when u do things for ppl, watch how they respond. pay attention to how or if they even thank u. start discerning the way ppl react when u do things charitably for them, bc it not only says a lot about that person but also about what you’re allowing yourself to accept. not everybody deserves a generosity for the sake of being generous. some ppl have a very righteous and narcissistic way of receiving something, as if the universe owes them that. And they have no idea of which the channel that flows through, i.e YOU. so therefore they almost make u feel bad, or like u haven’t done enough, in the space of u being purposefully generous. ppl will always show u the signs, it’s just ups to u to read between the lines. it’s about how u feel, not how u WANT to feel. it’s about how u naturally feel after an act of service. and if u don’t feel like you’re supposed to, then u have to stop. bc doing something for somebody in hopes that they’ll treat you a certain way is dead in 2020. they’re not going to, accept it. and u allowed it
