These are the next four polaroids which I did for my final scrapbook page, as well as the picture of the whole page. These four show Owen and Gwen on a date in a record shop, I wanted to show some more interior and the style of the architecture in this world, Some characters on a couch in the evening maybe watching a movie, again with some interior designing, The girls at the beach with Elijah and Bailey playing with a frisbee in the back and finally, another group selfie of the characters at a halloween party all in different costumes, this was something that I wanted to do for the FMP poster but I thought it would be better to keep those simpler. I will actually change the background of this one and instead of I being in a garden with orange trees, decorations and a sunset sky, I will design some interior for the organisation where they all live, but maybe with some pumpkins and orange and green lights, to give the impression of a party.

Today I started filling in one final scrapbook page that goes over some rough designs for more Polaroids that I'm aiming to complete over summer. I got the first four done today, and those show the main four characters; Owen, Bailey, Finn and Gwen sitting along a fence talking with a forest background, Some characters investigating monster footsteps in the forest at night, Lash and Elijah having a date night reading and fixing a stop watch with Bailey asleep behind them, and Finn and Abigail having a date night baking cupcakes and dancing to music, I wanted to have one with the four main characters only, one where they are on a mission and some simple date night ones, as for the last six, I mainly just had random group pairings doing generic things like shopping, swimming or taking a selfie, so it was nice to get to explore these new ideas.

These are the HD versions of all my outcomes, that being the finished Comic book page, the Polaroid poster with added detail like shadows, pins holding up the pictures and the smaller lettering, and all three variations of my poster, one with my name at the bottom like a book cover, one without like a promotional poster and the exhibit version which I made to look like a comic book cover, with the barcode, issue number book, comics code of authority stamp and some white rectangles behind it to make it look like a book with pages.

Today my teacher gave me back the photocopied page of my comic book where she has coloured in one of the panels. Doing this helped me realise that colour can be completely different people's heads, and how important it is to find a style and colour pallet that people will like. Because while I try not to, when I buy comic or browse in shops, I do tend to judge books based off their covers and art style, because if something doesn't look appealing or has an art style that I don't like and find unflattering or lazy, then chances are, I'm not going to buy it, for example the dog man or captain underpants books never appealed to me because even when I was little, I never liked the scribbled art style. So getting this back from my teacher helped me plan out my last few panel's colouring and even affected the outcome, due to this, I actually went through my sketches and some rough digitalising work I had done and tried to spot some things that could maybe be made more visually interesting with colour.

Today I finished off this page from my scrapbook which I was working on sketching faces in, I put some sketches of things that would be in the characters rooms, like plants, calendars, lamps and decorations. These are for Gwen's room who has a grunge Pinterest aesthetic so I put in things like mushrooms, dreamcatchers, polaroids on a string, vinyl's crystals, a polaroid camera, candles and a teddy bear. There are some things missing from this page though, things like paints, pens and a canvas easel as she is into art. I want to try and do this for the main four characters too, and I'll have things like sketchbooks, games and DVDs that are references to real life movies and games, hats, and random items which would be in a teen's room, maybe an 8-ball, dart board, posters, different shoes, framed pictures and maybe some references to media I like, I have already done this with the jar of eyes on this page which is from the mystery shack in Gravity Falls.

Today I filled in the rest of the map page in my scrapbook with some of the floor plans for the base where my characters work and live in the comic series, that being the 'Sevenfold Syndicate' I did these in no order as I don't know where each floor should be in the order, I started with a simple bedroom floor where our characters live, I think this looks fine but I would rather they have their own kind of house, within a floor, so like you go into a double door and there is an apartment layout where there is a communal living room, kitchen, two or three bathrooms, and eight bedrooms, like a dorm/apartment all in one floor with maybe three others. Then I did the council chambers, where the three council heads, Herry, Kaemen and Firefly work and give out missions and information. on the same floor is the prison, a waiting room and some storage, this floor is the one at the top middle, the bottom middle shows the library which takes up an entire floor, and finally the floor on the right is kind of the main floor, it has the training room/gym where Owen and Gwen work on their magic and where Finn, Rachel and Elijah work out, the portal dock, where there are loads of portals that lead to different locations, like the main cities, the food court and kitchen, the three council head's bedrooms, but these would be much bigger in reality, and then I've also included the team's living room because there was no space left on the first floor I drew. In the actual syndicate there would probably be at least three more floors, having things like the portal dock and creature habitat have their own floor, but this was a helpful first draft. Also because the Syndicate is underground the relic vault which I've drawn by itself would be at the very bottom, deep underground, and has a force field type mechanism so that portal coins cannot open inside this room, and maybe I should also have one around the whole syndicate.

Over the weekend, after I completed my final evaluation, I had a little bit of free time and I decided to draw another page in my sketchbook since I haven't had the time to do one in a few months now, and as I just recently watched X-men 97 for the first time in preparation for season two, I wanted to do a page for them. I used several images as reference, things like poses of the characters from fan art on Pinterest and a few poses from the comics, that being Colossus, Wolverine and Jean Grey. I think that this page looks really good and colourful but I do think it might look better with a yellow background, but I don't want to ruin it, so for now I will leave it. Hopefully over summer I can get a few more pages done.

This is the updated exhibit poster featuring the polaroids of my characters which I completed at the start of the project. All I've done now is added pins to the top of the polaroids, made the writing on the bottom of them smaller, changed the shadows slightly, and added a coffee ring to the top picture. I also made the angle of the middle left picture so it looks like it's blowing in the wind slightly. These changes were suggested to me by my teacher and I think they all improved the poster and made it look more interesting.

Today I filled in another page of my scrapbook (almost) with the description of how the world looks, a list of species and a map of the city where Owen and Bailey live in the first few issues, Dirtstrand. For the description, I talked about what kind of things exist in the world, and what don't, it's a bit of a weird mixture, it's kind of a what if technology was in a fantasy world, so while there's magic, creatures, fantastical species and ancient relics with divine power, there are also phones, trains, TVs, vinyl's, vending machines, headphones, washing machines, fridges, microwaves, LED lights, trams, and air ships. Because I thought that was always a really cool idea and the only other things I can think of that have this vibe are Adventure Time, and The Adventure Zone graphic novel series. The map is pretty basic and since I have some ideas for the first few issues written down in some google docs, it was easy coming up with things that should be included, like I know there is a clock tower on the edge of a cliff, a giant library, a river with fishing boats on the outskirts of the city, a giant wall around the city and a blacksmith next to one of the city entrances which is run by Owen and Bailey's friend Clara. But some things like the air tram system, the zoo, the creek where teens can hang out next to Bailey's cave and the giant animal skeleton were all new introductions to the city, but really help flesh out the world in a simple way. and things like this will help me create more locations in the future.

This is the almost finished page of my comic book at the top, I have now completed all of the panels and I'm pretty happy with all of it except for the fourth panel. After I finished the page I realised that in the final panel, in my sketch I had there be a 'click' written across the panel because Owen asked 'what was that noise?' and I hadn't added it so I went back and quickly added it in. I also made a small correction on the first panel with the small piece of moss coming off the right of the temple and made it slightly darker, as it was a bit of an eye sore.

These are some sketches from my scrapbook of items and relics from my comic book. I started with a fire symbol which will be onto of the I in the title 'Relicscape' as I designed one for the title on my poster but I always thought I could do better and I want there to be several iconic symbols for the comic for things like merch and tattoos, then I designed all of the seven relics and the secret eighth relic, the golden apple, the order I drew them in was The candle, The skull horn, The glass orb, The phoenix necklace, The fortune's eye emerald, The Chronis watch and The warden's hand. These are the main seven relics which the character's are after and the golden apple is a secret one which the person who made the relics, (the grandfather) hid so no one could use all of the power. The other items are some less important things that belong to the characters, The hook is Finn's, the orb is Gwen's which she makes fly around by using her magic, the book is Lash's which she writes down everything important in, and the coin with the square hole is a portal coin, once these are thrown a square portal opens up, they look kind of like the portals from the TVA in Loki. I think that I might change the look of the horn, candle and emerald, not because they are bad or anything, I just think they can look better and more interesting, the horn is interesting but I wanted it to look like a skull of an animal with a horn coming from it and you could use that as an actual blowing horn, so I'll try to make it into that.

Today I finished my last panel which is the first panel on the page, it's the establishing shot of the jungle temple the characters are in for the duration of the page. I started with the leaves and trees around the temple and sides of the panel, I tried to keep them dark around the sides as to not take away from the temple and sky which is the main focus, my aim was to make it look like the reader was peeking through the leaves to look at the temple and I think that it worked great. Next I added in the sky background which I tried something a little different with, usually I would have either merged the colours together with the smudge tool or gotten a sunset gradient from Pinterest but this time I tried the technique from the Netflix show 'Hilda' where you have the sky colours go up or down in darkness in lines, and I quite like how it looks, it looks simple but also works pretty well. Then I started colouring in the leaves scattered around, the moss and stone on the pillar on the left, before moving onto the temple itself, I tried to make t look interesting and not just have bland brown and grey colours, so I really tried to mix different colours together, shades of gold, purple, green and orange. I think that it looks pretty good but I might change the bright yellow on the left of the door so it's slightly darker, and matches the gold on the right side.

These are the process pictures from finishing off my bottom two panels of my comic book page, I started with the trap in the bottom right, I had this sketched in my scrapbook so all I had to do was select the colours for the outlines and then fill it in with dark and light shades of brown. Then I just did the same background as all the rest, with the tan backdrop, the brown brick outlines, and then the shading and highlights. After adding the vines I finished up with the second the last panel, with the characters Finn and Gwen, all I had to do was add in the shadows and the highlights on the background wall. I've also included a picture of how the whole page is looking at the minute, All I need to do now is the first panel which is an establishing shot of the jungle temple they are in, as well as maybe a few small details if I spot any that need changes.

Atlantis was never really a film that I grew up watching but around a year ago I put it on for the first time and was pleasantly surprised, I liked the feel of Atlantis in this as it felt like it was from a different world but still with the architecture of ancient temples from different cultures like Mayan and Aztec. Since one of my characters is an atlantean, that means I'll need to create my own interpretation of the underwater city but I obviously want to make it look different from other media. In mine I will have it be fully underwater like the one from DC unlike this one which was in some kind of air bubble force field I think, and is inhabited by humans, I want the houses to be made of reef and to all be multicoloured and overgrown as it has been around for centuries, hundreds of different sea creatures all live and communicate in different ways, like some blow bubbles and the different sizes and numbers mean certain letters and words, underwater hot springs and ghaisas are used as transport, sea shell houses, and houses that are tied down by anchors.

Treasure planet was one of my favourite movies as a kid, I've probably seen it around thirty times because I loved the steam punk sci-fi gadgets and ships, as well as the unique characters, like the captain cat woman Amelia, Morph the pink slime shapeshifter, Ben the crazy robot, Jim Hawkins the punk teenager hero and Scroop the spider-like henchman of John Silver. The aesthetic for this film was one of the heavy influences for the feel of the world of my comic series, not necessarily the characters but I always loved how they turned a simple pirate sea adventure into a steam punk space opera, so in my comic, it mainly takes inspiration from fantasy worlds like Hilda, The Adventure Zone and some aspects of Gravity Falls, but has elements of steam punk with things like air ships, air trams, trains, stopwatches, floating orbs and architecture.

Scooby doo was never really something I watched when I was growing up but I did used to watch zombie island, a pup named Scooby doo, a few episodes of mystery incorporated as well as the live action movies, so when I was designing my characters I wanted them to have a similar teen solving mystery aesthetic which I think I've done very nicely, but something that's always bothered me about Scooby doo was that these characters seem like they would never hang out outside of mystery solving, Scooby and shaggy are the slacker, stoners who get scared at everything, Velma is the book work genius, Fred was the leading man jock and Daphne was the popular damsel for a while before becoming more independent over the years, and while its interesting seeing all of these personalities teaming up to fight monsters, I can't see them being friends which is what I want my group of characters to be, I want them to go out fighting werewolves, evil wizards, sirens, ghosts and pirates and then come back to their base and watch a movie together, go out shopping, play video games, go swimming and just hang out.

Young justice is a cartoon from the 2010s that I watched around a year ago, I wanted to Brin it up because the teen dynamic and dialogue is really entertaining to watch and one of the strongest parts of the show. This was a great influence for me as before I watched this I was struggling to give each character a personality that felt unique and not just 'the nerd' 'the jock' 'the stoner' and so on, but I still wanted them to all have a similar type of humour so that it makes sense they're all friends. After watching this it was much easier to give them each a diverse personality, making Finn the dumb reckless jock and Owen the scaredy cat magician but they all have a sarcastic, quippy, jokey side. Also the character designs very quite helpful as Robin's physique was what helped me redesign Finn as I was struggling to draw muscles.
