The Bridgerton writers tried to tell y'all in so many words and scenes that Francesca Bridgerton isn't romantically or sexually attracted to men. She has never dreamed of meeting her future boyfriend or husband. Every time someone mentioned having a house full of kids, the color drained from her face. Dancing with men literally gave her anxiety. Even Eloise has shown interest in guys whereas Francesca hasn't.
John was the perfect match for her lavender marriage. He loved her as she was. Before he died, they had just started having more sex for the sole purpose of having kids even though they had been married for almost year already.
Francesca literally sees sex as a chore. A means to an end. She has no clue that it's supposed to be fun.
