The most unhealthy way possible, eat a bunch of sweets and slump on the couch to play video games.

She wanted to be in forensics! Too bad that didn’t work out huh.

I want to say she’s a mezzo but I can’t decide if her voice is there or somewhere a lil bit lower. Ema likes her voice and will sing, but only in private cause that’s embarrassing. 

how/what they like to draw or doodle

A huff followed by some furious munching could be heard from the desk of Ema Skye. Her notepad, pen and a few other things were sprawled across it, unable to concentrate at the moment to continue her writing. Work would take it’s toll on the detective every now and then, and this was one of those days. What she wouldn’t give for a short break to distract herself and unwind, if only her phone hadn’t been so low on battery. An exhale as she searches for it's charger, she feels the presence of someone excessively foppish nearby. For fucks sake, why now? she thinks. She does not turn to see as it get's closer, there's no need. Another snack is thrown into her mouth, munching loudly as she searches for the phone charger. 

Quietly Ema was working, scribbling away at her notepad notes and thoughts on a recent case she had been assigned to. Though as much as she despised her current situation with work, she was still a diligent worker nonetheless. Perhaps she was too concentrated, as she was oblivious to her surroundings. Due to her distraction she had carelessly bumped into someone, yet even then she did not lift her eyes from her notepad.

Though normally she would be exhausted at this time of the day, the smell of coffee in the air was enough to wake her up long enough to order and pick up a cup of some. Ema was always a busy person, almost never having even enough time for a lunch break. However things here were more forgiving, so she was at least able to grab a pick me up. As she walked, sipping her drink every now and then she noticed a strange girl had been standing nearby. There was something strange about her, but she couldn't determine what that was. The detective's curious mind was pushing her to go see what was up with her, but at the same time it would be better to avoid interacting with strange people. The plan to ignore and run however, backfired as the girl noticed her. Unsure what her move should be, Ema avoided eye contact and focused on her coffee.

Just as it was back in LA, people were constantly on the move. Groups of people moving to and fro, each headed for their own destination. Unfortunately for her, Ema was in the midst of said traffic of people. Trying her best to steer clear of them all, it seemed she was graced with luck as she could see a chance to escape. Pushing her way through she managed to successfully escape the crowd, or so she thought. Someone soon bumped into her which pushed her forward, both herself and her glasses falling onto the floor. Unable to contain her anger at the stranger, she gave them her signature scowl. 

Though they weren’t exactly her thing, Ema held a small bag of gummy bears in her hands. She had taken her welcome gifts graciously, at least the glasses would be useful- she needed a new pair anyway. The use of the gavel was beyond her, maybe hit people that annoyed her? She’d have to think about it. Opening the packet of sweets she took one and popped it into her mouth, at least these were a healthy alternative to her usual bag of snackoos. 

A piece of paper was held in her other hand, scribbled on it was the location of her apartment. She was perfectly fine with this new city, an apartment building that had a coffee shop next door? Sign her up. Though she would miss a few faces from back home, the detective believed she deserved a break from her life as well- a detective. Would she ever go back? No telling. Right now that wasn’t a concern. It wasn’t like anyone would miss her, well.. maybe save for Lana.

Coincidentally enough, a familiar siloutte had been spotted on her way to the Cappuccino Apartments. Curiosity abounding she quickly approached the figure, praying and hoping to whoever was up there that it be someone she actually liked. Once she caught a proper glimpse of that familiar yellow pin, a huge grin grew on her face.

Well what do you know..

Placing her arm on the girl's shoulder, Ema embraced herself the impending squeal and hug combination that would go down in a few seconds.

     Beyond Juniper Woods, Ema Skye was the first true best friend that Athena could name for herself. When times were solemn, they could find comfort and joy in each other and in the good times, they could have fun. Their careers interwove well but they did not define their relationship as they grew close through going out to eat in Europe and discussing all the less serious matters too. In her darkest hours, Ema had been light alongside Mr. Wright, and now Athena sought always to be the same. 

     “I am sure a place you recommend would be lovely. I still remember that little bed and breakfast we stumbled into when the rainstorm picked up… finding nice places to go with you was always a blast.” A reprieve from the near non-stop hours Athena clocked in with her studies and a little adventure to soothe her soul. “Are you set to head out now? I think my stomach just rumbled a bit.” And flashback to the countless times one of them had tugged the other out somewhere for one reason or another and allowed fun into the depths of their work.

Living abroad by yourself for months on end, alone, it was pretty lonely. Athena was the literal ray of sunshine during her time of studying. The many adventures they went on was enough to help her endure the hours she put her time into studying and doing school work, which was a lot. Sure the materials they studied gave them common ground and even a few of the same classes, but that alone was just a small contributor to their friendship.

“ Those places were always so fun weren’t they? It was so exciting, not having plans and just going wherever we wanted. ” One of the few surprises life had given her that she’d actually enjoyed, those unexpected happenings were highlights of their time together.
