THE PAST

Leia Organa was born in secret along with her twin brother Luke, to Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. Padme died shortly after chiildbirth, and the twins needed to be hidden from their father at all costs- so the they were split up. Luke went to live with his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, and Leia was adopted by her mother’s friend Bail Organa, and his wife Queen Breha of Alderaan. Her adoptive parents loved her very much, and raised her to one day become a respected politician- which she did indeed become. 

When Leia was nineteen, the force brought Leia and Luke back together again (and also introduced her to her future husband, Han Solo.)

THE PRESENT

Leia is leaning more and more into her strategical, general like responsibilities as things are ramping up towards a war. She and Han have been married since Endor, and though they don’t see each other as often as they’d like- they are still in their honeymoon phase (mostly.) Leia would like to spend more time learning how to hone her force sensitivity, but her skillset is needed in other areas, and needed constantly. She is trying her best to cope with the fact that the timelines have seemed to split, and the “dead” have returned, but it’s all a little too strange for her liking. She won’t look too closely at this phenomenon however, for it brought her parents back to her. 

PERSONALITY

Leia is extremely intelligent, and well versed in the ways of politics and diplomacy. She is mature well beyond her years, and just as wise. That being said, she is known to have a temper. She can be brash, and unapologetically honest. She is extremely witty, and while that can be humorous and entertaining, it can just as easily sting.

There's a soft shake of her head, a small smile returning the other as she feels the warmth that surrounds them. Kylia had heard the stories of Leia but she hadn't expected the woman who stood before her. Once returned, Kylia had looked up to the woman. A war hero. A fighter. Someone who took no prisoners and held her own. It was respect that ran through her veins for Leia just then. "I do not believe so, at least, not yet but you will now." She nods just then, leaning back a little in her chair. There's comfort that courses through her being. The Force showed no signs of danger when she tested the waters walking in, a place she had expected to have to at least keep an eye turned somewhere was void of such a reason. "Thank you." With that, Kylia waved down one of the waitresses before placing an order. "How are things? I'd assume busy and probably a bit chaotic?"

Leia could feel Kylia tapping on the edge of her force boundary. She wasn’t the least bit offended- as she had done the same. Any force user worth their weight in salt would absolutely run such a test when meeting someone new. Both of their reputations preceded them, but Leia always needed to experience things for herself before she passed true judgement. Belief nothing that you hear, and half of what you see. She couldn’t remember where she’d learned that, but it had proven to be priceless advice. 

“Well....it seems there isn’t any other setting, is there?” Leia laughed a little. “Choas. Perhaps I thrive in it.” Her words were genuine, though they were a surprise even to her, hearing them out loud. “Was there something in particular you wanted to discuss?” She didn’t want to bog the woman down with small talk if there was an important matter one the line. 

Leia was a tad surprised, hearing these words pointed at her. Blinking several times, she realized....she was young. It was such an odd concept, considering the way she'd been raised and the occasions she'd needed to rise to since the age of sixteen. Laughing, she let it roll off her back. "Oh yes, what a splendor to have not a care in the world." Warm brown eyes sparkling with mirth.

"Siri, of course." Leia gestured for the jedi to join her. "What can I do for you?" She was curious as to what these questions were, and hoped they were of the "positive" variety. Saying that things in the galaxy had been tense, lately...well, that was the understatement of the century.

There was something that he liked most about Naboo but he was never quite able to place exactly what. Had it been the planet's people? Or was it the way they had always seemed to accept everyone here? Perhaps it had been it's beautifully breathtaking scenery? Whatever it was, it was the reason he was here on his own. Taking it in in the morning before slowly making his way down to the cantina where he now sat behind a table. That had been the thing, though, you never quite knew who you were going to run into in a Cantina so when Leia had answered his spoken words, he was quick to greet her with a soft smile. "It's been awhile General." His tone is soft and warm, it makes the smile upon his lips as he nods. "We met during a battle, though, I don't believe where is any important right now." He pauses, taking a step toward her, offering her the seat across from him. "Let's grab a drink, shall we? And some food. No one likes to relax on an empty stomach."

His face was familiar, she trusted that they had met- she just needed confirmation that they’d met on the right side of the battle. “Remind me.” Leia smiled politely, nodding in agreement to join him. “There’s been a lot on my mind lately, forgive me if my memory struggled to catch up. Were we fighting for similar causes?” Her smile widened, her interest piqued. 

Regardless, she would drink, and eat with him. It wouldn’t be the first time she’d sat across from someone who didn’t share her political or social interests. In fact, her father had always complimented her on such an important skillset. Though, her temper could always be ignited. She just hoped she’d improved in that area, if even just a touch.

These days, Saché’s mind was as busy as her schedule was. Preparing Padme’s visit of the orphanage was tougher than she imagined — they didn’t have to clean up the building much, but telling everyone about who was coming was a challenge. Both staff and kids were hard to convince, even if Saché herself was there to prove them than yes, the Senator was indeed alive and well and said she’d come. Not as a senator though, as a friend, and that was the hardest part of the thing. Out of nowhere, Saché decided she needed a break. That wasn’t something she did a lot, but it was necessary. She ended her shift a little earlier than usual, and left the orphanage. Once she was outside she felt immediately guilty - she usually tucked the toddlers in, and it felt weird not to be with them at this hour. There was a cantina nearby though and being in a place with adults only and another ambiance would do her some good. She wasn’t going there to get herself drunk, all she needed was some change of scenery. A glass of Leena in the hands, Saché was observing around, and frowned. She could tell the woman next to her was drifting off. The handmaiden hesitated a little, but decided to talk. “Did your mind go somewhere painful?” she asked, a concerned look on her face. “No offense, but you look out of it.” It wasn’t good to drift off somewhere alone, for anyone, and Saché didn’t want to leave the other in that situation.

It wasn’t like Leia, to be out in public like this- drinking and falling asleep at her table. She just didn’t want to be alone, but didn’t want a large company either. A cantina is the perfect place to be alone, but also around people. She suddenly regreted not having a bodyguard with her, maybe for the first time ever. 

“Oh I....” She was embarrassed, her cheeks tinting a rosy shade. “I’m just tired, I assure you.” And it was the truth. She was trained long ago to imbibe, but only just so. Make her guests feel welcome, get that warm feeling in her stomach, relax, but never more than that for all kinds of reasons.

obi-wan felt like he was barely getting used to this new reality —sure there was still so much to learn, so many people left to find— when the news of hosk station reached him. no matter what people had said, the war was not over, and obi-wan was starting to believe it never would be over. were they even fighting a war or were they about to be pulled into another plot as before? he decided he needed a drink before he had another meltdown.

     but of course the force had other plans for him, because as much as he liked to say that there were people he needed to find, a part of him wondered if he was purposely avoiding them. what would he even say to them? the person they remembered, well obi-wan wasn’t even sure he could one day become that person. the things he had gone through, no one would survive that.

     he felt her before he even saw her. skywalker. obi-wan could read anakin’s resilience in her. anakin, his brother, anakin who apparently obi-wan had fought and left for dead, his heart ached. ❝leia❞ he said before wondering if it was too late to walk away, he could see both of them in her, padmé and anakin. obi-wan wished he could’ve done things differently, spare them all the pain.

❝i- um❞ he didn’t even know where to start, she probably wouldn’t even know he was, well, not dead, but also, not an old man. ❝i believe we’ve met before❞ he started saying, but before he could continue he felt something about her, a feeling he had become familiar with, ❝leia are you alright?❞ he asked getting sidetracked, if there was someone who knew about feeling overwhelmed, it was obi-wan.

She stared at him long and hard, not a twitch in her face as she processed what she was seeing. She knew him. That voice had echoed through many a force vision these past few years. Though their paths had rarely crossed while he had lived, at least in her timeline, his presence had been a guiding force. Yes, she knew him, and knew him well. 

“Obi Wan?” The question was hollow, as she knew exactly who stood before her. Those eyes, that steely blue gaze. It was unmistakable. 

“I brought you something.” Leia grinned, pulling something out of her bag. “Hot chocolate.” He’d been the one initially to introduce the decadent substance to she and Luke. “I wasn’t going to be cliche and bring you wine, or ale. I’m sure you have plenty of that at the ready.” her deep brown eyes gleamed with good humor.

“Dad?” Leia had let herself into his quarters, but didn’t see him anywhere in the main room. She didn’t want to hunt him down, so she decided to wait for him to come out. “It’s Leia” she called out, just in case he was worried about who it was that had just invited themselves into his personal space. She knew he was here, there was a cup of something, tea probably, still emanating steam placed on the counter. 

She knew the passcode, of course- but in these times? she’d be concerned if he wasn’t being cautious.

a single brow canted upward at her daughter’s words when the first syllable escaped her lips, knowing that there was more to come. but if she had inherited her biological parent’s ability to open up about what was on their mind, well... she just hoped that she hadn’t, that something healthier had been taught from the organas. it seemed that was the case as leia continued, though the perfectionism, the pushing herself to a higher standard, that was very much like her and anakin. time away from a family that would have loved nothing more than to be with her – that was like her. karma, certainly.

“you know, back in my day,” the words are said with faint amusement. “it took jedi decades to train. i’m proud that you have high standards for yourself, but i think you should keep them realistic. high and realistic. right now, you’ve only got one of two.” padmé smiled sweetly at leia, reaching out to take one of her hands and give it a firm squeeze with her own. “perhaps you should focus on your training. your father and i can handle the new republic and the colony.”

Leia very playfully rolled her eyes at her mother. She knew what Padme meant by “back in my day” but it still sounded so silly coming from someone who barely, if at all, looked older than she did. “I know, I know....” She nodded, understanding the words being said to her, but she refused to allow them to sink in completely. She knew her mother would see the best in her, and the situation. She had trouble trusting that Padme could truly understand.She knew it was wrong, but she couldn’t help it.

“Luke was practically a Jedi master in a week.” She offered a forced smile. It was an exaggeration, but only just so.

A soft smile shifts gently over Kylia's lips at Leia's word, even though, before responding, the girl takes the seat, leaning gently upon the table, but always making sure her movements are gentle and so is her smile. She has always wanted to know Leia as more than just General. To know the woman that is before her as just the person in command. A beauty of a person, at least, in Kylia's eyes. "Thank you, but please, call me Kylia." The young Jedi speaks softly, looking around their surroundings before giggling a little at the other's question. "I'm here for leisure, actually. Though, if you do not mind the company, I'd love to eat and drink with you?" There's a pause, her gaze staying upon the woman in front of her. Gentle. Kind. Warm. "If not, I can always take my leave. I wouldn't want to intrude."

Leia felt a strong force signature from the woman before her. An impressive one, even. “Have I seen you around the temple?” She motioned for Kylia to join her. “I’m pleased to meet you.” Deep brown eyes warmed as she offered a smile to her new companion. 

There was nothing malicious or nefarious it seemed, Leia having reached out just a touch within in the force in order to get a read on her. The barriers were strong, but it was still enough to put Leia at ease for the time being. If Kylia had sensed her light testing, she hoped she hadn’t offended the woman.
