Let me preface this by saying I'm a huge proponent of manifestation and positive thinking and hard work and the law of attraction but not in the way that capitalism tries to frame it. They push this narrative that glorifies exhaustion and sleep deprivation and tells people they need to work as much as they can as soon as they can, which only results in people who have spent the majority of their lives punching a clock wondering why they aren't millionaires. And its because that not how that works. Pulling double shifts and thinking its going to eventually bring in millions is not in any way realistic and thats not to discredit the work ethic of others or squash their dreams. Its just the truth. No one has ever become a millionaire by punching a clock. The people giving these Tony Robbins or Grant Cardone-esque speeches know they didn't amass their fortunes by burning the candle on both ends 24/7. The people who work for them and punch the clock for them is the reason they are well off and can live a life where they give these condescending speeches under the guise of being inspirational. While that "work tirelessly" narrative may have been applicable to older generations. Its simply just not true anymore. People have proven everyday that thanks to the internet and social media you can manifest greats sums of money without having to slave yourself for it. Its all about believing you are doing enough to deserve but our elders have ingrained in us that we are not doing enough because we don't have the same desire to work ourselves to the bone. Personally, I no longer recoil at the word lazy. People can try to insult me with it all day. I do not care. I'm not going to even attempt to pretend I enjoy exerting energy when I don't. I've lost all desire to fake the funk and give my energy to something that doesn't bring me joy and I know all of my needs and wants will still be met because they always have been. I wholeheartedly move through life with the knowledge that what is meant for me is going to always be for me. And if you don't believe it or believe you can't make ends meet without slaving at a job you hate then as much as I hate to be another person using this cliché phrase "you need to change your mindset". I use to scoff at that and think it was such a condescending expression too but it holds so much truth and as soon as you dedicate yourself to a life of gratitude you can rest easy knowing all of your desires will be met regardless of how much physical exertion you put into something.  Action does not always equal intention. And believe it or not, intention is more important when manifesting. Vain action is the most counterproductive act that will set you back in your goals. Honestly, I'd rather be told to change my mindset over being told to rest when I'm dead. No human on this earth should have to die to finally know peace and rest. I will not spend whatever time I have on this planet living just to pay bills.
