if u consider brendon urie coming out as pan enough to cancel out his past misogyny, actual sexual misconduct/assault allegations, and the fact that in the exact same in which he comes out he says that he believes people (especially people of color) being outraged by roseanne barr’s racist tweets the exact same as people being racist and violent towards athletes of color for protesting racially charged violence in the united states by not standing for the national anthem then what i take it to mean when you say he’s done a lot for lgbt people, what you MEAN is, he’s done a lot for white middle-upper class cis same gender attracted people, and other lgbt people who don’t fit that demographic can pretty much get fucked

if your idea of progress being made for lgbt people is white/cis lgbpq people bending over backwards for white cishets at the expense of gays who are considered less palatable so that those cishets will be like “hm i guess not all gay people are bad. but i’m still transphobic and racist and classist etc” then i am not sure we are part of the same lgbt “community”
