Children of God, Hookers for Jesus

The Children of God was a dangerous sex cult founded by David Brandt Berg in 1968. Berg thought that there should be no limits around sex and backed this idea up by saying, “God loves sex because sex is love.” He promoted incest and sex with children because he believed that all humans were sexual beings. Female members of the cult were encouraged to recruit outside men by having sex with them. The cult called this process “flirty fishing” but the media referred to the women as “hookers for Jesus”. After many serious allegations were made against the cult in the late 70s, many members left. The remaining members restarted the movement as The Family of Love in 1978. The cult has  reorganized many times since then and is still active in 2018 under the title The Family International.

1.) Patrol Car

A. Prior to going on patrol in your vehicle, always check your backseat, underneath the seats, etc., for beverage bottles or any other possible weapons. Two Deputies are to transport Bundy. The driver of the vehicle may have his or her gunside exposed to the prisoner. Therefore, prior to picking him up, reverse your holster to the opposite side.

2.) Initial Contact With the Prisoner

A. It is known that Bundy has had alot of free time in the Garfield library where he possibly could obtain some type of weapon... Search him prior to placing him in your transport vehicle. Use maximum security handcuffs and ankle shackles. He moves only when you tell him to move. Don’t let him deceive you! Place him in the right front seat of the patrol car. The back-up Officer should be located in the left rear seat.

3.) Transporting the Prisoner

A. Be aware of what Bundy is doing at all times. The back-up Officer should keep his eyes on the prisoner at all times. He’s very perceptive; let him know you mean business! In transporting, don’t stop your patrol car between the Garfield County Jail and the P.C.S.O. unless it is necessary in normal traffic flow. In other words, don’t stop at the 7 Eleven, or make any other unnecessary stops. Take away all opportunities for him to escape.

4.) P.C.S.O. and County Courthouse

A. Be sure that at least two Deputies are with Bundy (I know, that’s repetitive). Keep your weapon secure whenever you’re within his reach. It is good to develop the habit of covering your gunside with your elbow and arm, or standing in a position that would make it very difficult for a prisoner to grab your weapon. Don’t permit anyone other than authorized personnel to approach him. The back-up Deputy should also keep an eye on the people in the surrounding area of Bundy. Remember, you’re not only guarding Bundy, you’re also responsible for the surroundings people.

B. If Bundy is in the booking room, remove any potential weapons from his immediate vicinity. Prior to his entering the District Court, check the drawers at the defendants table. Check the chair that he sits in. Be his shadow! Don’t even let him go to the bathroom alone!

17 year old Bianca Devins, an aspiring Instagram model who was murdered by a deranged family friend who then posted pictures of her dead body online, was laid to rest over the weekend in her hometown Utica, New York.

Her Obituary reads:

“Bianca M. Devins, 17, of Utica, gained her angel wings on Sunday, July 14, 2019. She was welcomed in Heaven by her beloved cat, Belle.

She was born on October 2, 2001, in New Hartford, a daughter of Michael and Kimberly Williams Devins. Bianca just recently graduated from Proctor High School on June 28, 2019. She was going to continue her education at MVCC this fall.

Bianca was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. She was an aspiring model, talented artist, and enjoyed playing the ukulele. Bianca also had a great love of animals especially her cats. Bianca will be remembered by her family and friends for her beautiful smile. Bianca was very caring and compassionate, and helped so many friends during their difficult times. Her passion, which she sought to pursue in her future career, was to help adolescents who struggle with mental illness.”

He discusses his parents buying him and his brother, Ryan, a hampster, his desire to have a farm when he grows older, participating in activities such as playing with toys and watching TV, planning to visit relatives, writing a letter to his grandmother, and wanting to be a hampster for Halloween.

Once my brother wanted a hampster, so I wanted one too. I keeped [sic] asking for one. Then my mom or dad promised I could have one. We went to the pet shop and bought a brown and white hampster. I want a farm more than anything else. I have a hunger for taking care of animals and planting. I wan [sic] a farm because it will make the animals happy. The plants would be happy and I will be happy. My mom knows I want a farm. So she let me buy 10 plants and let me have a garden and bought me a cow thing that I can stick into the soil. My mom also bought me pots so I could plant them on the porch. Right now I fell [sic] like I own a farm right now.

What I Did on Saturday

When it was Saturday I watched TV then went outside to play with my dad. First we played basket ball [sic]. Then it drizzld [sic] a little. We were in the garage. Then we did army of chalk. My dad made funny things like the silly bomb. It looked like a baby head. Then my dad plaed [sic] basket ball [sic] when I was still playing chalk.

Once I went to my reletives [sic] house. He is 15 and his name is Cris. His brother is 18 and his name is Josh. My reletives house is in Maine. We went to his camp. It was very late so wise went to bed. The next day my brother Ryan was playing with his things he packed. Me and Cris read a book. John wasn’t there because he doesn’t really go to his house anymore. Then we swam a little. Then played baseball then had lunch. Then we went to a crystal rock mine. Then we went to a resterant [sic]. Then we had more fun. Then I had a dream.

I am going to be a hampster this year for Halloween. Yesterday my mom got material because no stores sell hampster costumes. The head of the hampster will be like a hood for my head. There is this Halloween group where you split up with a partner to get candy. My partner is going to be a police man, so he may arrest me because I will not were a coller [sic].

Examining Shoe Prints And Tire Tracks 

Footwear and tire track evidence can be found at the majority of crime scenes. A perpetrator will always have to arrive, commit a crime and then leave the scene in a vehicle or on foot. 

This type of evidence can help investigators find out important information like where the crime occurred, how many people or vehicles were present, the direction the perpetrator could have travelled and if the scene is connected to other recent crimes.

Visible prints are transfers of a substance/material from the tire or shoe on to a surface. They can be seen with the naked eye. Example: muddy tire tracks or bloody boot print

Plastic prints are three-dimensional impressions left on a soft surface. These prints can be cast and preserved for later analysis. Example: tracks left in mud, snow or sand
