Guinness & Chili Potato Chips!

I’ve been extremely hungry these days. I don’t know why but..I feel sluggish and low energy after work 🤨

I usually just have my protein shake for dinner but I decided to grab some Subway sandwiches on my way home since I was exhausted to even do anything lol

They had 50% off foot long special so I got 2 foot long sandwiches.

Hot Honey Chicken and Cold Cut Combo

To be very honest, I didn’t enjoy Hot Honey Chicken. The sauce was too heavy and extremely sweet. Lol..it felt like someone was literally squeezing chocolate syrup into my mouth hahaha BUT the real reason is they put something called “SubKrunch” and this thing tastes like corn and is super stale. That itself ruined the sandwich by 95% 😒

I ended up throwing the other half away…the Cold Cut Combo was good though 😊 simple, fresh, and just easy.

I think I really just love classic stuff 😝 anyway! I’m finishing off my draft from last night and guess what? I woke up this morning all bloated from those sandwiches last night 😂

It was good but not something I should do often!

I didn’t intend to make Soju Slushie but I kept it in the freezer for too long 🤭 it turned out pretty good!

I personally need some alcoholic drinks and noodles after I get back from trips to decompress that night. I picked up some McNuggets on the way because I had to use their restroom lol. I haven’t had these in a while.

While looking at the menu, I noticed they added a couple of new dipping sauces:

The Nether Flame and Creamy Chili

My goto sauce is usually Honey Mustard & Ranch or Sweet 'n Sour, depending on my mood lol 😝

Anyway, I hadddd to try 'em out :)

The Nether Flame sauce wasn’t spicy at all..lol tbh it wasn’t that flavorful.

It tasted like Red Hot Wings + ketchup.

The Creamy Chili was okay.

It tasted like… oh gosh..I forgot LOL I just remember it wasn’t that special 🤭

Anyway, pairing it with beer & noodles was 👍👍👍

I even tried eating my cup noodles the way Koreans used to eat them.

I think some people still eat it this way if they need a bowl or just for fun like me lol 😄

I used to eat them like that when I was a kid. I lived in Korea for several yrs when I was younger and my friends taught me how to eat cup noodles. One of my friends slapped my shoulder and was like, "What are you doing?? This is how you eat cup noodles!!!" 😆

Can’t go wrong with IN-N-OUT.

I’m on a day trip today and we made a quick stop at the gas station. They had ready to eat food there but it was so tiny and expensive.

Now you call this a “value” meal! 🙂‍↕️

IN-N-OUT starts from $3+ and it’s worth every penny. If I had to pick one favorite fast food it is definitely going to be this place! 🙌

I am having my favorite noodles, Teumsae Ramyun with spam, eggs, and green onions.

I mean, it’s Friday! I always like to treat myself to good food and drinks on Friday nights.

Sometimes it’s enough to lie to my friends or even my ex (shhh 🤫) and say I’m busy just so I can have some alone time on a Friday night 😂

I just can’t give up my Fridays! Especially after work on Fridays? Heck yeaas

I’m an ambivert but I am starting to learn to value my solitude. I’m still enjoying tonight. How about you?

Yes, today is just a weekday but I felt like having some wine, salami, cracker and cheese :)

It is just one of those days and I really wanted to chill and give myself some acknowledgment for coming this far.

I have worked hard emotionally since last year and tonight I decided to surprise myself with jazz and wine 😉

I am absolutely grateful to even be able to enjoy this time while putting my pain and wounds to the side because in the beginning, I was constantly consumed by pain and couldn’t help myself from spiraling into despair. Coming this far is totally unbelievable.

Am truly grateful for God’s grace although I still lack faith.

It’s only Tuesday but it’ll be Friday soon! Time doesn’t wait, it’ll always pass :)

Zero Sugar Soju with ice cream! 😂

I haven’t had soju in a long time.

I was desperately looking for the zero sugar one by Jinro but couldn’t find it anywhere nearby. I ended up grabbing these instead and had one bottle yesterday. Now I’m dealing with a mild hangover 😝 I honestly have a pretty bad headache today. Electrolytes aren’t helping much either 😂 it’s okay, I will survive 😉

Food Review

I recently tried the Korean noodles called Paik Jjajang, mainly because this guy behind it has been facing a lot of controversy and issues in South Korea lately. I was curious about how confident someone must be to continue producing and marketing new products under their own name despite the backlash. He must be incredibly reputable or at least confident to print his name and face on the packaging.

Unfortunately, he’s not actually a chef, but more of a businessman disguised as a celebrity. He’s clearly leveraging his fame to promote his business. But there’s a reason why his products don’t stand out among competitors- they’re not unique at all. In fact, Paik Jjajang tasted worse than most similar products on the market. It reminded me of Chapagetti by Nongshim (this is my favorite one when it comes to instant jjajang noodles), but with an unpleasant sugary twist.

Personally, I didn’t enjoy it at all. Honestly, who would buy his products unless they’re biased or already a fan?

Free Breakfast FTW

I’ve been craving sushi all week! Kura is definitely a great casual place to enjoy sushi alone. I’ve been feeling much more comfortable eating alone lately, tbh 🤭. Sundays feel like an escape from reality for me, so I try to spend some me-time by treating myself outdoors.

I just wish there were a restaurant here with those individual booth style dividers like in Japan, that would be perfect for someone like me! 😆
