From r/Hellenism. I will not talk to myth literalists when it comes to Greek, Norse, African, Japanese, and other mythologies. I get that the Greek ones can be dicks but applying 21s century standards to them is weird.
I find it weird when people with "PhDs" will make stuff like the Persephone complex or Cassandra complex. It's the same as Stockholm Syndrome which is not only fake but sexist as well. These types of people could be using historical figures for their research and stuff but no. If it's monsters then get the fuck away from this account. This isn't me saying I'm anti psychology. Far from that.
I just find it ridiculous with sources like "The God in every Man" and "The Goddess in Every Woman" because it just feels laughable.
Earth and Water
A couple of earth and water altars on reddit.
In this house, we respect Demeter, Persephone, and Hades!
From a meme about the Medieval Catholic Church in real life. Thank God I have and will never use Facebook because they buy into the whole "They didn't burn witches they burned women" bullshit.
You know who was doing that? 1500s Protestants. They took away the religious institutions created by Catholic women. They were disgusted by mother Mary. The Catholic Church was never afraid of smart and intelligent women.
It's funny because a lot of these types of witches buy into that book not realizing it was against women. I understand that the Catholic Church has a lot of skeletons in the closet but it there are plenty of Catholics who condemn these things. Myself included.
I'm putting this post on this account because of people who leave Christianity and join the occult only to buy into this type of nonsense.

Norse pagans are allowed here as well. Just not the Neo Nazi type. Along with Celtic pagans, and others.
What angels are
1. Men
2. Women
3. Children and babies
4. Teenagers
5. Dogs and cats
6. Genderless beings (more so this one)
What they aren't
This abomination
Angels can appear in any form but they are described as being genderless. Even the bible says so.
“Virgin Mary Consoles Eve” (Advent song, painting, poem)
This painting is by Sister Grace Remington, OCSO (in 2003) and has become quite well-known over the last few years.
Sister Grace Remington, OCSO Sisters of the Mississippi Abbey in Dubuque, Iowa. http://www.mississippiabbey.org/
My friend Marg wrote about some theological implications of the image at http://newlife.id.au/christian-theology/mary-consoles-eve/
and Marg wrote a more detailed post, dealing with the Hebrew language in Genesis 3:15. It turns out there is a lot going on in that verse! http://newlife.id.au/equality-and-gender-issues/who-will-crush-the-serpents-head-genesis-315/

The painting inspired a song newly composed and released by Rain for Roots, the group spearheaded by Sandra McCracken and friends.

About the song, they write,
Mary Consoles Eve was a song we all wrote together. I really felt like it needed to be written in response to Sister Grace’s gorgeous drawing, but couldn’t get it right on my own. I was so moved by the awakening of the thought that Eve needed consoling: that she knew a rescuer was coming, but didn’t know who, or when. She waited so long, seeing the consequences of their disobedience, watching things disintegrate. What must have it been like to find out how God would do what he did? Sandra picked up on the blush on Eve’s cheek: “lift up your head, don’t hide your blushing face- the Promised One is finally on his way.” ~Katy Bowser
Eve, my sister The one who took the fall Eve, my sister Mother of us all Lift up your head Don’t hide your blushing face The promised One Is finally on His way Almost, not yet, already Almost, not yet, already Eve, it’s Mary Now I’m a mother too The child I carry A promise coming true This baby comes to save us from our sin A servant King, His kingdom without end Almost, not yet, already Almost, not yet, already He comes to make his blessings flow As far and wide as the curse is found He comes to make His blessings flow Almost, not yet, already, Almost, not yet, already…soon Eve, my sister The one who took the fall Eve, my sister Mother of us all The promised One Is finally on His way
Written by Katy Bowser (©2015 Velveteen Songs [SESAC]), Flo Paris Oakes (©2015 Flo Paris Music), Sandra McCracken (©2015 Drink Your Tea, [ASCAP], Admin by Simpleville, Inc.) & Kenny Hutson (©2015 Jiggyfoot Music [SESAC])

This poem was written by another nun about the painting, 10 years ago:
O Eve! My mother, my daughter, life-giving Eve, Do not be ashamed, do not grieve. The former things have passed away, Our God has brought us to a New Day. See, I am with Child, Through whom all will be reconciled. O Eve! My sister, my friend, We will rejoice together Forever Life without end.
— Sr Columba Guare © 2005 Sisters of the Mississippi Abbey
Created by sisters at Our Lady of the Mississippi Abbey, the picture and poem have been made into matted prints as well as greeting and Christmas cards.

Our Lady of Guadalupe. Please pray for us!
Wether you are a witch or not or wether you agree with Christian witches or not, we can all agree that this prayer is wholesome. It fills my heart when I read it, so I wanted to share. The Love of God is neverending, keep seeking Jesus with child's eyes and the humbleness of the elder 🤍

come springtide I am bound to earth to my mother’s sunfilled meadows, her unequivocal, enduring love. and by the fading light of summer I return to my lover’s onyx walls and cimmerian heart. I cherish both but they know they would have no claim on me if I did not desire it for I belong to myself, I am only my own— half blooming creation, half blazing hellfire. he calls me his lady but he knows I am a queen. x
