Every part of me goes in different directions.
Yo, I hope I'm not out of line since I am a light skin/white-passing Latino, but I feel so much comradeship with black people, even though we have very different experiences.
hey where was the lyrics in your zeke/mylene edit from??
They're from Billie Eilish's 'Bored', but I did change the last lyrics from (original) 'But I will never can afford' to (my version) 'But I want what I can't afford'.
here i go again but can you justā¦ā¦.sit down and think about how Good dizzee is. he just wants to make art and love a boy and have a bunch of buttons in his room and love his siblings and love music and performing and not care what anyone thinks about him and live his life freely iām a mess dude
Not TGD related, but I'm also making a Jackie/Hyde edit, and thought I'd share, because let's be honest: this has become both my main and personal blog...

Zeke/Mylene edit on the way!
mood: thor telling dizzeeĀ ādonāt worry, youāll be let inā to the gay club and then dizzee being denied entry into the gay club until that one guy checks him out and is likeĀ ālet him ināĀ
THIS GAY ICON?!?!?!!?!?!!?!??!?!!?!??!?!! SINGLEHANDEDLY SAVED SET ME FREE BY THE SOUL MADONNAS BY SEEING THE GAY⢠HIDDEN IN DIZZEEāS SOUL & LETTING DIZZEE INTO THE CLUB
maybe iām mixing people up but thatās pakoussa who says to let dizzee in, right?Ā
HOLY SHIT
the hair?!?! the t shirt?!? the biggest piece of evidence, the metal band on his left arm?!?! CARLO PAKOUSSA REALLY IS THAT GAY ICON, WHO REMIXES FAR FAR AWAY FOR THE BI ICON MYLENE CRUZ, WHO MAKES GAY ICONS THE SOUL MADONNAāS SONGĀ āSET ME FREE,ā THE SONG OF BI ICON DIZZEE KIPLINGS SEXUAL AWAKENING, POPULAR IN MAINSTREAM MEDIA ⦠CARLO PAKOUSSA IS REALLY THAT ICONIC
I love all the different forms of intelligence portrayed in The Get Down Brothers. They are all geniuses but none in the same way. I think the most obvious differences are in Dizzeeās and Zekeās genius. Dizzee is a genius but it comes up in images and ways some people canāt understand. Zeke is the kind of person you think of when you think of a genius but all the boys are just as much of a genius as him.
Re-watching That 70's Show is really eye-opening to how different life was for white people (minus Fez) compared to black people. I love both shows, and I'm not trying to say one is better than the other, just the stark contrast which is really evident after watching TGD. The two shows really are the perfect example of white privilege and systematic racism, and it's really heartbreaking how much harder life was/is for black youth compared to white youth.
Shout out to every black person whoās excited as fuck about finally getting a major movie about a black superhero with all black supporting cast (made up of some extremely talented actors and actresses) directed by a (fantastic) black director set in Africa. Iām legitimately excited for all of you
I know some people are/were upset that it took this long BUT just like Wonder Woman now is a damn good time in this world to have first time big movies featuring awesome powerful representations of a woman or a black man and just like Wonder Woman, maybe itās good they took their time to get it right? Had these movies come out 5 years ago, they might have sucked.
You can bet that my light skinned latino ass is going to be there for that midnight release because Black Panther looks amazing.
Also, that song is incredible.
