hi! the second house is always something i e been more curious about, i was wondering what other interpretations it has other than finances and self worth?
my natal second house is in leo (17°) its ruler is my gemini sun in the 11th house and i have a leo saturn (20°) in it. one interpretation of this might be that my self worth or finances come from my connection towards others and my communication with others. this might be something i will learn life lessons thru, with saturn in a capricorn degree.

hi love. the second house shows you the cards that you've been dealt with in the material world and if you play your cards right, it unlocks material wealth. the cards we're dealt comes through our parents so our early childhood which is shaped by what our parents provided for us is seen through the second. we see the skills that we were born with, regardless of if these skills are nurtured or remain dormant—either way, these skills are avenues for material security because material security is our birthright. how you manifest things money can buy is seen through here. it's a material house so finances and self-worth are going to bleed into all 2nd house things, including what we value. another interpretation relates to the root chakra. we can look at the second house when we are looking to feel safe and secure in the material world, especially during these times where economic stability is a main concern. when it comes to natal vs solar return, the solar return 2H can show us what is physically materializing that year and what we are to prioritize for the year in order to expand our material wealth and make us feel more secure.
leo 2H with saturn shows me that when it comes to joy, you need to run a strict program. i think of the phrase "do what you love, the money will follow". you may come from a background where your joy was not prioritized and through that you could have learned to put your happiness on the backburner. finances come through devotion to your soul which is activated by nurturing your creative force. creative blocks are directly tied to finances. there is a creative gift (you're honestly probably multi-faceted with the gemini influence) that you have that has either been neglected or suppressed. pouring into your creativity may also be hindered by the demand for money which is how saturn traps you in survival mode. i read 20° as a scorpio degree and it pertains to you needing to do the hard part of killing off the version of you attached to poverty, low self-esteem, self-neglect, etc. it almost feels plutonic, ironically with your username lol. 2H ruler in the 11th house does require visibility and exposure through authentic self-expression. consuming too much of what others are thinking, saying, and doing can irritate that saturn in leo because it sabotages your ability to be authentic. what's the point in sharing and being seen if you're going to just be another clone? i hope this resonates!!
