Dim Sum in San Francisco at an old favorite. Last time I was here, there were no English signs just dumpling steamers piled high. So delish! #iphone #sunnycalifornia #nofilter #travel #food
Lovely lovely baby on the hasselblad.
Always exciting to send #film to @millerslab and I'm thrilled to get started in NYC. Know any families in the area? Send 'em my way! #portrait #newborn #family #photography

Our final day in #Marrakech ended at La Mamounia, which Winston Churchill called the most pleasant on earth to spend an afternoon. We spent the evening having a cocktail among portraits of Jazz greats in Churchill’s bar and wandered the grounds canopied by 300-year-old olive trees and dotted with fountains. A real pleasure after the insanity of the Souks and the Squares. #heaven #night #bar #morocco (at Bar Churchill)
Medersa Ben Yousef is absolutely beautiful and totally worth the visit! #sunny #school #morocco #marrakech #rosecity (at Medersa Ben Youssef)

Marrakech was a full on rush of sights and sounds. From the second we left the quiet sanctuary of our Riad, we entered into twisting passages leading to the main square and branching off to many different twisting alleys lined with merchants. Many sit quietly in their shops, others have young men who try to cajole or entice passersby to come in and just "have a look!" Very few of the gentle offers of tea that you read about. More: "Come On!" and "Good Prices!"
Our quiet moments were at the tourist sites which were only attended by a ticket collector and very few other workers. Little to no information or context. But they are quite beautiful. At night, we went back to Jamaa el Fna square and were subject to the full treatment: "Come to Eight! The Food is Great!" "27! Stairway to Heaven!" as the men in front of each of the (nearly identical) food tents tried to get the two of us to take a seat and order a tagine, or kebab.
We opted to start with a typical (and quiet) snail soup stand. We followed that up with a tagine and a delicious hot spiced tea from friendly cart number 69.
First day out and about in #Marrakech. Totally beautiful out with a bright blue sky and cool winds. #mosque #morocco (at Mosquée de la Koutoubia)
Made it to Marrakech. We were picked up from the airport by a car sent by our Riad. The driver handed us off at the mouth of the Souk to a small man with a cart- after excitedly fending off other suitors. He loaded our bags into the cart and led us down a dark and winding alley to our Riad. (at Jnane Mogador Hotel)
Our last full day in Paris was perfection. We walked and walked. We wandered down the Champs Élysées, under the Arc de Triomphe and through the streets to the Eiffel Tower. We walked under the Eiffel Tower and over to the Luxembourg Gardens to watch the sunset and have portraits taken by a fantastic Parisian street photographer- @bonparisien. We finished the day by heading to Le Marais to Breizh Café for crêpes.
And after several days of rain, the weather was so wonderful! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! I was out with my Olympus Pen FT and my Hasselblad 500 c/m. I can't wait to share the photographs I took and share those from Bon.
Tomorrow we leave Paris (for now) and head to Morocco. First to Marrakech, then to Mirleft. It promises to be an adventure! You should come with! Follow along on instagram, tumblr and twitter!
Just had a #beautiful day walking through #Paris. Sheer perfection! This time tomorrow, I'll be in #Morocco! #travel #iphone #nofilter (at Tombeau de Napoléon)

Oh! Good morning, #Paris! #Jogged to Le Jardin des Plantes #love #run #morning #travel pictapgo_app
Paris cafe through my iPhone. A nice place we stopped before dinner where I had a delicious tart little glass of Rosé and my friends had 0.25 liter beers- the tiniest beers any of us had ever seen. I watched blue hour descend and recede with some envy for the people still out and going about their business about.
At that hour, Paris seemed less busy. The streets were a little quieter as Parisians prepared for their evenings and tourists went to find their dinner.
