Guys. GUYS.

Leena doesn't run away when she's on the ground and I walk past her anymore. Sometimes she doesnt even get up - she just lays there and watches me.

From a cat who flew away if she even thought she was being perceived to watching me walk past like a foot away.🥹

And then it was done.

Took almost 3 years, but I have a king size quilted duvet cover!

Let the quilting begin!

I have 4 different colours for the top thread, and will section the quilt into quarters from the centre (up/down, left/right), so each quadrant will have its own top thread colour. It will also make it easier to do each seam - only half a quilt at once instead of a whole thing

1st quarter done, with cream thread

Half quilted!

Another quarter done

I'll do that last quarter another day, and redo some of that first section to match this style.

Then I'll trim and seam the raw edge and take a day to remove approx 600 safety pins and trim all the ends.

After that I need probably another day to sew the back and zipper onto the sides to make a duvet cover. And thats it!

Maybe another 3 days worth of work on it?

Redoing a bit of the first section, then going to try and get the edge trimmed and cleaned up today.

#cats man #leena #i mean ive had cats before #i know this is cat behaviour #its just that she hasnt really shown these behaviours #and is suddenly quite a social cat #honestly as soon as she figures out pettting i never get a moments peace #she is so damn cute
