Breaking out of my self imposed social media hiatus to let you all know just how much #AreYouOk can mean to someone. My @bearded_villains_of_louisiana chapter brother @the_sugar_villain broke through my many many walls I have thrown up around me and got my ass to go to lunch with him today. For the first time in weeks I didn't think about everything going on in my life that's stressing me out, that's weighing on me constantly, I just laughed and enjoyed spending a couple of hours and a few beers with a great guy and an even better friend. This went beyond @beardedvillains or any beard brother shit, this was someone that was genuinely concerned for a friend and wanted to make sure that they were ok, and people, it meant the fucking world to me. Scott, I said it earlier but I'm serious, I literally cannot thank you enough for just being there, you're a true friend and I'm beyond blessed to have the honor to call you Brother.

So much accomplished in a short time but, damn, there is a long way to go. #NeverQuitting

Here is my story: In the year 2000 my mom was in a coma due to a blood clot in her lungs, this clot was caused by the deterioration of her circulatory system due to her weight. After that terrible episode my mom managed to lose 100 pounds by herself, but then hormonal problems appeared. Her thyroid hormone was out of control and that caused her to have half of her thyroid gland extracted.  She has to take thyroid supplements for life and that has rocketed her weight up. Causing her excruciating pain in her knees due to the lose of cartilage in her joints. Lung problems are back due to the weight too. Alongside of kidney problems, circulatory problems and even digestive problems. All of this together has caused her to have anxiety attacks from time to time. Doctor said that if she doesn't lose weight soon she will end in a wheel chair or dead due to the all kind of health problems that her weight has caused. My mom is just 44 years old... I'm trying to gather the funds for the part that insurance won't cover. Her surgery is in a month. Any help towards the goal set would be absolutely helpful and appreciated.
