FMA BIG BANG 2017

Hey there!  I’m intending there to be one, yes!  Unfortunately, I got a bit slammed with some other projects as well as moving (my apartment is a MESS right now XD ), so it will probably be later in the year.

Hey, guys!  If you haven’t received an extension yet (if you’re not sure, we’ll be sending out emails with confirmation again, in case you’re concerned), this is a reminder that your final work is due on November 19.

Please have your masterpost finished by then: either the artist or writer can post it, and we’ll reblog it to the Big Bang blog starting then!!  Make sure your post has a link to both the fic and the art.

So here’s the deal!  Same as last year:

SCHEDULE

If you haven’t received an extension, your posting deadline is November 19. By that time, your fic/art should be posted online and a complete masterpost should be submitted to us.

If you or someone from your team has received an extension, you will have been advised of your deadline via email.

If you need an extension and have not received an email from us, please contact us via email ASAP.

MASTERPOST

Once all of your content has been posted (the fic in its entirety + all of the art), either the author or one of the artists are required to create a tumblr masterpost and either post it to their own blog or submit it to ours. We have talked at length about masterposts and posting for the challenge in general here.

OTHER INFO

The format and platform in which you post are absolutely up to you. If you wish to post your story to AO3 or ffnet, do so. If you wish to post it to tumblr, go right ahead. If you want to post it to all three and livejournal and your own personal website, that’s fine with us, too. The same goes for art — whichever platform you prefer you can post to. Just make sure you link us to one in your masterpost.

We also don’t want to hinder your posting time. If you want to start posting your art/fic now, but know your project partner/s won’t be ready until next week, you can do so as long as everyone in your team is all right with it. However, we won’t accept your masterpost unless all art and the fic in its entirety is posted online.

Hello, Artists! Please send in a draft of your artwork, attached to an email that includes:

The name you signed up under

The number of the fic you're working on

An estimated percentage of how complete your artwork is

If you anticipate needing an extension

While your artwork does NOT need to be completed, we do need to see at least a draft of your art piece(s), to show you are making progress. Please send this in by the end of the day, September 30.

Regarding check-ins: I know they were supposed to be yesterday, but Hurricane Harvey rolled on in around here right as I got home and wiped out my power, leaving me with only frozen hot pockets and a dying phone.  A sad tale, to be sure.

Keep your eyes peeled tonight or tomorrow for the check-in and details about what that entails!

Hey there!  Please hold off on posting your fic on any medium or site until the posting date.  You can share small (emphasis on small!) snippets on your tumblr, but the fic—even the first chapter of the fic—should not be posted until October 3, and should be completely posted by the end of the posted period.

The claims masterpost is for initial claims only. 

However, we will be adding all artists to the summaries as well when we have the time, and we’ll let you know when that’s done. All artists will also be featured on the final masterposts for each project.
