but analyzing each bite. It tasted almost exactly the same.. Jason wondered if it was even possible for him to benefit from the soul matter in the food he'd heard so much about. He was pretty close to one, Sylvie had implied...

It followed along quietly, delivering the other meals to the prisoners- when it got to Seer's cell however, it seemed to hesitate.... It... didn't feel right for some reason.

It observed how she looked at it- and... it... it looked as if she were staring right through it. But that had to be possible. It's not like she could see it- not only with her injuries, but the bandages had to keep her from seeing too...

It took a shuddering breath and pushed her food through the bars, moving on.

Seer just pushed her food off to the side, not paying any mind to it.... she wasn't going to need it.

Jason heard a little voice in his head

He sat up a little straighter, his heart kicking up a beat. Right. It was time. They were leaving. He tried to look awake, at least.

Seer had done... something, it was rather quick. It looked like she had smacked the drone down with some sort of red burst- and it happened to aim perfectly at that damn remote clipped to his side, sending a signal that opened three cages that were close together, the middle one including Jason's

The next thing Jason knew was he was running down the corridor with Seer leading. At this point in time, she had wripped off those ancient bandaging, and she was sporting 8 mostly healed eyes. They were blurry, but she could see enough in front of her and in front of time to calculate most of what needed to happen.

She didn't calculate it, however, with the addition of the fucking drone that Jason had decided to carry with.

Finally, he could get rid of his weaker form again. He pounced and held the guard in both paws, muffling it's struggles entirely as he manhandled it.

He carried it right along with them, his tail trailing behind him with every bound he took right behind Seer...

But his ears folded backwards, sheepishly looking up at the demon, despite now being again rather taller than his human form...

"I- I couldn't get the keys off! Paws- shapes are hard under pressure!" he tried to defend himself, still holding the struggling drone like it was nothing but a sack of flour.. It did burn though. So much light this close to his void was uncomfortable... He couldn't help that though...

"A-and they're rude to him! Maybe we can use it's uh.. help.. Or something-"

She grunts, bashing the weight of her body into the next door as hard as she could, centered into her shoulder blade.

"KILLING US." She huffed out, keeping forward on foot.

The thing tried desperately to flap it's dull wings, a caged bird with dripping ichor from it's hull in fear. It didn't seem like it meant to be hurting Jason, but it can't control it's oversensitive core.

"IS THIS BECAUSE OF. MY FEEDING? YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE FOOD, DID YOU? YOU HATED IT, DIDNT YOU. JAY-SON? :("

"FOCUS!" Seer barked, huffing as she kept up the pace- it's been decades since she's ran. This has to be taking a toll on her.

"There is a guard at the right corridor, You need to turn left. It's coming up. NOW NOW!"

He threw himself left at the last possible minute, almost too busy listening to the drone to hear her warning.. Jason slapped his paw over the drones face to muffle the rest of its sniffling.

"Well I can't just- hha.. I can't just leave it- or let it go!" he whispered in his defense..

She was huffing, her brain running quick and rushed. The woman that was leading this escapade had not used these powers in a long time, and was very rusty- not only had she not predicted this timeline of events with Jason holding a fucking drone, she can't be certain that she could predict the drones actions.. it had suddenly gotten so much more complicated.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If this didn't work she would NEVER have another chance. There would never be another inbetween in the damn cells. She would be put in solitary. She would never-

"DUCK-!"

A sudden blast of light comes down the hallway, catching Seer's shoulder and slicing through it pretty easily. The drone let out a loud clicking noise, the locked up plates of it's head trying to guard itself.

He barely avoided the shot, his heart leaping into his throat as his void pulled him aside before the light could so much as graze him.

"God- I.. I'm sorry- " he whined, squeezing the drone in his arms a little..

"I'm fine, save it for when we're out of here-! Just keep that thing from slowing you down-!"

She kept moving, trying to not let her pain interrupt her momentum. She's experienced worse than this- and the freedom will be sweet. She's just gotta plan this... it's gotta be as good as possible. It's hard enough seeing the future of two peoples escape, let alone three.

It wasn't easy preventing that thing from slowing him down. The drone was flapping around it's wings, and the ichor it was leaking in a panic was not helping... maybe he could knock it out?

Eventually after the winding twists and turns, they made it outside- but it wasn't time to celebrate yet. As soon as they stepped out Seer let out a loud hiss, the bright surrounding area burning her many retinas and the epidermis of her skin

"Fuck-! Keep going, there's gonna be a drop off area, you can't miss it-!"

"C-can you just stay put-! I'm not going to- AGH-" he caught a wing to his muzzle.

"You'll be fine just- stop- squirming-" he finally had enough of this thing in his arms, closing his jaws right over its head.

Jason tilted his head back, opening his throat to let the drone slide right down his gullet until it hit his fake stomach. Just spit, but it still drenched the drone pretty quickly as it was crammed down with a couple of swallows. It felt a lot like swallowing hot oil. Instantly he could feel his insides resist keeping it down.

Jason gagged a few times, pointedly keeping his muzzle shut before he won the fight against his own body.

Seer had quickly stopped barking commands at the thing, her mouth shutting hard and tense as her eyes just tried to focus ahead of herself. They were wide... terrified. Disgusted.

Why the fuck did he do that instead of just dropping it

Quickly they came up upon what looked to be just... an end. The floor suddenly gave away to something that looked like a cliff- except upon further examination, it was just a giant, perfect sphere of a hole...

His body was far too thick to even show that he'd eaten a single thing, but his face definitely gave away how painful it was- His snout was crinkled and his eyes were watering.

The second he saw the hole he slid to a stop, perched right above the gap in the ground- Jason gave it a once over, peeking behind his back.. Some other way.. there probably was no other way.

Her face was pained against the inertia, eyes burning from the wind against her eyes- but she remained focused just enough..

"THIS IS GONNA HURT..."

She quickly forced her body to spin to the side, leaving her underneath the other- she was planning on taking most of the blow.

The ground was getting closer.

Closer, now they could make out details of the streets below.

The people who looked like ants from her beginning to seem less so.

Seer closed her eyes, braced herself-

His body felt like it was burning from the inside and being shredded from the outside. He couldn't even speak before the air rushing past them took his breath away- Seer was smaller than him- Wasn't she? How was she going to handle him falling on top of her?! He can't get much smaller- Jason was panicking, he could have tanked the falls.. He'd fallen from worse things before- probably... This didn't have to be so-

The wind got knocked right out of him as he hit the ground, feeling parts of his body break and recoil from the shock that dispersed through him. The void kept him safer than Seer had probably known... But his huge body had landed right on top of her-

There was a thick puddle of what looked to be black tar all around, sticking to his back in fact... Blood.

It was a disgusting sight. Her body was warped and twisted, like all the bones in her body had been smashed and pushed around all at once.. it was a straight up miracle she was still breathing...

Then, the bones and viscera began to move in twine, the flesh painfully forcing itself together with sickening crackles and pops. A horrible squelching noise echoed from her form as it tried to put itself back together in a rush. The process took about 10 minutes.

After everything had been put back together, even most of the blood being sucked back into her veins and arteries-

She sat up with wide eyes, choking on fluid in her lungs until she spat up the leftover viscera in her airways.

That must of been what she meant by "save it" when he offered her soulmatter... she planned this from the beginning.

He could feel the snapping of bones back in place, his spine popping with a horrible noise that sent shocks down his body. Finally, just as Seer was recovered, his body shook violently as it tried again in vain to disgorge the drone burning up his insides-

Jason barely had the time to lean against a nearby wall before his paws were against the ground, retching, coughing up dark black blood that smeared against the ground. His body convulsed all over, shaking his body, tightening and recoiling all at once from the poison inside it that he'd forced down his throat-

Finally his throat bulged slightly as he retched again, coughing and sputtering when finally the curled ball of drone was evicted from his insides. It wasn't the end of it though. Jason hacked and heaved, spitting up the ichor, separate and unmixed between the globs of black void that was being shed from his insides as if it had been cleaved straight from his body.

"OH LORD, LIGHT OF LIFE, TRUE GOD ABOVE ALL-" It echoed out in a pained slurry. The man's insides weren't enough to completely cushion it from the fall- evident with the large crack that now spread from it's ankle all the way up it's thigh.

Seer watched him with a horrible wince, her head rushing from lightheadedness and lack of bloodflow, her lungs heaving with strain to get in enough oxygen.

She hated this. It was disgusting, wretched- the area was far too hot to what she was now used to. But she could feel the ground against her barren skin, her fingertips as raw as they are against soft grasses...

She had forgotten all of this. This familiar smell to it all... her raw eyes finally given the darkness they need to recover

"Sorry... I under.. hhg.. stand if you don't want... to stay. Soulmatter here- " he barely got the words out before his throat seemed to buckle a little. There were still tears in his eyes from the pain that was starting now to settle...

"Alright, little pup. Ready to hear my escape plan for you..?"

Jason had taken to pulling his mattress over towards the edge of his cage, dragging it bit by bit towards Seer as they'd spoken.. It felt a bit nicer having someone in view, even if she couldn't see him back... He'd kept his void fed, to the point that it was starting to become a little uncomfortable to compress it inside himself again.. He'd bare it easily as he had before.

He was half asleep by the time they'd gotten around to it, sitting up in the bed with a yawn..

She smiled, pressing a finger against her bandaging.

"You remember how I told you... that I also seem to lack the ability to die..? I believe I mentioned... that I am also able to heal most injuries rather quickly. Alas, They have been borderline starving me here to prevent that... If my eyes were to regenerate, they would have no chance. Ahah.... So here comes to my plan.."

She tilts her head.

"I don't think I've ever seen the end of it.. Sy- My.. guardian eats his fill and then.. the other takes theirs.. "

He sized up the barriers between them.. Bars he could stick his hand through. It might be better to try a tendril first, perhaps..

She sighed as she showed the other her palms- They were covered in thick scar tissue and calluses.

He stuck at first a finger through the barrier, acclimating himself before he went any further.. Once he'd determined exactly how much it was going to hurt, he stuck his entire arm through, reaching across with no more than a small hiss in his breath..

Seer also stuck her arm out, grimacing just a little once it passed where she usually burnt. She had her arm up to her shoulder to finally make contact with the guy. She interlocked fingers, bristling with the contact.

The fed a whole lot quicker than Sylvester did, that's for sure. His feeding always was slow and loving, paced out so he didn't take too much at once and minimized any discomfort. This was not one of those lovey dovey moments between lovers. This was a transaction, and it had to be made quickly before they were seen.

It was a bit exhilarating really, like a tightening in his chest. It wasn't too bad though, just a bit more desperate than Sylvester did, or even Seege for that matter.

Once she got enough to complete the job, she slumped back, giving a soft shaky laugh and a low groan.

"F-felt nice- um.. hhaha..." he trailed off awkwardly, trying to pretend that it wasn't maybe the best thing he'd felt since being thrown in here... He was starting to get a little desperate for stimuli after so long...

"I'll figure things out once I've got a bit more of my strength back... You just sit back and-"

The door opens to the cellblock.

Seer quiets up, sitting back a bit further in her cell. The other darksiders did the same..

Jason could see a familiar figure walking into the room, pushing a cart covered in a little white tarp. It was a drone- the same kind of drone that attacked him back in the darkside. The same type of drone that seperated him from his guardian.

He was glad he hadn't fully recovered yet, knowing exactly what time it was would've gotten his void agitated.. And a wagging tail wasn't what he wanted right now... He did very much so want sugar though. It was a constant craving when he'd gotten out of a lethal injury.

Since Jason was the closest to the cellblock door, he just happened to be first.

The thing bent down, craning it's head forward to get a good look at who had been inside. It's slightly messied wings stayed pinned to its back- duller in color than the other drones had been.

".... Jason :)"

"Ah.." He looked down at the bowl, realizing there was just one... It wasn't enough at all to fill him up, just to maintain his insides from eating him alive. The spoon was kinda nice though. He could chew on that and at least pretend he had food... Maybe this one could be reasoned with..

"Were you..... Supposed.... to get another bowl :( ?"

"I uh... It's probably not your fault..."

"Right. Yes. Foolish of me. Of.. course you would get the regular stuff too."

And so instead of continuing it's way down the cellblock, it rushed out the way it came, shutting the barrier behind it and going to presumably get him a bowl of the usual darksider feed.

It was silent for a few seconds...

"I.. I uh.. I think so- I didn't really mean to... just.. I uh-"

A sense of dread crept over his shoulder.. He'd just wanted to not starve.. It wasn't the drones fault..

She sat against the wall a bit, head tilted quietly to the side

"It might get yelled at later for taking more food then it was told, but that's about it. For some reason they never kill off Drones themselves... they don't want to send that one out though since it'd be easier for the darksiders to learn a weakness. So its.... just on food duty."

A gentle sigh escaped her lips.

He still remembered being burned.. He'd sort of thought that was just how.. bright they were. It was at least kind of comforting that it wasn't just his body being freakishly easy to injure.

"No uh.. no ichor though... I don't know what they think I'm doing with this... tiny amount of sugar... I'm still at least kind of human..." he mumbled the last part, obviously a sore point for the mutt.. He really, really wanted to believe that he was... somewhere, maybe deeper down than most people, but somewhere.

Seer seems to be staying a bit further away from the bars than usual. She's perhaps saving her strength, keeping as much of that soulmatter as possible directed to healing instead of movement.

"....Try not to keep that sentiment, okay? The only reason it's not out there killing more of us every Hellfrost is because of that hull injury it got. If a weakened drone got sent out that we could kill easier, more of us would learn how to do it. I can't imagine how many it's probably killed of us.."

"Yeah.. yeah I guess so..."
