The silent treatment or withdrawal of affection being used to hurt you is a sign of emotional abuse. Being told you can’t take a joke when you get upset after your partner says mean things to you is a sign of emotional abuse. Extreme jealousy to the point they demand your passwords and force isolation from friends is a sign of emotional abuse. Using breaking up as a tool or threat to manipulate you is a sign of emotional abuse. This list goes on so much longer. You deserve so much more, including your happiness, and trust me, it’s out there. I can’t stand by and watch young couples act like this is normal anymore.
